in soil you can use clean water because the soil has organic material in it that can break down and feed the plant again.

in coco, you will just wash everything out and leave the plant hungry AF... 

you dont have to flush with a lower ec than your standard feed.... if your standard feed is 1.0 ec... then you should flush with 1.0EC too

I always thought if you're in coco/perlite, you flush with clean water and once you're no longer running off, you'd feed with a weaker mix

I agree, FF has given me the best use and re usability of all the soils I've tried so far. Organics matter came with fungus gnats flying out the bags. Yet to try Jamie's, got a bag in the garage for the next run

it's a pity there's no way to really control RH if you're poor... fucking RH always has me stressing. One thing i have learnt in the past few years on here, smaller buds have less chance of developing budrot, rather have many smaller koppe. Seems to work for me.

Hopefully you can see what I was aiming for, I managed to run my whole setup off one plug. All wiring goes from my "control board" into the tent through the one vent, then into some electrical piping, then out just above the fan and to the desired devices. Never mind my lady frame sunnies, it works piele under the LED's

This is my flower tent, you can see the lights and the box fans mounted at the top of the tent.

All the strings for the rope ratchets are moved to the side of the tent to help keep things neat, wiring is mostly done at the top of the tent to help keep things neat as well.

Power supplies sit outside the tent, on top of it - usually some cardboard box which is on the top of the tent and the power supplies sit on the cardboard box to insulate the heat and keep it away and out of the tent.

 

 

 

I could probably take it a step further and try get all the wiring into a single loom and try do something similar with the rope ratchet strings, but I feel that is excessive and not really needed. It does not affect the grow at all and just takes time and will make swapping equipment out more difficult if I ever needed to.

I wish i had a setup like this to play with

First i would look to get cooler and more wind on the plants. Spider mites hate wind. Then wash off as many as you can with a sprayer. Use 9 parts water and 1 part alcohol.  Sprinkle your top soil with diatomaceous earth. Shouldnt harm your plants or leave any taste on your buds.. but the spider mites will hate it... repeat till clean. 

Awe Prom, i do the 9/1 with vegging plants, i did that with my clones that had mites and it worked fantastically, not sure i'd wanna do it with the flowering girls. Alcohol/iso desolves trichomes.

I'd say about 30% is affected buy the mites hey. It's just a couple o branches that got close to each other. But I just realized i may have to do a cmplete wash, predatory mites are everywhere

You could bud wash, but not sure it help with the mites.

Morning all. Small update on the tent. As you can see, the spider mite got to a few of my branches... Nothing i could do about it.

My question to the masses. Harvest is coming up in a week maybe, the mites that remain, what will happen to them once the trees are chopped? Will they stay and feast or fall off and die as the plant is drying?

@Stefan if you do go for a walk tomorrow, leave the ash and just grab a little soil from the berg. You can topdress with that or even brew a tea with it.

Currently I've got Mandarin Cookies R1V2, Zkittles Cheese, Lemon OG and 9lbs hammer as seen in the pics. This run should finish up before end May. Then I was gifted a few clones from @SkunkPharmthat i wanna mess with.

I wonder if they'll open that part of the berg to the public. Ususally when there's a fire, they close it up to prevent more erosion.
