  1. @Pants its still so small and a bit screwd I dont think ill even have to tbh.

Its about 2 - 3 weeks behind I would say in growth , kinda just keeping it to see the mini buds.

I did top all of my other plants some above the 5th and some above the 6th node to see how they behave.

  2. Moved the blurple light to my cupboard , around a 80w light from my research ( was sold as a 300w but yeah ).

Was in the tent originally but with the floodlight I figured having the LED in the cupboard for less heat is better.

Got 3 bag seeds and a small auto in the back . The one other auto didnt make it. Since it was free seeds I dont really mind.

Will be staying away from autos for now as I feel there is to little margin for error.

Having screwed my plants in the first 2 weeks to where they are now , autos simply would have just been a fail , photos I could atleast try save. With the auto being a bit fooked I would be surprised if it gives me 10g's

  3. Quick update , Been a bit busy.

Ladies are looking lovely in my opinion .Can see the different quality in genetics from the thicker leaves on the putins punch and more leafy leaves ( if that makes sense ) on the outdoor seeds.

Got 4 smaller ones under the blurple light in the small grow area.

This floodlight is really really good and the plants seems to be loving it.

I guess that counts, you going for better spread/coverage?

You gona mount them on a frame to move up and down or hang them singular?

Having them on a frame will reduce the workload when raising/lowering the lights.

Dont wanna keep hogging the thread :P but was thinking 1 rope ratchet each so that they can be moved up and down on their own to optimise spread and coverage.

Yes, 3 of those 50w's seem more appropriate, but then why not just go for the 150w for R390?3 x the 50w will set you back R570. +/- R180 difference.

To not have them as a single unit.

3 points of light > 1 point of light I would say.

  6. Quick update , been feeding the coco plants with EHG nuts ( 2,5ml of each on 10l water ) and the soil bagseeds I am just watering.

Since I planted the putins in the cell pots and then into the big pots and with the feeding they are going strong.

Converted a bunch of old 140mm fans , a PSU and a bunch of L brackets into a airflow monster.

Got a bit more space now since there is no more fan taking space.

  7. Hey guys .

So I figured ill move this from the new user thread and make a proper thread for the grow.

This is how it all started . Planted 2 putins punch seeds directly from germination into the big pots . They got stunted pretty hard and barely grew for the 2 weeks . Bag seeds havent even broken ground yet at this point.

As for the indoor tent setup where the putins were growing , light was not the best after downloading a lux meter ( yes I know not the right spectrum but gives you a rough idea ) . Light intensity was way down and got we worried.

@CoolJ To the rescue . I asked if I could buy the cobs he ordered from aliexpress and he opted to give them to me . Baring in mind I splurged quite a bit on the setup this month it was a blessing . Thanx dude :D .

On to after these pictures ....

Here we are today . I took a chance and replanted the putins seeds into smaller pots .... Way smaller pots .Did some research after @Ill_Evan advice and I figured ill take a chance and see. They seem to be reacting well since over watering is no longer a problem and I feel the plant should develop a bit better in this . I was being as careful as I can not to disturb the roots and to be honest there wasnt even much root growth . Lesson learned . Photos small pots first . I hope these make it otherwise ill take it as a lesson and plant some more .

As for the lighting situation . I am lucky to be in IT so I have access to a few extra parts . I present frankenlights. CPU cooler with some good thermal paste and a 12v fan . They run pretty cool for 16h on 8h off. Gonna run them for another week or so until I can build them into a proper frame and redo the wiring neatly. They do pump out a hella lot of light and it seems they are 3500k lights ( correct me if im wrong here , my chinglish is not the best )

Lastly just a big thanx to the community for being so welcoming and for the guidance . You guys are the best :D

  8. Thank you @Ill_Evan . I started my bag seeds in my small pots before I got the putins seeds . Only had the big pots to go with and my excitement got the best of me.

I wanted to keep a bit of extra space to tie the branches down later when I train but I will keep that in mind for the next run thank you 🙂 .

  9. Thank you for the warm welcome @Newbie_2020 @CreX @Bakstein420 @SkunkPharm

Here is my grow tent . Its only 80x80x160 since I stay in a second floor flat and space is limited.

I have converted 2 spare storage cupboards into propagation / early veg rooms ( Its easier for me to control the temp in one room early on ) I can keep my cupboard above 20 at all times since its in my room with my PC and a small heater. In my mind this will allow the smaller plants to thrive a bit better. Rest of my flat ( where the tent is ) can go down to 16 on a cold night so its not to bad. I just figured if not why not.

Once the 3 seedlings are a bit bigger ill move the other CFL light to the other side so the light is a bit more concentrated . ( I know these lights wont grow the plants big )

All the plants in my cupboard is bag seeds so they will probably move to the outside balcony area if they are females . Will be adding some herbs outside to lower suspicion to a point.

I am running 2 putins punch seeds in the tent and they are about a 5 days old ( will send some pics later ).

Soil im using coco and perlite as my base ( Added some 2:3:2 all purpose in the groun when mixing just to let it set , should be good for the first 4 weeks or so ? Need to do a bit more reading before the firs 4 weeks regarding nutes . Gonna probably just get the GHP soft water 3 pack . To my noob knowledge it covers all bases.

Using rain water at the moment to water the plants as im waiting on my PH pen. Gonna grab a swimming pool PH tester kit this afternoon just to last me till I get the PH pen.

Overall looking to grow 2 in the tent and 2 - 3 small plants on the stoep

  10. Hey guys

awildmeme here :) Hope to share some knowledge and grow the dankest of dank.

    Based in beautiful Cape Town.

Ended up here being refered from Carbonite's growers thread ( PC forum not the best for discussing home grows ) . Currently doing my 1st grow . Did go balls deep with the tent and all and already busy converting my extra cupboard into a veg/propagation area.

The bug has bitten and I hope to be here for a while with you guys.
