  1. Quick update - pics taken 21 March - Week 4 Day 2 The Blue Dream stretched a bit more than I would've liked. With a 400w bulb Ideally I'd want a flat low canopy but that's gone out the window now. Otherwise everything still on track

  2. Welcome along to my back yard bucket grow. Please pull up a deck chair and park off here, a while. This lovely girl is a blueberry from Dutch Passion. She smells like a mix of blackberry jam and shortbread and should be ready in a couple of weeks time. This ugly ducling turned into a beauty. The seedlings were all deformed and took a long while to get going, the growth is spindly and she has to be supported as the branches will hang down like an octopus. I must veg her for 6 weeks and no stress is imperitive, otherwise she can herm easily. She's a pain to grow, but the high is worth the effort. Just opening the jar makes me grin. She has burned in the wind and hosted her fair share of mites, but is still putting on some decent weight. She's my kind of girl.

  3. Whats up guys! I have relatively limited experience with growing cannabis although i am a qualified horticulturist but work in finance now lol. I have grown two seasons worth of outdoor, this previous harvest was a big learning curve. Nonetheless i decided to buy a indoor mars tent and light combo to keep me busy during quaranteen lol. Very keen to learn more and more, what a great part of life growing plants are! Good to be part of a local ganja forum! Jah maaan see you around the forum ladies and gents!

  4. Took a quick pic this morning. Girls are doing well, most are in flower- various stages. But I'm not without issues. Still battling the Fusaria fungal problem, it's only affecting certain plants, only 3 so far. Might have been a bad batch of soil from the nursery, I dont know. The cinnamon and honey mix seems to check it for about a week and then it carries on, starving branches of nutes untill it wilts completely. The clove and nicotine sprays keep the worms and spidermites in check but those mites are hardy buggers and keep coming back. Need more companion plants to keep them busy. Funny enough my outdoor ladies are experiencing far less issues than in the greenhouse/tunnel. First Fruitpunch babies have germed for the start of the winter grow. Stay safe and grow well. 6. I was in there like Flinn. They were off loading a truck full of double grow, when i went past there this morning. I grabbed 12 bags of compost and 8 more sacks of potting soil. I spent over a grand there yesterday and they've had another R240 from me this morning. This is how i control the dreaded thrips and fungus gnats. SPINOSAD drench on the larvae and Tannie Margaret spray for the flies.

  7. @Totemic is bringing out fem seeds now. Not available on the 420SA store but available on Cannabist. Here's the link https://www.cannabist.co.za/breeder/totemic-genetics/ Also maybe contact him directly on here

  8. I like the names already from your seeds.. ever thought to go a step ahead and go colloidal silver to do fem seeds.. and then.. the last step and cross with ruderalis to get a auto? (No problem to get silver coins, so very easy to get the colloidal silver solution) Would have zero issues to fork you out 1000 Rand for 10 seeds.. if the genetic are as delicious as they sound.. 1500 also zero issue.

  9. Personally I think the move to shutdown was a good one and perhaps the only option right now. Especially for a country like ours. We have a huge portion of the population that relies on public transport and that public transport involves people essentially sitting on top of each other. Then as you say Prom, so many have compromised immune systems in this country. Our health system can't cope as it is so we would be desperately fucked if this virus took hold like it has in Italy. Granted Italy has a high number of elderly citizens but our HIV and TB issue could be a far more detrimental factor than just old age. I have my reservations about how this pandemic may have come about. The possibility of a natural cause or malicious intent bounces back and forth in my mind. Some things to read up on and make you wonder a little - http://www.centerforhealthsecurity.org/event201/ - this event took place in October 2019, a month before the apparent origin of the virus in November 2019. https://www.businessinsider.co.za/chinese-official-says-us-army-maybe-brought-coronavirus-to-wuhan-2020-3?r=US&IR=T - The US Military was in Wuhan in October 2019 for the "Military World Games" Coincidence? Who knows...

  10. Hi guys and gals.. wanted to say Hi and present myself. No South African, just here since 2001.. here = CT Had my first joint 34 years ago, planted my first seeds 32 years ago and ran my first indoor setup 26 years ago. Love weed.. can't deny it.. Uhh and I am a non-alcoholic.. for me is just weed, nothing else I have 3 tents: 2.4x2.4 4/20 lights (vegetative section runs over 12v battery inverter, Mars 144 Veg setting, one 100Ah battery runs one 144 3.5 hours, Eskom) 1.2x1.2 12/12 lights 1.2x60 dry tent with AC inside, 18C, 50% Using Mars lights (TS-3000(3) and 144(2)) If I have to describe me in 3 words: Quality over Quantity My preferred smoke: GSC Total Autoflower fanatic.. only do feminized, when the strain has no Auto version yet. But you can't beat potency of a Auto, pumping 20 hours (or more) of energy inside is a huge difference. I grow hydro (rock wool) or Soil (Freedom Farms, green bag), never done coco ^^ a bit the opinion.. you want it easy, you go soil, you don't have the balls to go hydro, you go coco Happy growing

  11. I should say.. from my opinion and growing experiences, i call myself a intermediate grower. I live at a really windy spot.. good to have no issue with spider mites, but still, not helping with keeping things on the plant I pull my hat in front any hobby grower reaching 30% with outdoor.. i fail miserably with outdoor. looks nice but never reaches my indoor potency. Strangely I also have way less hassle to determine when to harvest indoor. Also a short note to the hydro tent.. my better half send me shopping before I finished ^^ Not that you think I am a god walking among mortals. The system isn't perfect yet and I blew 42 pristine seeds on the software so far but standing at 42 dead plants since December.. so fingers crossed, I have a working setup by April. Last time I was at Brackenfell, Hydroponics, had a chat with the guys, they would even consider to offer it, once it runs smooth. As mentioned, Post Office is driving me nuts have a order i made in October and still wait for for my new set of measuring pumps. They should finalize my mixing tank and give the exact amounts I need. So that tent is not listed.. as is more killing things right now hehehe The battery backup runs smooth since beginning of January. Can really recommend that and the cost.. if you need the light, yes, bit harsher ^^ but battery and inverter are 3000 Rand.. a batch of new seeds ^^ really worth it. With the Mars 144 you still have the option to run it flowering mode too and use the space till the end. So for tents 1.2x0.6 to 1.2x1.2 (2 lights), they are a great choice (in regards to eskom). Flowering stage, I prefer full spectrum boards. Something else I forgot to mention in regards to Eskom.. you actually do not need a grow light to cheat the light receptors on your plant and keep the inner clock. You get those battery driven LED lamps at PnP, bulky little blocks. you can plug them into the power socket and they go automatically on, if the plug has no power anymore. 2 of those per 1.2x1.2 area, fix installed pointing down, should keep your plants inner light circle on! I just had the stuff anyhow to run the veg light as usual. But just enough light inside your tent should work. If your wallet doesn't has the load.. that is the cheapest option to show Eskom the finger.. and they activate without any switching by them self. Plants will just not grow during that time. So.. enough typing ^^ time to pamper the babies Pic of one of my out door plants from last year.. looked good.. was okisch to smoke (Jack Herer)
