It's also important to remember that pheno expression is environmentally triggered. A prize pheno may grow spectacularly in my space, and the same pheno expresses different in the next tent based on the inputs

Precisely, as I have a Mad Berry grown, and growing again now, as well as at a mate, and all 4 plants are purple,

But have a guy growing a clone from the same plant, but his hasnt got purple at all on it.

Added, everything is the same, clone, soil, lights.

Just the nutrients he is using

Only issue I have with clones from other sources rather than my own garden is that I'm not sure of the pheno I'm receiving. The other concern for me is pests, one in particular spider mites as they are difficult to spot in small numbers but anyone who's had to battle with them knows just a few gone unnoticed is a ticking time bomb

Imagine you own such a business, and then you have public news and reports of having such an issue, you wouldn't be around long if that was the case.

They have a standard and reputation to uphold,

You can get other fenos yes, but they might not always be better, it the chance you take with a seed, and they remove that guess out of the equation.

    Great discussion actually

I agree with @Ill_Evan no ways will you find anyone dishing out or selling enmasse to the public, their prized pheno.... Some decent ones yes... But what you really wanna be growing.... Likely not.

And then pests like @Marzcanna said... You don't want anything funky coming your way... Better the devil you know than the devil you don't...

I'm not sure that would be true, as they would want to sell the best they could, to keep you coming back and to keep themselves in business, I'd think.

Would it not be silly to sell something less attractive, if you could? Then those people aren't doing themselves a favor.

Like a breeder, who sells their prize winning strains.

  4. I've gotten clones sent to me by a person who bought clones from them, and they are all winners, I havent got one I dont like or enjoy smoking.

Now starting to make a small side line business of clones of my own strains and feno, and give the EC guys a option.

I think, if you got a good feno, you cutting out the hunt for one and can get it straight away, know it's good and not going to disappoint you.

But you need to be careful too, some are after money only

Dude, some of my orders from China have taken 12 months! Lol

I am happy, or content rather, with my current setup. We seriously do not smoke much and this is more for the fun of growing as I am now back at it again after a 6 year hiatus. But these leds are keeping me up at night when I see the quality and quantity they produce, hence my interest in them.

Right now, you better off with the heat from the HPS.

Save through winter and get the boss LED on the next round.

You got a decent setup for now and wouldnt waste time or money now.

check out @Light It Up, they have a mobicred option where you can pay the light off monthly, maybe thats an option for you if you cant afford to splurge in one go.

Those credit companies rip you I'm sorry🙈

Save and pay the light cash at...

    Light it Up

    GrowOpz

    Xsplifficent

Or other local supply, but not double the cost on credit

Correct. One needs to trust their equipment first and foremost in order to get their grow as close to perfection as possible. I agree with you but my damn wallet and the boss at home disagree lol

I think, in the end, you might get the one you can afford, and then later have to upgrade to the right light. Which is going to cost more as you bought 2 lights, and had the frustration of an incompetent light, and chance you may get put off growing too, then have to pay again from zero again, for a better light.

My personal opinion is, dont start now, dont rush to grow, wait and save and get the right light out the door, and you will get better bud out the door too, such a win win.

Trust the guys, we have done the school fees for you brother.

Hope you make a better informed decision now

They use a 3030SMD diode.. that is a LM301 diode, bru.. who told you that it isn't a IM301? I prefer the 3000k version with no UV.. but that is just a detail.. those are nice grow lights. And good priced too 😁

    Addon

Epistar 660nm are good diodes..  work, I have em on all my boards.. I would prefer if they would add a few 720 or 730nm too.. but they will learn over time hehehe

It is very easy to say one thing and do another, and say LM301B on page and put something else...

    Called, bait and switch 😥

  9. I have 6 of the RAM fans,

Needed to remove the oscillating pin selector, to get 4 of them to oscillate properly, and then 5 or probably all 6 of them make a huge squeak on turning and if you are in the room nextdoor, you are going to hear it.

Through the tent and room door.

Other than that, 1 year in, and they are exceptional at moving air, and that is their job anyway.

  11. I'd off the top of my head, say a soil drench with Neem and then hit the room, tent, floor and possibly even the roots you can get to or see, with peroxide (soil drench too) and then follow with KHC03.

Might not be the best or even work, but what my mind is thinking without any research.
