  1. I order from Amazon whenever I can't find something over here or if its cheaper in the UK or the US. Just received 2 800w grow lights.

Orders usually take from 10 days to 2 weeks to arrive, including about 4/5 days customs clearance... so far I've had no issues

Morning Jimmy-z, thanks for that as it puts my mind at ease, what lights did ya get...

It was 2 yaetek 800w lights. One for a workmate. Looks generic... but at least it has a 1 year warranty and pretty good build quality. Once I'm properly set up for indoor, I'll get a Growant light or 2. I'm planning on only doing autos in the shed, but I have a lot of work to do before it's ready.

  3. The grass smell should all but disappear when it's dried & be gone entirely when cured for around 2 weeks. At 2 weeks cure, it will still be a very harsh smoke, but should be a pleasant vape or decent bong hit

  4. I thought it may be related in ending up having the same product or something similar. Good luck bud, hope someone can assist

You would end up with a similar product if you evaporated the alcohol off using a double boiler at between 75-80 C. Essentially reducing it to shatter/dab, then dissolving a bit of it in propylene glycol (PG)

My only real concern would be whether the "vape juice" would gunk up the coils on your mod after a short period

  5. I'm thinking light/nutrient burn. I would say, get a cheap EC meter so you know how much you're feeding them & raise the light a bit. I started with a PPM of around 400 & then upped it to 800-900 based on the advice of another forumite. My plants have been super happy since then...

JH420 does know a lot more about growing indoors than I do. 6.5 PH is a bit off. I aim for between 5.5 & 6

  6. Are you still feeding any grow? My previous round I made the mistake of cutting back on the grow way to early which definitely affected bud development

Sent from my ALE-L02 using Tapatalk

I continue to feed grow & micro during the entire life of the plant. I add bloom to the mix when I see some flowers & then ripener when the buds are a few weeks away from completion...

Only issue I've had is possibly root rot in my big girl from over watering. Fan leaves are yellowing & drying up much too fast... :( I might harvest most of her branches very soon even though the buds haven't stacked nearly enough...  the other 5 plants look far healthier

  7. Jimmy-z[/member] just read that it apparently holds too much water for cloning... could lead to stem rot

Some people have had success cloning in just a glass of water, so I'd take that with a grain of salt. :) I'd try anything to see what's more cost effective, but rooting gel/powder is the most important imho.

  8. Will sphagnum peat moss also be alright for cloning?

I've read that peat moss isn't good for cloning. I can't remember why but my guess would be its ability to keep a stable PH or something along those lines.

It's best to use a totally inert substrate like coco peat(contained in jiffy pellets) or rockwool cubes for cloning

I've used rockwool & tap water, which worked. I would think that peat moss would also work...

  9. If it stays on a veg cycle (18/6 , 24/0 ) the mother will stay alive. As soon as you flower her out then its over unless you re-veg her but that takes time but also worth it if you found a Bagseed gem.

Also depends on when you start your grow if you're growing outdoors. I'm going for my 2nd harvest of the smaller of my 2 monsters (started mid-May last year) & the bigger one re-vegged in the middle of flowering a few months ago... If you leave most of the small popcorn buds on the plant it'll provide some food for the plant to survive until conditions are good for a re-veg (I think)

@Umbra the peat moss should work fine for clones as long as it holds enough moisture.

  10. Shot for all the Replies, Much Appreciated!!

I am most definitely going for the FF soil!

    Greetz Erryone!

I have recently relocated to the Western Cape and need some input from any locals.

Is it legal to grow here or not, half the people I talk to say it is, or is it only that they dont really target guys here anymore?? Im not planning on a big one, 1 or 2 plants at most.

Where can I get the following?

    - Recommended and Trusted Local Seed bank, and also what is a Recommended Sativa strain that is also feminized?

    - Premixed Organic Soil/Soil less mix?

    - General supplies? ( I used to use Greenthumb up in Joburg)

    Shottallot!!

    R

Let me know what seed you're getting, I'm also looking for a pure sativa strain. I'm currently doing Royale Haze, which is mostly sativa. Cannabisseeds.co.za is my go-to for seeds fast. 24hr delivery with my last 2 orders.

For organic pre-mixed soil, I use freedom farm premium mix from hydroponic.co.za, they have a branch literally 5 mins from where I live. They can be a bit pricey, but they have everything I could want...

    Im looking at getting:

    - Original Amnesia (Feminized)

    - Santa Sativa (Feminized)

  13. Cloning is the way to go. Especially if you a awesome strain and not so awesome cash flow. Plus its super easy.

It really is easy & you don't need much to make clones. Ive used some rockwool cubes & a 2l bottle.... they looked a bit rough at the end, but the 3 cuttings all took root.

I so wanna try monster cropping, but can't bring myself to snip a growing bud. Lol

  14. Nice quick growth. Looks like you're going to have to up-pot them very soon. :D

I prefer to use 1l milk cartons for seedlings, gives a bit more time before they need a bigger home.

  15. Hey dudes,

Here is my Black Domina Auto XXL from Pachamama seeds

Been such an exciting grow as this thing is literally BLACK PURPLE. it looks like the Zerg from Starcraft II

    What you think?

Hey dude, looking very nice, finally someone growing autos on here, great stuff!!

    CG

    ;D

I'm doing my first attempt at some autos as well. Blueberry autos from green smoke room; I can only hope it turns as beautifully blue as the OP's

  16. Local seedbanks: cannabisseeds.co.za. green smoke room (SA local stock). Pachamama & maybe cg_terpenegenetics. CG is in the UK, but you can probably pm him here. I think he mentioned he has someone distributing his auto seeds in SA.

  17. Afternoon guys... So the question is/remains has anyone used GSR yet. Don't want to be the Guinea pig.. I've used cannabisseeds here in sa.

I've used them. Seeds shipped a few days late, but they gave me a white rhino freebie to make up for the delay. I ordered some auto blueberry seeds & got my order 4 days after placing the order. (SA local stock) I will use them again If they have something I can't find anywhere else & if I'm not in a rush. On the plus side, they do respond to email queries ...
