Agreed.. but if your soil mix is to hot things turn out badly... For beginners this is not advised..? I've gone straight into FF Premium Classic before and they love it..  It's just when you have expensive beans you tend to over think and screw up.. just my opinion.. When you just don't give a shit and JUST DO IT.. it works out fine...🤣

I saw my gat a few weeks back. Tried germinating in tea bags. Read somewhere that it's great. After 2 weeks my plants still hadn't grown their second set of leaves. Thank goodness i managed to save them. TEA BAG'S ARE A NO GO! DON'T TRY IT!!! They are now 5 weeks in and loving life.

As for straight up planting, FF and organics matter living soil is the tits.

First - thanks for all the replies guys!

Ok, many ideas here which I will certainly explore! I am confused though - I had this type of mold in my tent before and there I knew that in my case humidity was the issue - without a dehumidifier the Rh in my tent (especially during flowering) averages around 75% - so that I understand. But these plants were OUTSIDE in the open in Cape Town. No way lack of airflow was an issue, and humidity is not high at all this time of year. How did this happen and I need to learn proper preventative measures since I hate losing any plants...

Awe bru, PM has been a problem in Cape Town hey. I had it, I'm in the south. My mate had it who lives in the northern suburbs. TBH, all the mates who grow had it this year and last. This is both indoors and outdoors.

I sprayed my ladies with milk, H202, and some recipe i found online. Eventually ended up tossing all my plants and resetting. Goodluck man!

  3. I haven't tossed the plants yet @PsyCLown, my mate says he'll take a chance trying to mend them. He's hellbent on saving the genetics, coz they are good ones to keep.

I'm doing a proper clean over the weekend. Full tear down of everything. I have one of those hand pump sprayers, so i was checking i could mist the entire tent then zip up and hold the mister at the intake vent with the fans on to get the H202 everywhere. Wipe down and repeat. Just worried about the H202 potentially eating on my LED's. I could remove the lights and spray that down with ISO...

Also, my tent vents directly out of a window, so the room should be safe...

Would bleach kill the spores? I know H202 will.

do yourself a favour and stock up on some IPM products if you can.

Get an anti fungal agent - copper soap, Sulphur burner, neem too a little, AQSG

Get an anti bacterial - H202 is great for spraying plants, unscented bleach is good for general disinfectant of your tent and tools (Sodium hypochlorite)

Get an insectacide - Margret has a whole bunch that are pretty potent, Neem, Pyrol all work like a dream

and then, also get a wetting agent, as well as a foliar feed of your choice, kelpak is good, and have had good experience with Trellmix

all that could easily set you back over a grand, and there are many other products i did not mention, but i would start with the copper soap and pyrol, and a wetting agent.

tis the season for PM with all this humidity and rain we are having.

5 years of growing and this is the 1st time i got PM. And from my friends clone, the mother fucker! Hahaha!

Will defs get some copper soap. I have most of the other goodies already.

  5. While i have your attention, PM has spores right, so does this mean i have to disassemble my fans and clean EVERYWHERE?

  6. Thanks for the input guys. Nothing weird happening at the roots @Dank. And she drinks more than the other lady. 5L nute mix every 2nd to 3rd day. Her growth hasn't slowed down, but the spots are unsightly. I managed to snap a few shots through the loup this morning. Sadly that's as good as it's gonna get.

@ORGANinc., the reason why I suspect leaf septoria is coz there are no critters. Also, the symptoms are the same, apart from the brown spots they speak of. I've compared the pics from google and alot of them look just like mine. But the bulk of the pics have brown spotting as well.

Anyone have a tested recipe for insecticidal soap?

Did the spots only appear after spraying the plant with Apple cider vinegar & H202 or was it there before?

It appeared after the H202. But only om this one plant.

maybe take a few cuttings incase she doesnt come right.

but it legit looks like bug damage... do you have a microscope to get a close up of the damage?

I dunno if I wanna take cuttings from this one, considering she had PM... No microscope, but I can try a few shots through the loup tomorrow.

any of your other ladies experiencing this?

No sir, she is the only one.

Small rundown, I had 2 big girls in the tent along with 17 clones. One of the clones received had PM (which i didn't notice) and it spread to the big girls. Took them all out and now they live outside. Proceeded to spray the lot with apple cider vinegar. That didn't help, so i moved on to h202. Sprayed all the plants once. PM is gone, but now i'm struggling with this one. Completely clueless.

Which water source are you using ? Tap water ? Also, might be deficiency ? Slow amendments or water nutes ? I’m new to the town. Find me on Instagram: tanzenmusic thanks

    Tap water and biobizz nutes.

Could be microscopic like rust mites, or worst case some virus. (Would be more deformed leaves in both cases tho)

Could be you had spidermites but ladybirds or other benificials pulled in and had a feast.

    New growth aight?

Nah, never had any sort of mites or lady bugs in the area. Its been pretty bugless. The new growth is spotty as well. Lower leaves went yellow then fell off.

  10. Ok guys, I've checked everywhere. No signs of pests. I get the occasional dragon fly or bee, but that's it. Maybe something in the soil? Could it be leaf septoria?

Looks really similar to thrips or mite damage. I can't see a def causing that. Strange that you see no sign of any bugs.

Yep, I haven't seen this issue before? I doubt it could've been the h202 coz it's appearing on the new growth as well.

  12. Ahoy ladies and gents.

So I have recently had to halt my grow due to PM. I've given up on trying to save the bulk of the plants, just too much PT. It's a shame that I've lost so many kwaai strains though. One of the plants that were least affected seems to have a different issue now. Any ideas what it could be?

I removed this one from the tent on 26/10. Did a major defol and then bombed her once with H202 @ 3% strength. I rinsed with clean water the following day.

No signs of mites, webs or any other bugs.
