I wouldn't worry too much about CO2 unless you're going to push your umol past 700 and do CO2 injection.

One of the pioneers in the cannabis automation industry recently launched a C02 censor to attach to their unit as an addon. Being in the heart of legal cannabis growing and having a commercial product being sold I would think this is a very important part of the concept, however I am not to sure how many people would use CO2 in South Africa.

Anybody can tell me why we suddenly have power after 12 months of load shedding more or less none stop?

I think the most reasonable answer would be the loadshedding guy is on holiday. Who the hell knows. I was wondering the other day why e dont stand up and get rebates from eskom for all this downtime. We pay R1200 just as a line fee before anything is used, with loadshedding over the course of the last several months we could be saving atleast R600 for no service, adds up to quite a bit over several months. Because we are rural and eskom does not do maintenance, as soon as wind picks up or big storms we get blackouts for sometimes up to 36 hours or more, god forbid if a transformer shorts then its atleast 36 hours. Anyway, Eskom is just another useless parastatal that does not know its ass from its elbow. I hate calling them with any questions, absolute waste of time. Sad that we have to accept this type of service, but luckily its happened for so long we have had to make other arrangements and use combinations of gas, solar, battery, invertors and fire. Check the link below on its trust rating and reviews. What pisses me off even more is their new rural consultant upgraded his Izuzu bakkie to a Toyota Fortuner in 2 months of work. I love seeing people succeed but this guy could not even pass standard 5 home economics class.

    Why the Homegrown Auto Cup?

We’re committed to providing South Africans with top-notch, locally-bred auto seeds at an affordable price. Join us in dispelling the notion that automatic seeds are solely expensive imports. Our cup celebrates the future of cannabis cultivation.

    History of Automatic Seeds:

While relatively new to the industry, breeders have been experimenting with cross-breeding automatic (ruderalis) seeds since the late 1970s. The breakthrough came with the launch of the “Lowryder” strain by the Joint Doctor, demonstrating the potential of autoflowering cannabis ruderalis hybrids.

    What are Automatic Seeds?

Automatic seeds are hybrids with ruderalis variety crossbred into them. Originating from Eastern Europe, ruderalis, named after the German word ‘ruderal,’ meaning ‘weeds growing by the roadside,’ has become a vital component in creating these hybrids.

Why Grow Automatic Seeds from Bay Seeds?

Local is lekker: Support local breeders enhancing our genetic diversity.

Year-round cultivation: These seeds flower automatically, eliminating photoperiod sensitivity.

High yield, short flowering time: Automatics yield big results when grown correctly, with a significantly shorter flowering time than other hybrids.

  4. There has been a longtime campaign against cannabis brands, its not just about sales. In the USA a couple companies have been fighting lawsuits against these crap social media companies.

Canna Cribs had their account suspended for 1 week, and they follow the community guidelines to a tee. I have tried every way possible, including speaking to some seasned social media managers to get my account back, sent template support requests. Sadly its the business of being in cannabis, all the big names clamp down on cannabis. Instagram deleted DabStars account with over a million followers a couple years ago. You must not forget evil trolls, ex girlfriends and the likes. One ex of mine blocked my account on IG, i could not use it. She called me and sat having coffee, I asked her to unblock me as I had lost a primary business of mine ( charging for IG posts ) , i literally watched the account open up again. I played her own game and banned her immediately so she could not do it again. I have lost alot of social accounts, domains , suspensions, bans in the past. You either got to work harder or smarter. I had a youtube video deleted 7 days ago and got a strike against my account. The reason was " false information". The video was of how cannabis kills cancer cells, based on scientific evidence in the description.  I was funny enough chatting to Sister Vee about this last night, after the Canna Clubs video last night. Video , 3 parts is damn interesting.

WATCH as compound in Cannabis oil THC kills cancer cells while leaving healthy cells alone Back in 1974 there was a study done from the Washington Post that stated that THC, “slowed the growth of lung cancers, breast cancers and a virus-induced leukemia in laboratory mice, and prolonged their lives by as much as 36%.” Unfortunately, nothing was ever done after that study. In 1998, a new study, by Madrid Complutense states ” THC can cause cancer cells to die, and unlike chemotherapy the THC kills nothing but the cancer cells, leaving the brain of course completely unharmed.” Watch the below video to show the affect of THC on cancer cells. http://norml.org/component/zoo/category/cannabinoids-as-cancer-hope

Twitter seems to be a great platform to market cannabis these days, hopefully the other assholes catch up soon.

Their babootie is great, but you should try their steak nights, epic, also asian nights on wednesday and sunday roasts. All great value for money. I am sure new owners will bring in a breath of fresh air to the establishment, and the current/previous owners have been wonderful for the place and  Bathurst village.

  6. Hi

A brand new video published, including an interview with Tony Kerby from JAK Importers. He has over the last 2 years spent a fair amount of time in South Africa, tasting some of our finest. He has been a judge at the East Coast Cannabis Cup for the last two years and was the main sponsor for last weeks Canna Cup. Amazing man, with so much knowledge who has developed his own brand of lights in Michigan and recently started promoting and importing here to South Africa.

The Canna Club interviewed him at the Bathurst Agricultural Show where he gives insight to the differences in the USA and South African market and his experiences in SA. Enjoy.

  7. If one reads anything about the news, corruption, we can conclude that Eskom is the cashcow for funding corruption and the "revolutionaries" lavish lifestyles. I am sorry that they are screwing the economy in its p''"s and wish one of our fake leaders had the balls to remove the well known skelms. Time to get off the grid, got two huge batteries today, and buying a new invertor on my way down to the East Coast Cannabis Cup

  8. An amazing event last night to celebrate one of our legends, Frenchy Cannoli. We took part in a day to celebrate his life and made hash for several hours, tested some amazing flower, bubble hash and concentrates in a futuristic machine, The puffco. Do yourself a favour and watch the movie on Vimeo, it was incredible, even more incredible to connect with Madame Cannoli and Mila Jansen on a livestream after the movie. Happy days gents. Ouh la la.

  9. diatomaceous earth is a beautiful resource, we use it for our dogs, chickens and soil. Its a total necessity for farming, never realised it had silica in it, thanks @The_StonedTrooper.  Ironically I used to sell it to the ladies at our local farmers coop.

How much do you add? I put malt barley as part of my top dress, but I’m thinking about doing much more.

I am starting to think, Bokashi? I attended a workshop recently, and the guys hosting it were not selling the product, just sharing the knowledge. You had to see their smiles, and their damn plants, FIRE. I think it was bran they were mixing the EM ( ? ) with, but I am sure barley. Next step is the bokashi trail and looking forward to it.

What I have learnt over the last 6 months is that plants like to grow together. If you are doing these outdoors I would do 4 plants in a 40l pot.

Ohhh, ohhh why dont you just break my mind. It makes sense what you are you saying. I might even try that.

My beans landed at lunchtime and have part of a variety I have always wanted to grow, Mazar Auto. Got gifted about 5 varieties, plus 2 packs of Think Different and white widow . So starting out with testing 3 different germination methods first.

    1. Polystyrene cup with leached freedom farms soil
    2. rockwool
    3. egg container with homemade compost

Best auto genetics you get from the US boys.. would skip the Europeans on Autos.. they missed the train for years.

I have heard that tooo many times, even on a group that would ban me if I posted anything about an Auto dutch seed or any auto seed for that matter. But its time to #thinkdifferent .

Thank you for your input @Prom, @Totemic and @SkunkPharm. Much appreciated. Updates coming, thick and fast.

Autos send out a really dominant taproot with almost no side roots for those first 3 odd weeks

I dont disagree, I was pulling out our autos root systems to see what was going on under the soil, and that is exactly what I saw. The root space is of auto is tiny, wish I had taken a picture.
