  1. I see a lot of horror stories starting with "I went away for the weekend", so naturally I was rather worried about my ladies while away for 4 days. I had a friend go through and give them some water as I figured they'd be dry by day 3. I came back to the plants all overlapping each other, had a growth spurt of note! So it was time to get my 2nd light going and time to spread them a part a bit. Tonight I'll start with some LST before topping
  2. Damn, this shit is pricey! You say that Amino Boost will do the job. Think I'll go that route for now
  3. Ah man! This is some great feedback, exactly what I needed. Thank you for taking the time to type this out, @Prom I'll go find me some of that BioHeaven!

    EXTREME SPORTS

I joined a MMA gym a few years ago, and the conditioning was by far the worst of it. Coach would line the whole gym up in front of you and have each one of them kick and punch you to build your core and legs. I would go home looking like I was beat up after every practice. Cut lips, bruised legs and body pains for days at a time. I gave it up as it made me a generally agro person, which was the opposite of what I planned to achieve there. Good memories though!
  5. This is quite crazy, seems someone got their fingers in the right pie sitting at a table with the right people. R30/g "Wholesale" price is shocking, these guys are going to make an absolute killing! I worry that these big corporations are going to make it impossible for us small guys to get in on the business once it's all legal. They're being given opportunities that others are still being arrested for, and the only reason I can think of that happening is because someones pockets are being filled with cash. This is great news, and I hope to not come across as a serious downer, but this does make me worry a little. I don't know, is it just me?
  6. I'm so happy with the progress these plants have made, looking mighty fine and getting a bit bushy now. This leads me to some questions I hope you guys are able to give your input on. I've got 11lt pots these guys need to move in to. When should I consider doing the move? and then with regards to some LST, should I begin doing that now in these pots or is that something I should only start when they're in their final pots? Topping these plants is also something I'd like some advice on, from what I've read and seen they're getting close to where it's suggested to do this. Lastly I've got a question for the BioBizz man @Prom, these guys are getting thirsty, needing another watering tonight. Do I feed another 2ml/ltr of BioGrow? Should I be giving them this every watering now? Should I be giving them anything else at this point? Thanks in advance, happy Wednesday all!
  7. My 3 main ladies are looking rather happy in their new homes. My bag seeds are pushing through, I thought I was going to lose 1 as I watched pieces of the leaves literally burn away (I didn't change their soil, thought I'd see what happens to them). Is it safe to assume that original soil was hot?? Anyway, 1 of 3 DS seeds clearly wasn't doing as well as the others but looking better each and every day. I bet you'll immediately be able to point that one out . I gave my first dose of BioGrow, 2ml/lt of PH'd water. Water was brought down to 5.8 this time around. Leaves have become darker so I believe all is well so far.
  8. That would be cool, man! Thanks! We certainly did miss our calling last year I agree! Video they have up of 2019 looks super cool, hopefully I'll catch you there!
  9. Snap! Also far too new to be entering anything . Could be a fun day out though. Would be cool to meet up with some 420SA members, thought this would be a good place to do exactly that. @CreX, do you know anything about this? Would you be interested in going?
  10. Found this posted in a Facebook group this evening. Anyone here planning on going? Anyone manage to enter?
  11. @The Grass Baas Ah! 2010 was my first Oppi, went up until 2015. Would have loved to see Blindside live, really good band! Good one for a Sunday
  12. @The Grass Baas Ahh! So good to see a man of culture within this group! Don't suppose you were at the Oppi Koppi where Newtown Knife gang (basically the old 16 Stitch) played a cover of Fallout? They had Brandon Pratt from Red Helen join them for the song. It was amazing, the 5 years I went to Oppi were some of the greatest times of my life!
  13. @The Grass Baas, 2 of my favourite South African bands:
  14. @The Grass Baas, I absolutely love Parkway's older stuff. After their 2010 album I lost interest. They changed Metalcore is always my sub-genre of choice. The Deathcore stuff of late has been great though, not surprised at all by it being too much for most .
  15. So cool to go through all of this, I'm a serious music lover who dabbles in a few instruments. My music taste stretches seriously far, but since there is a real lack of Metal on this thread I'm adding to it with something a little new that blew my mind. (For those not interested in listening to it's entirety, just skip to 05:00 and listen to the last minute )
  16. @Prom, @The_StonedTrooper, @GGG, @Pants, @donnob Thanks for the comments guys, definitely been an exciting 2 days now. All 3 looking pretty good, only the 1 with some pretty sad looking first leaves. I'm wondering if the Evironoc did that to them, possibly got some on the leaves while watering. I don't know. New growth looks healthy so I'm not concerned about it any more. Here's to a new week!
  17. If there's a limit on how much 1 should post here, admin, please let me know. But I'm so happy seeing this little one in all its glory this afternoon
  18. I'm honestly done with grow shops and their sales talk ... I asked about PH while there yesterday and the same dude as well as another customer in the shop told me to PH at 6.5. Then told me I should never go below 6.3 or above 6.7. The guy that convinced me to go for the 420 mix was also at a grow shop. A different shop. Also had a guy tell me he's not going to talk to me because I know too much, this while asking him questions clearly confused. He went on to help other customers . The 1 shop I had a good experience in was the shop I walked in, made a purchase and left. 1/4. So, no, I used ph down to get it to 6.5 and watered with that. How would you suggest I do the next watering? Drop straight down to 5.6/5.7? Some great info here. Thank you!
  19. I decided to go ahead with the repot. I started with the first 1 and to my surprise I saw what I'd describe as healthy ass roots. I left the pots quite dry on top to get rid of some of the other soil and popped them straight in to the FF. From the varying comments I imagine some will say I should have done it differently, others will say I did the right thing. The longer I'm a part of this awesome community the more I realize that although there is a definite science behind it, with loads of particulars, there are plenty ways to skin this cat. I'm here to learn and if my plants die I've got the seeds to start again, I'm learning and enjoying it. Thanks to all who have shared their wisdom thus far. I truly appreciate it.
  20. The rain water is a solid negative. Don't have that available to me. I was told to PH my water at 6.5 (?). It's either that or my 8.3 ph tap water unfortunately. I got some slightly bigger pots, I'll get on it tonight and hope for the best. Thanks guys.
  21. My soil PH meter definitely isn't indicating that it's low. Checked all pots last night and they all seem to be on the high side of 6 ph?
  22. They seem to be looking a tiny bit better today, in my unprofessional opinion. Do I transplant or flush and wait it out?
  23. It is Environoc 401, sorry. The Environoc was suggested by the guy I bought all the equipment from. He used and praised the stuff. I went and bought some FF and the guy there said he thinks they're hungry. The opposites in opinion are super confusing
  24. Damn, the response here is almost overwhelming and has me fearing the situation here is worse than I actually thought . Excuse this lengthy response as I try respond to everything here. So I haven't done anything yet as the soil was still quite moist from their last watering. Only 2 things I've changed is raising them off the ground and I've given them 1 spray of Epsom salts (1tsp/1lt). I haven't added any more Evironoc and I haven't begun with any of my BioBizz nutrients. I don't currently have other pots or soil but if you guys think I need to take action immediately I'll go pick some up after work and begin the process. I hope my answers below will help advise me on the exact process to follow. Root damage sounds like fun! Shit! So my tap water seems to be coming out the same as yours as per my PH Meter. Between 8 and 9 ph. I have water in a big bottle I fill up and leave standing for 24 hrs minimum before pouring some in a bucket and adding PH Down to get it around 6-7. I use water from said bucket and repeat the process every watering. As for drainage, even when watered to run off it seems to be about 3 days until top layer is completely dry, Monday I watered, this morning there was still moisture close to the surface but dry top soil. My plan was to check moisture again tonight and possibly beggining the flushing process suggested yesterday. I found some mycoroot in my box of goodies, so that's definitely an option. Yo dude! Last I checked there were roots peeping out the bottom, this was last week already. Thoughts? Hey Prom! I have not feed them anything over the last week. Only that 1ml/ltr of Environoc since the start. I have not flushed. Look forward to your response. Noted! Thank you.
  25. Okay cool. I plan to flower in the 11ltr pots so maybe some slightly bigger pots is the better option. Thanks for the shared wisdom, I was so happy with their progress and this is just such a bummer now haha. I didn't expect a perfect first grow, so it's okay I guess. I'll do the flush tomorrow or the day after, once pots have dried up a bit. I have to wait for payday for different pots and some soil any way. Thanks for the advice guys!
