Hi folks.
So currently on day 59 of flower and starting to see some serious fade. Some might be a slight deficiency at the end stretch of flower but I am not too stressed about that. It's quite difficult to keep 8 strains happy with their nute needs...
The OSG Cheese and Jelly Breath will most likely come done first, have seen some sprinklings of amber tricome in between. Will most likely chop them at the 9 to 9 and a half weeks. The rest will be staggered harvest and SSH will close the show.
The White Afghan Skunk has picked up the most amazing colours with the fade. Really a beautiful plant..
Been a nice grow for me with limited issues even though the humidity was through the roof the last couple of weeks in flower...
Mind the droopy leaves the pics were taken just before watering, flush is also now in action on all ladies except the SSH

As always love the Doctors prescription
Never heard of them before but at a quick glance they stock some heavyweight breeders. Thanx for the share

That is Fusarium sp. or Fusarium wilt. Soilbourne pathogenic fungus, enters the plant mostly via the roots, blocks the xylem channels and symtoms usually appear during flower.
Do some googling, its a bad one to have and can spread easily.
Cut and burn all affected plants, they will not recover. Been there done this.
Soil can be treated with trichoderma beneficial fungus preparations. Ecobuzz rootpro seems to have worked for me.
Like a Bos(s)!!! Thanx a lot man. That is a snapshot of the problem we needed. Much appreciated

Hey all
Any of you that ride out to Haarties check out Bruhouse on the way, Hekpoort Rd R563 Hekpoort, Krugersdorp, 1790.
Cold drinks, hot food and great service. Their cannabis club has some lekker members & a very reasonable annual fee, was R300 this year.
They have a 5 ton Bulldog press members can use with arrangement, I used and loved it so ended up buying my own press from SA Rosin Press (dead chuffed).
Buddy of mine also got one from SA Rosin Press. Shit is on fire and exceptionally well crafted.

Thank you guys for all the feedback.
Gotta love this community always willing to help out and share knowledge. I thank you for that.
I will have a chat to my mate to see what preventative measures we can take to avoid losing his whole crop to this shit.
All the inputs were valuable and will be put to good use. Hopefully we can help him save the rest

Morning folks,
I need help from some of our outdoor growers please. I have a buddy that's busy with an outdoor run but something funky is happening to the plants.
I have never seen the specific symptoms he is having and not sure whether it has to do with the crazy humid and rainy weather we are having in Gauteng.. is it mold? Or is it something different?
Buds don't seem to be directly affected but the stems are... he is now systematically losing all his outdoor ladies to this shit.. any advise or input will be appreciated.

Had an itch to start documenting, sharing and learning again. So I'm dusting off the rust and getting back in the grow diary saddle. Haven't really done this kinda thing since the weed.co.za and BTL days.
Expect blunt opinions, a bit of pollen chucking and lank dank:)Am running a small outdoor greenhouse. Shaded sides and greenhouse plastic top around slightly raised organic beds. All plants are started in Freedom Farms Classic. Sprouted in trays, transplanted to 1lt bags then to beds.
I've always xmas treed outdoor plants but am trying SCROG for the first time. Hoping this will improve quality and consistency. Yield is not a top priority. Would rather have a 3 jars of gas than 1 of jar gas with 5 jars of popcorn.
Clones were were vegged inside for a month+ and then put outside in mid December. Been stretching and are in early flower. First trichomes are around the corner. Clones are Terple, Frosted Apricots, Tart Pops, GG4.
Seeds were planted in mid December. The goal if for them to push veg and flower a bit later than usual. Trying to avoid the late summer rains and bud rot. A pinch more colour from the lower Autumn temps wouldn't hurt. Seedlings are Banizzle, Blue Dreamsicle, Totomi, Purpsicle and Jungle Juice.First prize is a hip to chest height layer of buds. Maintaining tall plants and broken branches sucks. A lower canopy is gonna do wonders for my back and let me really savor watching the grass grow.
Also doing a seed run. Not gonna claim to be a breeder or anything like that. Simply pollen chucking a dank stud on bunch of my favourite cuts. It's dope to have grown enough cultivars to know what I like and enjoy working with. Refining my preferred genetics and pheno hunting is a new adventure. More on that later.
Here's a video of where things are at today. The little greenhouse of mostly In-House Genetics.
Great diversity of strains you got going there.
If you don't mind me asking where were you able to pick up some Jungle Boys gear?
Excited to see how this unfolds, following along.

Hi Family,
I've been asked to be a product tester and grow ambassador, for a local grow shop Quick Buy n Grow.
My first product to test is a seed from Pilchards and Caviar, Surf and Turf.
Before I do anything, how do you all feel, if I post the grow here for information and interest sake?
All post will be fair, unbiased, and my complete, unpaid opinion.
Only the product is provided to me, to test.
Thank you for your time all
Trooper
Great stuff.
Lol and just today I read somewhere that Redro and Pecks Anchovette spread will be discontinued
So let's replace it with Pilchards and Caviar
Never heard of the breeders before. Are they local? Do we know the parent strains of Surf & Turf

Totally in agreement. The OSG gear is really on point and I am quite impressed with the Motherland genetics as well, even though they had that little bit of a hoo-ha.

Hi folks
Currently day 52 of flower and now I totally understand why people run carbon filters. I don't have one and our whole house smells like a terp fueled garden
I have started adding some Biobizz Top Max to see if we can increase the bud size but overall I am content and happy with how they are already.
The SSH is quite unique in its tricome development. It really glistens like diamonds and aren't as tightly spaced like the rest of the ladies, I am excited to see how she will progress.
I will start monitoring the tricome development on the ladies to see how close we are to the chop.
The lone clone is also doing its revegging thing outside

I must've been smoking the wrong strain when I got sick! Or maybe it acted like a vaccine and prevented serious illness
Or it was the right strain all along the complexities of the human endocannabinoid system and our understanding thereof is still in its infancy.

Have you noticed a general attitude change towards big pharma as we get deeper into this 'pandemic'? I wouldn't be surprised that they want the reputation of big pharma to fall a bit so they can start introducing their "new and organic" range of cannabinoid health and medicinal products created at scale as means of propping themselves back up as the conscious heroes they are
100% on point man. It is a cabal of profit seeking organisations with only self interests and market share in mind. We have already seen big pharma dable in the CBD space and with the endless money flow at their disposal one can reasonably assume that once they enter the market full steam all the smaller players (that do their work based on ethics and integrity) will be relegated to the bottom of the food chain.
Such an intricate topic that can be debated ad nauseam...

Morning folks.
I came across this very interesting article relating to a certain cannabinoid acid that can bind to the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein that can essentially block the virus from infecting human cells.
The study was done by researchers at the Oregon State University and just goes to show how far behind we are at understanding all the numerous medicinal benefits of the range of cannabinoids that the plant has to offer.
I have to be honest it is quite irretating for me that there is no real political will globally to embrace the study of the plant more aggressively as we are only at the tip of the proverbial iceberg at understanding the numerous benefits that one can find in the plant..
Here's the link if you wanna have a read..
Have a blazing day folks.

Oh yeah and I forgot to add.
With the crazy weather in Gauteng I had a spare cutting of Blunicorn that I didn't want to throw away as I hate throwing away excess cuttings.
We have a small little pot with mostly sand and some succulents in the garden. I took the fresh cutting with no hormone powder or anything on it and stuck it in the ground. No dome or anything and just left it be.
To my surprise it took and is currently going strong. Just goes to show how tough this plant really is and how hardy it can be.

Thank you brother! If you're in gauteng we can swap some cheese bud when you're ready so that we can compare taste and smell.
Yes sir I most definitely am. That would be fantastic thanx for the offer. Will hit you up once I have some nice cured bud for you.

Man I'm so glad the cheese looks to be living up to it's name.
Oh yes absolutely man. Was really looking for that old school Exo smell and she definitely has it in abundance. Hopefully the taste will also be on point but I doubt I will be disappointed.
I have to commend you for stocking the OSG strains. Every single one in the tent is living up to the name and description provided. I am super stoked to have some more of his gear to run next round.

Hi folks.
So I am currently 45 days into flower and as promised here are some bud shots. I took a light shot and a flash shot...
I am really happy with all the plants terp profiles, tricome development and bud size. Probably the best run I have ever had and this is only my 3rd real indoor run.
And the ultimate blessing for me is that the OSG Cheese is starting to push that Exo smell that I was so badly looking for. I can't wait to cure and smoke that lady

That's good to know man. Please post a pic would like to see the bud structure prior to the chop.
Yeah from the looks of it I might have a rather fast flowering Cheese pheno on this side. Will keep an eye on the tricomes as the bud matures

Plants are starting to fill out nicely man! Right on! I see some are still shooting pistols and others already starting to slow down quite clearly, puts my mind at ease as the same thing is happening to me now. I thought it could have been due to too much light however to some degree I think it may have been. Top nugs receding and not as happy.
Thanx man.
Yeah running different strains at once creates a bit of a conundrum as they feed differently and also progress differently through the flowering cycle. On my side I only push out just under 400 watt of LED so not too much to worry about on excessive light.
I hope you grow will go well man, share some pics if you can

Hi folks,
So I am currently 41 days into flower and the tent is smelling insane. Overall a dominant candy smell. Will still give each one a sniff to see where they end up at.
For one the mains are all starting to gain some mass and fill out but the SSH is showing that she will switch the lights off in the tent at the end. The ladies are also starting to fade out, some more than others..
The Blunicorn also bliksemed over but atleast no damage done so she was also staked.
The OSG Cheese and Jelly Breath ladies are really staking their claim for best ladies in the house. Glad I kept a cutting of the OSG Cheese and will forever be grateful to my man @PsyCLown for his contribution with the Jelly Breath.
I will post some bud shots later in the week.

That's my wish as well but Gane has got some movement, he will most likely try to avoid any big punches and make it a 5 round war of attrition.
Figueredo has never been this on point with his weight cut as well and he looks hungry to get the title back. Could swing either with both fights but I second your call.
