I dont disagree, I was pulling out our autos root systems to see what was going on under the soil, and that is exactly what I saw. The root space is of auto is tiny, wish I had taken a picture.

Great post, seems like we all getting hooked on these seeds. Wanted to ask, I see how you germinate several seeds in one pot. Do you see a stagnation in growth when transplanting? Do you think germinating in rockwool and then transplanting in FF soil is a good option?

A great man has fallen, Bushy Williams passed the week before last after a long battle with his illness. It was a very sad day for the rastafari community as he was a legend in the circles and worked with most of the biggest names in the industry including Tidal Waves and Lucky Dube. I will never forget meeting him around a camp fire late one night, this guy lovvvvvved cannabis and was the only reason I got involved in making music videos, mainly for him. We travelled far and wide making music, smoking weed and swopping avocados at border posts. He was the most non-judgemental person I have ever met. 

We made about 5 music videos, some lost and some floating in cyberspace somewhere. He came down to stay with me in January this year. We simply were just messing around, smoking and working in the garden. He was very sick at that time, but I said, lets make a music video. We hussled with a R500 budget, got a fairly professional crew together and skinned this video in two days, driving around my local town and putting smiles on faces. What a joy. RIP brother Bushy, "its your duty to promote cannabis". 
 

Howdy fellow growers

Needing some advice as I am getting information overload here. An opportunity has arisen to grow some dank auto's from Dutch Passion. Below is the information I have received, and it seems auto's have their own growing style. I am fairly new at auto plants, but now see their value after my first winter harvest. Information have learnt from seasoned growers. 

- top the plants for more bud sites and bigger yield
- auto's dont like nitrogen rich soil
- auto’s need about 2/3 weeks extra light time from seed to get as big as possible
- 40 litre pots are too big, 10 - 15 litre. 
- they dont like being transplanted. 

Due to the speed of lifecycle, I think anything would compromise the growth, like topping, transplanting or changing the growing medium. I am planning on sprouting the seeds in rockwool, reduce the horse manure in my soil mix e.g 1/5 horse manure, 2/5 coco perlite, 2/5 kak compost. Only going to fill 40 litre bags to the 25 litre mark. Would love any other suggestions and information you might have.

I hosted an event yesterday and was asking people how they found out about it. One ponce, who owns a cannabis shop, was there to market discounts. He claimed he did not know about the event, but in all fairness he is admitting he cannot read and trying to be clever. 

The mass action event was well attended, always could be more, so well done to the organisers, promoters and to the people who got of their lazy stoner asses, broke the stereotype and fought for the rights of all citizens. 

ANC cant organise a piss up in a shebeen, I dont think street protests, memorandums, signatures towards the ANC are an absolute waste of time, should hit them where they listen and where it hurts and it all boils down to money/tax. 

I work with pm, I dream of pm, I wake up in the am to pm. 

Airflow. PM is always around, its watching your every step, they like a vaalie cousin, always comes down to see you in time for Xmas,Summer,sea and sand. It just needs the right recipe ( RH and stale air ) and its activated. SO I think the trick is to have a couple fans, and like @The_StonedTroopersaid, make sure every leaf moves in the wind.  Pm for me usually starts on the lower leaves, so I am putting a fan on oneside below the canopy and on the other side above the canopy. That has helped for us.

Funny enough, due to PM I did this course in conjunction with two other growers this week, its helped alot in many ways. The instructor in this course has been involved in the setup of several of our local legal cannabis facilities.

Spent a bit of time last night building an event. Got our new cannabis store supporting and a local pub. No point in marching or handing over a memorandum in my neck of the woods. So decided to do something different, upgrade our weed in the area. A 2 hour meetup in the local Village Green, lucky giveaway of two clones and 10 packs of sativa dominant lemon cream kush seeds. Great to be part of this important day for our rights in conjunction with other cities and towns.

@jabulanithehutt, not much activism here I am afraid. but hells bells I will be doing something. Got pumped up last night after watching Myrtle speak on the hotbox show and said damn it, something must be done. So planning on doing something different, not going to be handing over a memorandum to a manager who wont be in his office, or piss off the powers when thousands of people dont have access to water. So decided we just going to have a " lekker jol " in our local park next to our cannabis shop, meet and greet, seed and  clone exchange and talk about the memorandum. 

Talking about that, I sat up late one night, listening to a 21 year old play doof doof for some hippies dressed and dancing like zombies till 2am waiting for you. Where were you at the GRCC? Did you make it through @SkunkPharm

Yes, I think in reality this has awoken lions and they going to fight this tooth and nail. I do know of another big drive at the high court level for cannabis that might be kicking off this month. So it might just speed things up. Interesting days ahead and see what the trail blazers do. 

First time I went snowboarding, did not know anyone, did not speak the language and did not have cash. My first "loner" snowboarding session was groovy, met up with a couple from the ski school, went down the hill slowly with them. So me and non english speaking friends watch German MTV, drank gin and smoked weed. It was an eventful night. 

Sad outcome for the Haze Club, and terrible news for our great social clubs in general. Its seems a couple Social clubs have closed doors since the outcome.

Following the Prince Constitutional Court judgment, an adult may lawfully cultivate and possess cannabis for his or her personal consumption in a private space. Mr Liddell is the director of The Haze Club and Mr Van Houten an employee. They were arrested at the business, where they grow cannabis on behalf of customers, and their plants and dried cannabis were seized.

Applicants seek a declaratory order that the grow club model, a socialised system of cannabis cultivation in terms of which the applicants rent out private space to the members by means of a sublease, wherein the members grow their own cannabis for personal consumption, is lawful and consistent with the Prince judgment. Alternatively, the applicants seek to declare certain provisions of the Drugs and Drug Trafficking Act 140 of 1992 as inconsistent with the Constitution and therefore invalid, to the extent that they criminalize the use or possession of cannabis through the grow club model.

SLINGERS J discusses the applicants’ contention that they use their horticultural skills at the business and the cannabis remains in the possession of their members; the terms and conditions of their contract with their members; the contention by the police that the grow club model falls foul of the Drugs Act and that the Prince judgment does not allow the cultivation of cannabis belonging to another; the Prince judgment and the right to privacy; that this judgment was in the context of use in a private space, while the grow club model is a socialised system of cannabis cultivation; the common areas in the business; the definition of “deal”; and the contentions on the right to freedom of trade in section 22 of the Constitution.

The applicants seek to transpose the Prince decision, which was determined within the context of personal privacy, as protected by section 14 of the Constitution, to a commercial context. The grow club model has the potential to cultivate cannabis on a large-scale and to generate huge amounts of money. In light of the shared characteristics between a dealer of cannabis and the grow club model, the limitation on the applicants right to choose a trade as a cannabis grow club or cannabis horticulturist was reasonable.The application is dismissed."

Its not about clouding judgement, and don't you worry, SJW's are hot on the heels of this topic. I had in person debate with two other growers about this, started off with have you heard about the hitler strain, I then cracked a terrible joke, ended up being a discussion about not just apartheid or Verwoed Poison, the hundreds of years Arabs, Europeans have whitewashed the African continent, not just say 40 or so years of Apartheid.

I agree about not being offended by words, no it does not offend me, however I think only a stupid human being call it hitler. Its lifespan is limited! 

Said this during my debate, why be so stupid to name one of the most persecuted beautiful  plants in the world after a old, delusional mass murderer. Cannabis has so many different names already, many creative positive attributes for naming, why name it Hitler for Jahovah's sakes.

A valid story, someone in the far East tried naming their child Saddam Hitler ( or something like that ) about 10 years ago. The birth certificate was not authorized.  It made me think, cause that is exactly what I wanted to name my child. TBH, I dont think I would be that dumb, if someone gave me a good looking seed or clone of hitler and the timing was right, I would be there like a bear.

I wont boast, but was just working with "malema" weed. As I say, there is good weed and better weed. Names are interesting things, but I would never name my son Dick or my daughter Fanny. 

Bru, sitting working with 49 amazing strains, including one local cup winner and one international cup winner. I smoked it, cause there is no bad weed, only better and betterer weed. 

Stealing a name, and turning it around is one of the best forms of propaganda. Must admit I cant stand some new names, including hitler, green crack etc. Personally I dont think cannabis should be associated to death, destruction and hate. My opinion counts for zero, but I will overlook strains with names like that or just rename them to suit me. We should name street jat weed, Malema.

Close enough, but there was not enough space for those red hairs to show, they were just layered with tricomes.  

Down in Plett this past weekend, bumped into the guy I chatted to about Hitler, not thinking anything, he said hey, smell this. i looked at some nugs peppered with trichomes, he said, well there it is, I said what, he said what you were after. He claimed it was Hitler, so the happy ending is we smoked it, and it was gooooood. The end. 

Some of my projects dont always go as planned, but still stuck on the chillie plan. Seems to be going well.
