  1. just make sure you get the right range of colour strips if thats your determination. most test strips i have seen are for pool calibration and the ph reading starts quite high... i think higher than what we want our ph at its highest. 7-14 i think the below may be a better choice https://www.takealot.com/urs-ph-0-ph-14-urine-saliva-reagent-strip-test/PLID53253511?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIp83srIG_8QIVkd_tCh00JwJZEAQYASABEgLlt_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
  2. for very accurate calibration i believe you should use them both. calibrate to the higher PH, then test in the lower PH and recalibrate, and then back to the high ph and recalibrate until you find the spot where it is accurate on both fronts. lots of rinsing needed, and lots of time. for my needs, calibrating to one or the other suffices

i used to agree with you all... plant still grows roots in preflower... extra space is indeed beneficial going into flower... but then i checked my root balls after harvest, and the transplant i did a week before the flip, the coco was not even 20% as dense with roots as the rest of the pot which had more time to develop. so as much as saying the one you potted up out grew the rest that werent potted up...thats just logical... but if that same plant was in the larger pot from the beginning or had more time to veg and get its roots bigger and fill the new space better... you would have had an even greater harvest come harvest time not sure how you flipped an auto tho hehe, but i get your argument - more root space is always beneficial for flowering plants, but more root space for longer generally means more roots with my last harvest in the tote, i literally had a 70l root ball, there was no un explored coco, i had to break that shit up with a bread knife. bigger roots = bigger fruits
  6. and then we gonna have no chance!!! i really need to get me some automatic watering. the results from just that change make me wonder why so few peeps are using it!! bru, your plants are growing so damn fast, the new growth colour is more dominant than the old growth green. ultra impressed. when soil is done right, very little can touch it
  7. 100% not disputing that there are much better pens out there LOL and 100% agreeing that i may be pretty lucky hahaha the only thing that pisses me of about it is me..because 1 out of ten times, im gonna forget to turn the thing off and then i have to go buy some more fucken batteries haha

@GGG please update your diary before midnight tonight to avoid a 2nd warning. 1st warning
  9. i must be honest ... i have only had access to the yellow cheapies, and i dono if i maybe got a sweet one... but i check calibration every month with a ph calibration fluid with a ph of 7.01 , and every time i dip my pen into the liquid, it goes straight to 7.0 every time... i havent had to calibrate it in months because its just not losing calibration the air bubble is normal... i do not think i have ever seen a pen without an air bubble.. you do need to care for the probe though as it will eventually break. i rinse the probe off under tap water for a few seconds and replace the cap. you do get a special fluid that is supposed to prolong the life of your pen, but i havent gotten around to using any and so far so good... not ideal i know, but so far so good after 2 years.
  10. I have found rain water is pretty constantly ultra low in ppm... Under 20 ppm... An ec meter will read 0.01 or something... But yea, I try test everything I feed my plants so I can sorta keep track

What's crackalacking fam! I have a few updates for you all. With just a handful of days to go before the flip, I have cleaned up the plants and taken Off most fan leaves. The remaining leaves will really take off and set the scene for flowering. Stakes and trellis will be added to support and guide the stems to success and bountiful harvests with fat unwavering dongs I enjoyed @iGrowDagga post with the ruler for reference and decided to include some of my own ruler for reference pics 5 more sleeps guys
  13. Bos? lol like mad? madness? crazyness? my afrikaans cannot like to be strong wif the reading
  14. I don't think a flush is at all necessary... Just correct your feeds and it will come right. Rain water should be fine... Although I have had some pretty acidic rain water before so you will still need to check what's the pH and shit.
  15. why are all your leaves looking so twisted? almost as if the leaves are fighting for space to grow. i would defol and free up some space for those ladies man
  16. yea man they are coming along now!

@Prom, just checking with you, but i generally would not pot up if i have already flipped to flower as the roots will not fill up the new medium you added. i have found this lead to issues with my ladies with the pot staying too wet due to the lack of root system to pull the water up. still amped to see how your ladies cruise through flower hehe, you are gonna give us all some valuable hints on how they gonna flower out
  19. and say whats up to Jessie and tell her woody is on his way (Toy story reference)
  20. whats up Andy! i replied to your other post now now about the lights and stuff... its not looking so great for you bud. BUT! stick around and you will get the right help to lead you to a success. i wouldnt be too worried about the smell of one plant, unless your land lord lives with you in the same cupboard you wanna grow in lol - also, it is legal to grow in your apartment, unless your landlord has specifically said that you may not grow weed in the lease or in writing. so i wouldnt worry so much about the smell. i would go for a 15-20l pot size for the plant. you do definately need fresh air movement in the space... but for veg you can keep the door open all the time if you want. but in flower you will need the door to remain shut and make sure no light gets into the cupboard when its lights out... or yields will suffer. get yourself a timer for sure... not a cheap pool one either... it will need to be one that keeps its settings when the power goes out
  21. Hi @Newbie1011, lots of questions for you too!! that space is really tiny, and only one plant will fit in there. but thats what you are aiming for so all good. any link to the lights? 100w in that space isnt the worst i have seen.. but its also not near the median mark as far as lighting is concerned. you will need better lights for better results. one plant will fit fine, but at a max of 90cm including the pot, you will be exceptionally lucky if you pull 50g every 5 months with your Mol readings, not sure how you took them? but with those reading, you might be able to get away with vegging the plants at 30cm... and you will not have enough light for flower... you will need to triple the light output for decent flower results @Prom
  22. you can also try some other browsers that should also work well. Opera mini, Firefox, to name two
  23. Clear his cache, update Safari, restart his Mac, these are also suggestions that should ease the situation
  24. yea i know the issue he is using a Macbook made by apple HAHAHAHA LOL but for real... if his Safari browser isnt working, he should try a different browser and that will 9/10 work
