  1. if it was in cape town, i'd be there
  2. @cheese420, I think you need to get them closer to the lights so they don't stretch more. I had my girls on books and just removed one at a time until there were none left. Maybe prop them up too.
  3. Shit son, my eyes! Hahaha! Nah, it's better to be prepared for the worst my man. See, I'm learning :thumbups So I'm gonna carry on as planned. I hope to flip them by Sunday/Monday, but I might delay it until the yellowing is corrected. If I notice anything weird, I'll post and readjust the nutes to contain as little N as possible. It's harder when you don't know the strain Alice is yellowing. The other sativa only looks happy when it's really hot and with less water and the indica enjoys cooler temps and alot of water. Between the 3 or them, they drink 2L every 2 to 3 days, ambient temp dependent.
  4. And now you've got me worried too. Lol! We'll see what happens then. Currently all my new growth is yellower than before, I suspect it's a cal-mag thing. The pics don't show it, so i didn't bother to take any, but something is different. I flushed them on Monday, they should be ready for watering tonight/tomorrow. I've mixed up 1ml epsom salts to 4L water, I'll give them that tomorrow and feed on the next watering. Lets say the measurement is 20-20-20, what's the worst that could happen during flower? Won't the plant just not use the excess N?
  5. Nutriplex grow, micro and bloom. I'll check the packaging when I get home from work. I recall seeing something like 20-20-20, but I'm not 100% sure
  6. Shot thanks @Heisenberg! Where have you been bruh? I always worry when one of you guys go missing. Maybe I'm paranoid, lol. As for the training, it's really all that scrogs hard work hey. This is way way easier than LST. @GLO, I'll do so. I'm close to putting them into flower. I've read that some guys start feeding the flowering regiment 7 days prior to flipping. What are your thoughts on that? They claim to get better yields and less stretch in the first week of 12/12. Also, when I flip them, should I change the on/off gradually?
  7. Sjoe guys, avo's always make me laugh hey! My sister had 2 huge avo trees at her place, when I was muuuuuch younger I was playing outside under said tree. Those avo's are hard hey! One of them plikked me on the kop, hahaha! That thing must've hit like an asteroid. THAT KNOB THOUGH!
  8. I suppose cutting the preflowers off wont work hey?
  9. Thanks again for the help Glo. Ja hey, its a bit kak working under that net! I need kiddie hands under there. The babies are going, but I fear another one's a male, I can't really tell just yet. Is it possible for a female to get pollinated during veg? Alice is branching out nicely...

    Cheese

    How tall are they?
  11. ok, noted, we'll see what happens
  12. I'm not doing hydro GLO.
  13. @cheese420, the JGS Orgasoilux basically buggered my plants slowly. I just got a bad batch. Everyone else's worked out for them. They yellowed and didn't feed the plant as explained by Jamie. If you check my grow log, you'll see the issues I had. I'm using this now, https://hydroponic.co.za/hydroponics/coco-compact-potting-soil/ without any issues. Straight btw, no perlite. Wets very easily, even when it's gone too long without water. @420SA, I bought some of this https://hydroponic.co.za/hydroponics/calcium-magnesium-nitrate/ so i have it incase the need arises. Wanna see how it goes with the trio, aact. When do you use the silica? I'm flipping them next week.
  14. Sup @cheese420 It's my first grow, never used nutes before. They were all started in JGS organic soil, but I had issues with that medium. On the next pot up I put them into "smart garden" compact coco potting soil. They ran for 2 months without feeding. I'm using normal tap water with a pH of 6.8, the medium's pH is the same. On Monday I fed them for the first time, but I only gave them 1ml of each in 2L of water. NO BURN! Watered them yesterday. I'll feed again tomorrow, but I'll use the 1.4ml as directed on the feeding chart.
  15. Howzit folks I recently purchased the Nutriplex trio from GTHydro, very friendly guys. They gave me a mixing chart. Thought I'd share it with you guys. Pretty helpful for a noob like me Nutriplex_feeding_chart.xlsx
  16. +1 on what @4207365 said. I germinated alot of beans over the months. A 24 hour soak and then into the medium seems to work well.
  17. Sup guys. My comeback kid, Alice. This is my first grow, so naturally my first scrog too. Many many lessons learnt. Thanks to everyone who offered advice and helped out with the problems! and and a special thank you coco compact potting soil
  18. Shot @GLO, I've started trimming down on all the plants. Alot of the leaves just fell off when touched. It's a mission to work under there coz the net's super close to the top of the pots. Anyway, I won't have that issue with the next grow. So it's occurred to me that CFL's light penetration is really super kak. At canopy level, the reading is 55848.78 lux and below it's 116.95541 lux. I plan on putting the plants into flower in about a week or 2. I'll be using 5 x 26w 2700k and 1 or 2 of these 45w 6500k. I'm thinking of adding whatever other 2700k bulbs I have laying around. Would the extras be better at the top or should I put them under the net at the base of the canopy? The reason behind me thinking it would be better underneath is coz quite a bit of the new growth is coming from the underside of the stem (very little light). That's where I'd put them if they were to go underneath. Thoughts? Advice?
  19. Thanks GLO! My flash is always off, the cab is rather bright How's your knowledge on scrogging? If I don't trim under then net, would the yield be greatly affected?
  20. These two are now in their final pots. They haven't shown sex yet, so hopefully that'll happen soon. I plan to put them into flower in about 2-3 weeks. I estimate that my net should be 75% full by then. I wish I knew which strains they are though. @Sir Smokalot, thanks for suggesting the CCPS! That was the game changer
  21. What happens if you have more than one plant that you'd like to enter?
  22. Update on Alice... For those of you who scrog, what would happen if I don't chop the leaves on the underside of the net? I have miscalculated my working space.
  23. Noted @kimcarsons Technically they not scrogging yet. They're raised to the net to get closer to the light. Nothing's tied down, so can move those ones around. Once they show sex, I'll pot up.
  24. Hahahaha! That's not Alice! Excuse me while I rid my cab of this bastard. Shot GLO!
