OMG -30C!!!

At Least Fox news is open minded!

So yah folks there ya have it..... I want to go like this!
-
Oh also notice how the buds differ.. last two pics.... Same plant but different lighting!
-
-
I only defoliate the bottom 40cm once in flower. not sure if u wanna defoliate anything at the top with LED lighting. Also it looks Sativa dominant they tend to have more space btw the leaves and branches.

Had similar issues with PM, tried the fat free milk / water spray method, but PM is systemic apparently so milk will only get you so far... Ended up getting some AQ SF Liquid from Jamie's Garden Shop in Somerset West, a parasitic fungicide that 'eats' Powdery Mildew and is apparently fine using throughout flower.
Maybe something to look into...
@Stoukie Just get a mildew resistance strain. my one girl Indica was 90% covered with PM and my Sativa right next to it has none.... wish I took a pic of that horror show lol
Thanks for the info on the AQ SF will look into it. currently spraying my vegetative plants with Neem oil.

Agreed it would not make sense topping these. 4weeks in flower now.

@SkunkPharm Am not an expert but those buds look nice and round defs not needed

So far so good without heating. Average temps are 20 degrees daytime and 15 degrees nighttime and about 70% humidity Cloning took 10 days longer to root than summer but the vegging and flowering girls grow strong and fat.
Due to higher humidity my indica was taken over my powdery mildew so she ended up short flowering ( 4 weeks ) and turned it to oil.... not sure if this is safer to smoke?

I have accidentally done it before and it came out great. But have not tried it intentionally. Will give it a go when I grow sativas again.

@SkunkPharm I did not feel the need to do this to my Indica dominant strain.

At what point do you top the buds?

@SkunkPharm About midway to late stage flowering.

So far I have experienced topping 3-4 mm of the buds/colas that are the pointiest leads to fatter buds.

Hmm, this is interesting.
So the hermie won't produce seeds by itself? Cannot pollinate itself and create feminised seeds?
Still need another female in flowering to be pollinated, although you're bound to get feminised seeds at least?
I assume this would work with autoflowers as well?
@CleanGreen you therefore end up cloning a clone and so it continues until you decide to stop?
From what I have read it shouldn't be an issue and will fine as well, easier than having two tents - one for flowering and one for veg.
@PsyCLown Yea I take clones from my clones. Two months rooting and vegging and two months flower.

@Trickerst Shut down operations!?..... what will I smoke?
Re the feminized seeds, seen some people use colloidal silver on their pollinated girls to create feminized seeds, does this work?
-
@highjinx Thanks for reply... yeah space is an issue for me to, that why I just take clones from the girls b4 they go into flower.... Cannot see a reason to keep a permanent mother plant.

So I take my clones once my girls go into flowering, see 90% of the articles out there talking about keeping a mother plant and take clones from her. Anyone out there, advantages/disadvantages of this?
Also who has kept a plant from seed alive through cloning the longest?

Been a while since last update. 2 weeks ago I had to get rid of my flowering Peach hybrid..... powdery mildew took over, guess not the best time of year to grow Indica indoor without humidity control haha oh well my Sativa girls doing great, week 9 of flowering gonna push her to 12 wks. So far the colder weather and humidity not effecting her grow.
Below generation 3
Generation 4 clones below

Also use the Hortimix, got minor brown spots but all in all my girls seem to like it. I tend to use 10-20% less than what the instructions say and keep a close eye on the leaves. Also i have noticed that I never have to adjust the PH.

Oh that bru. No I had powdery mildew and at one point I sprayed them with a water and milk solution which then dried on the leaves. Like a top layer and it was peeling off on them. I sprayed after that with a water and bicarb soda mix too. No thrips here luckily just remnants of powdery mildew getting its ass kicked

Ah ok, i should try the milk spray. I currently have thrips AND pm, am so close of throwing her out lol
Did you wash the buds in peroxide?

Nutes day done this morning, beautiful weather indoor 21C and 41% RH
Week 11 flowering... Thinking of chopping buds that have 80% brown pistils
She looks like a mess!
Me thinks that vegging for 11 weeks 4 sativas gonna be a challenge lol
