Hi Boys and Girls :)

Time for an update although I must say it's not the most interesting one. I was at day 28 of flowering on Friday and snapped these pics.

Buds are still going ok, they could be bigger but as mentioned before that little heat wave they experienced definitely affected them. Nonetheless I should pull some decent bud off of them. Some handled the heat way better and they are really starting to smell nice with a lot of frosting around the buds. The others that didn't cope well have formed buds but they are very hard.. almost like peas and they aren't getting sticky or smelly at all. I'm about half way so I'm hoping they improve.

I noticed some slight yellowing on the plants so I have fed them with a half strength dose of bio grow and will give them a bit more tonight. I chose the bio grow over the bio bloom as it seems it is the nitrogen they are lacking.

I have also had to prop them up with bamboo sticks.... not ideal as I had to slide the sticks in and probably did a bit of root damage. This is also due to the heat as they got too lanky and the stems just can't support them so they started tipping over. Next grow I'm actually just putting bamboo supports in the pots from the get go and if I need them they are there if not they can just stay there. At least then I won't damage any roots trying to do a quick fix later on.

Temps in my grow room are waaayyy better at the moment, the cooler weather is mainly to thank for that, it's been sitting at about 26.5'C in there with lights on which is great for me. Pity I couldn't have kept them down from the start.

Anyway chat again in a week!

PS: I have got some seriously cool strains vegging at the moment and they are killing it, will be starting that grow log in the next 2 weeks and they will be put into flower as soon as this lot finishes up mid May.

Hey guys

Week 5 into the grow and things are picking up, I've noticed a big improvement in bud size over the last week and the aroma is getting really potent now. My wife keeps moaning at me cos I come out of my grow room smelling like a plant every evening. I wait until 8pm and go in literally as lights come on haha!

Plants are still yellowing quite a bit so I have pushed up the nitrogen more, I'll need to start flushing in the next week or 2 so but going to push the nitrogen up one more time until flushing starts. So far no burning at all, I do use organic nutes only though.

Cheers for now!

Thanks guys!

Reaf, funny you should say that... it's all I've been using. Has worked well for me in organic soil. At the moment I'm using 2ml Bio grow per Liter and 1ml Bio Bloom per Liter. Going to push it up to 2.5ml grow and 1.5ml bloom p/liter when I water tomorrow.

Gareth A.K.A Basil of Bothasig.. see you soon bud haha!

It's awesome stuff. I think your ratio is a bit of with the nutes. I am not saying what I do is the only way I just like to share my experiences and ypu can take it from there.

My soil is a fairly rich mix so I like to start of the first 2 weeks of flower with a 1g and 1f per litre (grow and flower) at three weeks in I will up the flower to 1g 2f per litre , week 4 1g 3f per litre and week 5 and 6 1g 4f per litre.

As I said my Base is good so I don't need to be adding much grow. Some plants are naturally  more hungry so I will up there grow a bit.

To date I haven't seen and burn on any strains at those ratios.

Cheers

Reaf

Hey Guys

Week 6 ended on Friday and all is well. Hoping to harvest a couple of the girls in 2 weeks but will keep an eye on them.

I took Green Leaf's advice and pushed the Bio Bloom ratio up while keeping the grow the same. This stuff is really good, not the cheapest but it never burns.

Looks like I should get a decent yield, not quite as big as I hoped due to the heat stress they suffered early on, the buds haven't gotten as big as they could have and I don't think they are as sticky as they could be for these strains but perhaps they will surprise me in the next 2 weeks.

Week 7 update... I can feel my fingers itching to harvest! Some of the Kaas will come down at 56 days depending on how they look under the microscope but I'd say they are almost ready. The others I think I may leave to about 9 weeks.

Unfortunately you can't see it in the pics but the plants are as yellow as bananas.. probably because the last watering was just a fresh water flush.

They smell amazing though and I'm happy with the buds! Will post some final pics once I harvest.
