congratulations on your win @mantisI think I will sit out the next one if it’s fem seeds. Having to many Herm issues. And need to grow out some of my own genetics. (I have been pollin chucking.Hermies? Eish, not ideal.
It happens, but not something I come across all that often and I personally much prefer fems over regulars.
You got almost a year at least until the next one though

I store my seeds in my fridge and do not have issues germinating them.
I never put my seeds directly into the medium that, but that comes down to personal preference in terms of germinating seeds.
Many ways to get it done.

I found as I got older and having less time to spend hours on games I became less interested in story modes and it became more about playing online with friends and having fun in the short time.
Before my girlfriend and I moved in together we used to play battle royals almost every night during the week.
How often do you playing during the week now that you live with your girlfriend?

Did you possibly spill some nutes on those leaves?

@CreX 100%
You get some really awesome board games and card games, good fun to play with friends.
Munchkin is also pretty cool and there are many more.
I have played Catan a few times, it is a lot of fun. Games can last for a while though!

Xbox Player for about a year and a half. Not sure if its my head/mind that just cant decide on games but I downloaded a lot of games and uninstalled cause I just cant get anything that keeps my attention or is "fun".
The games that stay on my console that I play due to some buddies playing is :
Fortnite
Pubg
Gears of War etc
I am thinking of downloading Titanfall 2 and just want to know if anybody play it and what your thoughts are...
This is kinda part of the reason why I stopped playing games as well.
As a kid, the games which were available at the time which I loved playing were very different compared to what is available now which literally feels like the same game you've been playing for the past couple of years just with different looks and characters.
A lot of games have gone online and multiplayer too, which is cool and all but its soo repetitive and let's not get into the talk about how many hours some people spend playing and how good they are which can at times take the fun out of it... Counter Strike is like this for me - go around a corner and you're dead before you even get to see anyone. You need to keep up with the meta, find OP combos, know the tricks and tips etc.
I did enjoy COD Mobile when I was playing it. I wouldn't mind an Oculus Quest 2 either.
EDIT: What happened to games like Spyro, Croc, Crash Bandicoot, Metal Slug, Contra even Metal Gear Solid was cool, God of War, Devil May Cry.
Strategy games like Age of Empires and Red Alert - those were awesome and it was something new. Now it just feels like much of the same from back then and it's kinda boring I feel.
I use to enjoy the Warcraft 3 custom maps which were made, like the battle ships maps etc. That was super fun and exciting and by changing the map you could be playing an entirely new game!
Gaming does not feel the same anymore. At least not to me.

"The results of this survey confirm that most rolling paper products available on the consumer market contain pesticide or heavy metal contaminants"
"With pesticides, the story is largely the same. Though less prevalent, the concentration of pesticide contaminants varied widely, and a significant percentage of the products tested were contaminated with pesticides in concentrations that exceeded the action limits."
Reminds me of the fact that most soda cans have rat poop on the lids
Sometimes one just needs to say FUCK IT!
Light your joint and open that can of soda... and enjoy!
What does not kill you, makes you stronger... right?

I spent a lot of my days picking out the thinest of papers, untreated, organic papers, hemp papers.... it's only logical, right? No, it's all bullshit.
I believe we're being taken for a whatwhat by the marketing sector. BIG RED FLAG FOR HEMP BASED ROLLING PAPERS
BIG RED FLAG FOR ANY CELLULOCE BASED PAPERS
BIG RED FLAG FOR ANY WHITE PAPERS
Here is a video to help some understanding how to look at rolling papers before buying and not only to read the name on the box
So attached is the report from SC Labs, however they don't state all of the products tested and which failed or passed.
Cellulose papers seem to be something one should stay away from though.

So when I pot clones or pop seeds (just did some seeds yesterday).
I saturate my medium with 2L to 3L of full strength veg nutes (GHE tripart), that is in a 20L fabric pot. Never had any issues with stunted growth and the medium stays moist for around a week as it mostly evaporates over time as they don't drink much.
Even if the medium is still a bit wet after a week, I will give a bit of feed as well but not the full 3L per pot. My grow environment is likely different to yours though - RH, temp, air flow etc.
I always feed with nutes though, you have your 2nd set of true leaves there as well. Never tried to get seedlings going in coco without nutes, but never had issues either. Not saying it is needed as I know seedlings can go without nutes for upto 3 weeks, just easier for me and I make sure to PH obviously. It does not do any harm. The nutes are then available for when the seedling is ready.
Auto's can be iffy at times though, the most issues I have experienced have been with auto's. Pop multiple seeds at once, some have amazing growth and out of say 5 one is just super slow. Never had this with photoperiods and I have popped a lot more photo seeds.
I really doubt it is your light. You could lower it a little if you really wanted to but I don't feel that is necessary.

There's a lot of people who honestly have no interest in the plant, or helping the community, they just want to make some quick $$$. And unfortunately this is something that is going to happen.
100%
I have said that exact thing in a different thread.
As a consumer now a days, one needs to become the expert and do a full investigation before committing to something, otherwise you can end up being shafted and taken for a ride.

One needs to ensure they buy from reputable breeders.
People buying seeds in bulk and reselling, putting different names on these strains, using pictures from others and not of the actual seeds they're selling etc.
IMO these strains / breeders / brands you want to avoid. Rather buy seeds from a breeder who has input into what is being bred and not just from someone who buys their seeds and resells (not talking about seedbanks, but "breeders").

This is the issue, it's all proprietary blends. LolMy question is what type of microbes are those brands using, for example Biodyne and moss blend by umya do not state anything besides dosages and I've used a few others with no mention either.
I can see how redosing can be a waste in soil and a thriving environment. But what about soiless? Will it than be beneficial to inoculate or is it possible to maintain a healthy environment for the microbes to thrive?
If one is feeding the microbes in soilless, I don't see why it would differ much.
Less organic matter but they're getting food still.

I have seen it before, never tried it.
My thing is, how does this compare to other microbe inoculations?
Products like Biodyne, EM pro soil, ExploGrow etc?
Perhaps a little off topic, but a lot of these products all recommend redosing throughout the grow - if one is providing feed for the microbes, surely they should be happy and thriving and multiplying and not require another inoculation? Perhaps it is for those who do not provide food for the microbes.

Some interesting results.
RAW and OCB both have some strong following!
However RAW has a wider range and in SA more (maybe all?) of their products are available. I have never seen pre-rolled OCB cones being sold locally.
RAW on the other hand, it is becoming very common - a lot of the vape shops and most headshops sell RAW and a large selection of their range too.

As everyone else has said, the plant is busy re-vegging as the amount of hours of light is now increasing, so they will continue to veg until next year March / April and then will start to flower if you keep them outdoors.
They're going to be BIG plants. Monsters of note as they are going to have a looot of time to veg.

All good points to bring up as they all effect everything, but I think the best way to picture it is to look 1 sided first, understand a type of scenario and the factors at play, lets take an inert system total of X water goes in, the ability for that water to stay in the medium and not be leached out or by evapotranspiration is your holding capacity, if that X stays in for a short or long time, it directly affects the holding capacity.
Now lets take a living system, of the same volume, not fresh out the bag, this needs to be said. Reason being, the system has not begun the cogs have not been greased and the organism are very much dormant. Once a bag of any soil really that contains some or many amendments goes through wet and dry cycles, according to what's growing in the medium, (ideally the same plant) that microbiome will become more and more robust, the more it goes through wet and dry cycles. increase OM and subsequently water-holding capacity. Some would think more organism more water, but not the case, microbes unlock water in the soil for roots in a microscopic part of the clay colloids that the roots cant even get too.
Om really increases your water holding capacity, that and covering your soil. lots of water goes up in the air. Generally water is never servicing 100% of its purpose in soil, there is always irregular expenditure, like our government.
I think I see and understand it a bit better now. You are basically saying reuse the soil and as time goes on the organic matter content would increase and therefore the holding capacity increase as well? All the dead roots and perhaps some other matter too.

My experience is soil holds more water than Coco, Coco by itself or coco mixed with a few buffer ingredients here and there to help with root movement and ''some'' colonization will always hold far less water than a true Living system.
Science says that with living systems you can save between 5 and 7 times more water. That's why the more microbes in your system the more prone you are to overwatering. They increase the water holding capacity dramatically, if your soils structure is a miss they will first fix that too.
I think the being careful not to let your soil dry out is a huge fallacy and its causes newer growers to make the mistake of overwatering. Properly cared for plants with well mulched surfaces and environments on par will drink at most 7-10% of the container size ever 3 days or so.
My experience has been the opposite that soil does not hold as much water as coco.
This has been soil out of the bag, like Freedom Farms or Organics Matter. Soil from my garden without a doubt holds far less water than the craft cannabis soils. The structure of the soil would certainly play a big role in the water holding capacity an it would vary between different soil mixes.
You can train your plants and/or make use of additives to help make the plants more robust and resistant to drought etc.
Microbes increasing the water holding capacity is news to me and my mind boggles to try understand this. The only way I see this working is with the microbes breaking down stuff in the soil - but then just adjust the way you compose the soil and you could have it hold more water from the get go.
I can understand that certain conditions or substances can lead to plants making use of less water, in which case you do not need to water as often.
Mulch and environment can play a big role in how often one needs to water as well. Hot days, low RH and the pots dry out quicker for sure.
I guess the next question would be how quickly does it happen? From opening a 30L bag of soil until the water holding capacity is increased significantly and even then, what would be classified as significant? I can understand one might not always want more water holding capacity as well though.
