Thanks for the tobacco seedlings, the promo pack & that something extra ;)

I switched to vaping years ago, but sometimes, i just feel like a smoke. My mom smokes full time, so she'll get more out of it than me.

That's my winter grow sorted, thanks again.

  2. Do they feed off thr plants? What do stink bugs actually eat.

They eat your plant. Particularly the young leaves & buds. I usually get them on my orange tree, feeding on the developing oranges, which die & drop off

  3. That’s correct, it’s the air line to the air dome. It’s not operational yet. Only comes on when the Autopot comes on in about a week.
Thanks for the info on LST.

That's what they say in the documentation, but it works just as well running the pump to your pot from day 1. Here's a quick pic of my 2 month old Neville's haze, running the pump 24/7 since day 1. She's about 2m tall & just more than 1m wide. In the 25l autopot XL.

Dont mind the droopy leaves, it's almost sunset when I took the pic. Lol4ef0e8541c265f3a240e6af25d8614a0.jpg

  4. Pity, I would take it if I was in Jhb. I have been using it since Aug with decent results. I put the hps off in so the pic doesn't make lines but this is 300w (150 led floodlight and 150hps)total in 1.2x1.2m using hortimix and their mpk bloom booster which is prob just Epsom. 3b886d993afd7f5ceecff99eef086954.jpgc5955cfd9c8e80e7ffaf79a8b21f49da.jpg

Actually, its MKP or mono potassium phosphate, it can also be used as a cheap, mild fungicide, for those that don't know. Epsom salts is magnesium sulphate.

I've substituted the hortimix B with their calmag, since they both have calcium nitrate, with very good results so far.

  5. What quantities should i be feeding?
About half a teaspoon calmag to 1l or 2l water ,when u usually water, & you'll see a noticable difference in 2 to 3 days. You dont need much, but I always buy a kilo & somehow it always just lasts 1 season with my 4 outdoor plants.

The cheap calcium nitrate magnesium nitrate from hydroponic.co.za is my go-to...

  6. I haven't grown Dynafem for a while now, but when I did, I had no issues.

12hr soak, then in paper towel in a warm spot. Within 2 days they're ready to plant.

  7. Thanks, I'll check them out. What's your take on those full spectrum 50w cob's?4dde20ffdc4bc8da86801cb8f5071045.jpg

Tbh, I'm not a fan of "driverless" LEDs. Capacitive droppers generate huge amounts of heat & that's just too inefficient.

I got some lights from a guy in plumstead that makes them, busy testing them with my 1st tent grow, so far so good. Only 110w wall draw, so I'll see how it goes. The 100w blurple bar I got from him is still running after 3 years. I might put it in the tent if they need a bit more light.

  8. I have read through another thread regarding keeping the plants warm during winter etc.

What will happen when it gets too cold? My plants are in the garage (Cape Town) at night without a heater and they still seem fine but Im not experienced at all so was just wondering as I dont really want to go through everything and then have them die when its time for flower.
Nothing will happen, except the cold slows growth & maybe more chance of mildew. I have a few plants in a tent on my back stoep & they seem to be doing just fine. They're protected from the elements & it doesn't get cold enough in CT to kill them

  9. I use to use that with my watering.....don't know why I stopped

Lol. Maybe because it's a mission getting the PH right. I mix & PH mine in a bucket, then add to my reservoir. Also PH up causes the silica to precipitate out, so I have to add more silica if I lowered the PH too much

  10. I've been using my SLX v1 for a few years now, no issues apart from being a bit hard to twist if I put too much in it. Almost nothing sticks to the teeth...
