  1. I have the freedom farms fabric bags. They cool. But water easily finds its was out the sides when watering.

Also in terms of pot size. The autos will reach a max of 1m in height (provided they are grown absolutly perfectly. Correct lights. Correct light height. Correct light schedule. Perfect nuetz feeds. Etc) as someone starting out and still learning abit. U probably dont have to stress too much on the 1m max height.

Also the bigger pots u get. The more soil u will need per grow.

Autos almost always go for alot less time then the photoperiod plants. Which means less time for roots to fill the pots.

All that said. I think a 10 liter pot would work well.

    Just my opinion and experience.

When I went there last they did say that they were going to start stocking seeds bro.

But if you want now, you could pay them a visit and pick up 2 regular seeds for free!

I'd appreciate if you told them that TheUltimateNoob from 420sa sent you over with the recommendation... I'm trying to build a relationship with that store.

    Another annoying reminder...

They have only given a month of reviewing public responses, so this will come to an end on the 9th of Oct. Please I urge you to go to the link and complete the survey.

It may seem like this does not apply to you, but I submit to you, being on this forum alone is more than enough reason to react change in everybody's mind regarding our humble plant. You see this biggest issue regarding the draft bill is the criminalization aspect. Cigarettes and alcohol have no limitations in households whatsoever, and I'm sure we can all attribute more than enough crime, domestic violence, hurt, pain and abuse of all kinds to such. You may be happy and not concerned about what how our government wants to control our privacy, but again,  please take a closer look and see what the implications are.

I think we all know what is right and would not back something immoral. So if you feel maybe cannabis has not served you well in the past, and it needs to be held as high as opioids in terms of regulation, then YES lets keep the bill and demonize everything cannabis yet again.

The highlight for me definitely has to be the tools being used to get the message across about this "DEMON PLANT"! The kids! We need to make sure the kids are safe! you know these pot heads haven't a clue about raising it kids it seems. Sad how perverse and twisted this world is getting. If its ignorance, then I understand and I can sympathize, but anterior motives...

On a lighter note have a giggle at this retard slandering the name of DAGGGAAAA all over the place...

If you have not seen this, enjoy... also this little girl is apparently apart of a children's shelter affiliated to Kwasizabantu mission church... Why so much hate for Dagga???

How the fuck do they let an ignorant dumbass like that represent them on national TV

Out of those 4, only 2 are really vital as far as I am concerned and if someone is on a budget.

Fishmix or Grow (don't need both)

    Bloom

Topmax seems to just be humic & fulvic acids - you can get these pretty cheaply at a few places. Organics Matter sell it, I got some from them a while back. It will last forever!

You can get by 100% with just FIsh mix and Bloom, although if you'd prefer you can get Grow and Bloom, grow can be used during flower a bit but I do not see why you'd want to do that, especially in soil. Fish mix I believe is a bit better for veg though.

If it were me and based on my previous experience, I would get fish mix & bloom only. leave out the Grow and source humic & fulvic acids elsewhere if you want to use them.

Getting the range from the sane product line helps when feeding. As u can follow a dedicated table.

I personally only have grow. Bloom and topmax. I use  seagrow as a substitute for the fish mix.

@Prom highly reccomends the 4 biobizz products mentioned above.

But as @PsyCLown mentioned u can get away with less and cheaper options.

Definitely the plan long term. For now cheap is more important.

Thinking going Premium for now will buy me time to save for pens and such

    What up bud.

So easiest would be soil. As it doesnt require alot of precision in terms of ph and feeding . Etc.

The freedom farms premium clasic soil (green bag) is the shit. Everywhere i go. People have positive things to say about it.

Biobizz is also a topshelf product. But that comes with price. They also have a large full range. But i think the 4 important nutez woukd be

    Fishmix

    Grow

    Bloom

    Topmax

I would also reccomend fabric pots. Works well.

All said and done. Should be a good recipe for success.

    Grow Diary Update:

Cocopopo Auto & Gelato Samba Auto (Bulk seed bank) - day 85

The Gelato Samba buds are appear to be much smaller and skinnier. Not sure if I messed up or if it's just the genetics. Should be a bit happier now under the new light.

What new light are u packing bro?

Also. Roughly how tall would u say they are?

I didn't even know that this was a thing. Autos not auto'ing.

36 hours of darkness pre harvest? Some do 48 hours. I've only ever tried 24, granted I've only had 2 grows so far.

12 hours dark/12 hours light to induce flowering.

No no. Not talking about pre harvest. I want to force the plant into flower to check if it actually is a photoperiod plant or if she is just stunted.

So im thinking if i put her into 36 hours of darkness. I should be able to tell if shes a photoperiod if pistils start appearing. If not then i know she is just stunted.

If it is a photoperiod. I will reveg it for a few more weeks and check if i can get her growing bigger.

it would be wise to have one or 2 for this purpose, if you have the cash, then yea why not... but i wouldn't call it essential to have one in every jar.

once the RH stabilizes at the preferred RH, no more burping is required and you can trust that the bovida will do the rest.

as for different strains, not really. i think i know what you are asking and i dont think so. RH is just the count of moisture, it has no effect on the flavour of the bud or the high.

I supose density of the buds comes into play here.

    Sort of with this one...

If you harvest and dry and jar the weed and the RH goes up to 70+, your bovida might battle to absorb all the excess moisture. So burping is essential, even with bovidas for the first week of cure at least.

Get some small RH meters that can fit in the jar to make sure the bovidas are holding the RH where it is supposed to be

What up bro. So im assuming with large harvests then its probably esential to monitor RH. But with a small harvest it should be an issue?

Would it be essential to have a RH meter in every jar or would one be enough to give you a good idea of what the general RH is in the jars?

Does different strains have different effects to this as well, either increasing or decreasing the overall RH?

If its the same strain. Harvested at the same time. With the same amount inside. Then 1 meter should be ok for all jars. If its different then maybe another meter.

I dont see why LST would delay flowering, perhaps this one skipped the auto gene.

You can try giving her 12 hours darkness to see if that induces flowering.

U giving me more work @Bakstein420

i hope thats not the case.

Coz i main reason i went for autos is that i dont need to fiddle with light cycles. Just let them go.

Is this gene issue u speak of a common issue bro?

    Or is it very rare?

This is interesting to read, thank you for sharing from all your experiences 🙂

I havent really thought much about what I am going to do once I get to Harvest and Curing.

So would you guys use 1 of these packs in a large zip-lock bag or a glass jar?

Then stash the bag or jar in a cupboard and then keep grabbing a bud or 2 from there whenever you keen to smoke?

Assuming this is after the initial curing stage and how you would be storing your buds for the weeks/months ahead?

I just want to weigh in with some of my own experience.

    Boveda packs are the shit.

    I have the 58 and the 62.

I use them in glass jars.

Cured weed. I use 58 and for curing and storage i use the 62.

I put my dried harvest into jars on sunday with the 62 and into a dark draw.

(The weed was extremely dry) this morning i did a quick check. And the buds are so much more hydrated and feels alot better.

Also with the bovedas and the glass jars. Theres no need to burp or monitor. Just pot them in and leave them alone.

  13. What up 420 Fam.

I need some GUIDANCE and ADVICE here.

So i have started 3 autos around the same time.

Out of the 3. I did some LST on 1.

Growth and growing was good and was going well.

But about a week ago. The other 2 autos with no training started flowering.

The LST auto i assumed would go into preflower a few days after due to the LST stress.

However it has been over a week now. And still no pre-flowers.

    The plant is probably stunted.

    Pic 1. No training auto

    Pic 2. LST auto

The only considerable difference between the entire grow. Was the LST. Everything else is identical.

What can i do or do i do in this situation?

How to i get the plant to take off again?

    I am on week 6

My first three plants are coming along well at the end of their second week. I am busy brewing the LABs and ordering buckets etc. Does anyone know where I can get 20 or 25 litre black buckets with lids in Cape Town that don't cost an arm and a leg? I am likely going to order from Jhb and ship because it appears that Jhb has more competitive prices. I'm making a banana tea for flower, and will feed with an SST kelp blend for veg. I'm getting excited to try all these yummy organics and see what results I get. The sun was out for a few days... nice.

What up man. For the buckets i would suggest a place like westpack or some sort of large plastic store.
