Sup guys So I decided to start a trial grow, just to see how far I could take plant with JGS Orgasoilux... This is my progress so far. 16/09/2015 - Dropped a random bean into a cup of soil and watered until there was some run off. I didn't pre soak the bean, just stuck it in the soil, possibly too deep as well. 21/09/2015 - No signs of life, just a much lighter, drier cup. Watered again until there was some runoff, moved from the garage to the windowsill. 22/09/2015 - SPROUT!!! 23/09/2015 - Say hello to my little friend 27/10/2015 - Watered and started giving 6 hours under the CFL's after sunset. Cabinet wasn't ready yet. 01/10/2015 - Got home from work to find Alice out of her cup, on the ground. Apparently my dog doesn't approve of all the attention she'd getting. The roots were all the way to the base of the cup, started to wrap around the bottom about 2 or 3 times. So i was forced to pot up 1 week after sprouting. Added some JGS Orgasoilux to a bigger pot along with 2 heaped teaspoons of mycorrhizal fungi and then dropped her ontop of that and filled the gaps with more soil. Watered until there was runoff. 07/10/2015 - Watered until there was runoff. I've noticed that my girl's looking a little yellow since she's been getting the full 18/6 under the cfl's. Temps range between 18 degrees (dark) and a max of 31 (light). Usually it's about 26 degrees in the light period. RH ranges between 70 and 40%. Right now the cabinet is at 28 degrees, RH 62% So what do you guys think? Has the Orgasoilux run outta juice? Could she be suffering from heat stress or am I just paranoid? PS, no idea how to reorder the pics, so you'll have to check the dates

I kid you not, and i have a 87cfm fan extracting. My intake is like a little vacuum, hahahaha. When I removed the desk fan, the temps dropped, but like you say, it might be my setup. It sounds almost unbelievable that a desk fan would up the temps that much! lol You sure the fan isn't blowing the hot air from the bulb onto the temp monitor? So, I checked it out, turns out my fan's angled up a little and it's blowing the heat out of my home made reflector, over my plant and the hygrometer. So I moved it, the temp now only goes up by 3 degrees. #nooberror I think I should put a hole or two in the reflector for some of the heat to escape.

Shot man, i'm yet to start my grow log. I'm thinking of dropping the Northern Lights this week coz I'm going to be plagued by high temps later. I saw 31 degrees yesterday. Not cool

Hahaha! Thanks @kimcarsons. I bought 6m of that shit, cost me R90. I have more than half left over even after making the reflector. I'll find a use for it

@Sticky_Buddha, I've noticed my temps go up by between 6 to 8 degrees in my cabinet when I have the deskfan going. It actually generates some heat. Maybe check that out?

Shot man. I feel you on that venture. I was thinking, if I suspend the fan instead of mounting it directly to the cab, it'll be quiet coz the fan powered on in hand makes almost no noise. I have some 100mm flexi ducting that could work.

Morning ya'll So my first grow cabinet is sorta done. I just need to change my exhaust fan and make the carbon filter. The fan I have is way too loud. I can hear it from my room and the cab is in the garage. The lighting rig and reflector is DIY too, panda film FTW! What do you guys think? 3 x 45w 6500K spiral CFL's (Veg) 23cm deskfan 87 CFM 120mm fan (need a quieter one)

Shot @Toby, I'll drop them a mail later. If the have, i'll post it. BTW, @Heisenberg, I dropped a seed (bagseed) in some JGS last wednesday, I saw it sprouted this morning... I'm just gonna water it when it approaches the weight of the dry soil. Just wanna see if I have any issues with the soil.

I went to builders in Tokia, 3 weekends in a row, they don't know what that is... LOL! I think I should drop them a mail.

I bought some JSG on wednesday. Mine doesn't look like yours. I have a seed in a plastic cup, it holds water for about a day, but the drainage is good, mostly everything passes through. So maybe it was a bad batch.
