  1. Check that your temps not going over 30 in any case.. 26 is the last bit of the sweet spot. Na, can't be the autopot res.. the plant would show deficiency on all buds and leaves.. not just the endings. MORE air ^^ if your LED are able to do that, do yourself a favor and add another fan. Baking your buds ruins the flavors 100%.. keep em cool, then distance is not your issue as fast. If your LED gets just hot, add a cooling fan to it.. worth it I wouldn't trim, that is just damage that will stay. you get it off easy with a trim brush when you dress the buds
  2. If you want to up your game in regards to terpenes and potency, get a quantum flux meter.. would do that before doing anything with CO2
  3. You use 320 watt on a 3mx2.2m space? mhhhh how many micromol PAR you get on those heads? If you don't reach over 1200, the additional CO2 will have no effect at all. You will waste your money for zero effect. CO2 is the building block plants use to get their carbon from.. carbon based life form ^^.. If the plant gets a lot of light, the CO2 concentration will limit her grow speed. When you add CO2 in a artificial environment and add the light strength, you get more plant faster. The reason to use a CO2 generator system.. but that is more for the medical producers. Setting up a CO2 system needs more light as you had before or you had massively more light as needed (I personally do not think that your 320watt can produce the mmol to justify a CO2 generator). Adding the additional light will cause your ventilation and AC to most likely need an upgrade. Running 1300 watt light.. I use on a 1.2m x 3.6m area.. would have to go in the range of 2500-3000 watt light to make a CO2 generator reasonable.. getting rid of that heat.. I get gray hair right away hehehe AC costs to run will increase drastically. As said.. have fun and give it a try.. if you run a grow in a second tent with no CO2, you can measure how much money you blow for how much more yield.. and if you get to hot, you ruin your taste, so balancing the new CO2 system will take a few grows to dial in again.
  4. from the location and the other leaves are looking fine.. how far is your lamp from those buds? I would say heat stress...
  5. CT not garden route, or? ^^ But.. driving to Plett to hand in the weed.. is a bit of a long drive I would courier it thou hehehe as I lab test the Gelato hunt anyhow.. could send some tasty samples Bring your 15 Grams of cured flower which you would like to submit for entry, to The CannaClub Club House during this time.
  6. I take 20% loss.. over 20% i tell the seed bank and till now, Nivana or Fastbuds, my only complains, replaced without any argument.
  7. contact them and tell them.. they will replace the seeds.. or a good seed bank does
  8. Look at the big picture... the WHO has a say... and now there is little reason NOT to legalize cannabis in SA. Law not done, lets hope our law makers act according to the vibe of the time and not just to that criminalizing draft... with my pheno hunt... the draft would give me 15 years in prison... even the 1.2x1.2 with all the possible mothers, only 2 plants survive, rest goes compost heap... the draft not counting breeding and hunting at all. Perhaps i am a optimistic fool.. i hope it gets legalized in SA
  9. I also want to add.. I changed my inliners from the cheap shit ones.. to silent TD 500. Was a bit investment BUT.. to my surprise, my energy consumption dropped A LOT! The 4 6 inchers I had before used 630 Watts on the plug once spooled up. The 4 TD-500 draw 174 Watts.. that is a word for 24/7 running gear. I have them running only on medium, but that is just a nick less air moved compared to the old ones. My humidity control is still very good.. I just use 450 watts less electricity A TS3000 running for free. Yes, the TD-500 set me back 12k.. but that should be back in the wallet within a year. Eskom also announced a price hike 1 April, we go 16% up I started to order some solar panels ^^ will convert as much as I can. Not sure why I pay for electricity and have load shedding for years and years.
  10. If you do not run a lab like environment, I honestly wouldn't go that way. Will take you a bit to have all balanced and then you live with the cost.. as long as you do not want to break high yield records, I would stay away from CO2 additives, your cost go up (you need more light, more power, more cooling). If you go on out of curiosity.. nothing against, you only learn from trying.. just one very important rule: When ever you are in your grow room and you only start to feel a little dizzy, LEAVE IMMEDIATELY!!!!!! CO2 can kill you faster as you think. Sensors can fail..
  11. Pics from 21 Feb Indoor The fast growers nearly made it to the top ^^ 1 hour till dark Outdoor starts to lean side ways ^^ I started to flush the outdoor Gelato going more Indica. Give the sativa leaning a week more.
  12. The WHO took Cannabis off the list for dangerous drugs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now we are cooking...
  13. Just because I enjoy them so much. As a seed bank, Ace is second to none in regards to information provided on each strain they sell. Got my eyes on the Malawi & Panama Standard, sounds interesting staying over the pond right now and still test out more genetics from the US, was a fun trip so far. Beside, I still feel like a blind dude stumbling around in a forest full of candy. Need to see again where i am going Somebody runs into a nice seed bank.. please post a link. https://aceseeds.org
  14. And some indoor Gelato pics, they are 3 weeks behind in flower stage. As you see.. I run the same messy jungle with photos too hehehe They went dark 10 minutes after the pic was taken. The outdoor Charlottes Web sativa swinging Lady develops some very sexy colors
  15. Some pics of the outdoor Gelato's from the 17 Feb.. ^^ I still have the Ruderalis standing around.. and after 3 months.. they decided to flower. 12 weeks of very slow Veg.. ^^ not sure I want to work with those genetics. I look further for a timer... My inner voice tells me to flush the more Indica leaning Gelato plant end this week.. flushing Photos in Feb is a bit of a head scratcher.. I think I just follow my inner feeling and see how it ends. The Sativa ones, still strong flowering, 1,2 weeks longer.
  16. I was three years ago on green crack not sure there is a auto. What you should easy find is a silver lemon haze, jack herer or any sour diesel in auto version. Their terpene profile should fit your search criteria, for sure more out there but those jump my mind right away.
  17. I was reading over terpenes once more to see what new is out there. You find about 200 terpenes and 100 cannabinoids in one plant. My simple calculation was, the bigger my plant, the healthier, the better. So main focus was fertilizer. I will most likely redo my Biobizz tables and make a monstrous change.. but that has strangely not much to do with terpenes, just more yield. It wasn't hard to recognize, that my weed quality went up, as long as I kept my climate in the perfect range. The Quantum Flux Meter gave the next huge increase in quality. And ran into this short but rather significant article on Royal Queen Seeds. As I always said.. you have to unpack your A game from start to end and keep the climate in ranges not hurting your terpenes... and if you screw over drying or curing, you still end with bad weed Can You Increase Terpene Production? Genetics play an important role in the terpene content of a strain. Cannabis breeders actively combine desirable terpene profiles to create strains that possess a specific blend. However, environmental factors can sway just how much of a specific terpene a cannabis plant expresses. Growers can take advantage of these influencing cues to drive up terpene levels, subsequently enhancing the taste, smell, and effects of a harvest. Cultivators can hone in on several key methods to increase terpene levels, including: Adequate stress Correct lighting Optimal temperatures Flushing before harvest Proper drying and curing
  18. 15 years ago your "question" would be valid.. but science debunked the Indica is a downer and Sativa is a upper idea.. what you wanna feel, what effect you look for.. then you get some rather good suggestions I copy/paste .. to hot to type hehehe Do Terpenes Determine Indica or Sativa Effects? If you’re reading this article, you likely know the difference between indica and sativa cannabis strains. This nugget of conventional wisdom has dominated the cannabis space for decades. Traditionally, indica-dominant strains describe stoning varieties, whereas sativa cultivars are described as energetic and cerebral. However, cannabis scientists have recently scrutinised this paradigm. The traditional model associates these attributes with genetic factors and divides indica and sativa strains into different subspecies of the plant. More recent discoveries instead link the effects of a strain to its specific cannabinoid and terpene profile. Although indica and sativa titles certainly correlate to the morphology of a strain, they don’t necessarily determine the chemical profile within. THC plays the role of the active constituent within psychoactive cannabis strains. But, why do different strains produce different highs? Terpenes hold the answer. Through the entourage effect, terpenes determine whether a high will be physical and stoning or cerebral and stimulating. This new understanding of cannabis has led some researchers to even ditch the idea of strains altogether, as plants of the same cultivar can vary in terpene level as well. Instead, they suggest a new paradigm of “chemovars[3]”, where plants are categorised based on their unique phytochemical profiles and subsequent effects.
  19. I tried to find any updates or when the ruling on the draft should be done... mid Feb now.. found nothing. Anybody has an idea when this will finally happen? Should have happened October 2020.. very curious when we finally have a law to work with. Just read, in Canada gets now more weed sold over the counter, then on the black market. What also means the tax man has a big smile on his face. I still hope they legalize all to get some money into the empty tax accounts. Getting 15% from every joint sold.. can't be small cash hehehe 18 September 2018 they gave 24 months to turn the draft into a law... so more then 29 months passed now Anybody has an idea or news?
  20. Shook out the water, had some soft but long rain. Would guess the Gelato's are done end Feb, first week March latest. Lets see how wrong i can be The CW's more beginning April. A and B D C (bend one) CWs Sorry bored...
  21. still very warm... when you have a heat issue.. working with a HID system.. will not help over 30.. you more or less bake your terpenes. Is one of those barriers you shouldn't cross or only on rare occasions. If your Autos stay that small, is a heat issue, your roots are not happy, would be my opinion.
  22. Ace Seeds veeeery nice! I had a very nice chat with one of their head breeders last year. They were working on some Malawi stuff gave me a bit the idea to look closer into the African Landraces.. we are not done here "yet" Please diary some.. very curious how those Ace seeds perform.
