1. Hydroliq will soon be available at hydroponic.co.za I'm really keen to give it a try looks like a very interesting product for PM prevention and cure
I'd love to give that a try as well. So far copper soap has been my go-to for PM

2. @Jimmy-z thank you so much for taking the time to reply I’ll give those nutes a shot and grab a meter while at it, do you have any tips on how I could increase my gram/watt ratio for future grows as I really want nice nice nice uniform buds so I will be using a screen but there is much I don’t know. Any advice would be much appreciated.

thanks
Always best to start slow. I started with a ppm of 150 & gradually increased it to around 1000. Also, don't let the grow & micro mix before you add it to your reservoir. You might get a white precipitate that doesn't dissolve.

3. It's in my flowering tent, humidity around 27%. From what I read powdered mildew is caused by dry warm areas.

When I was at the coast, I never had PM, so this is new to me. Plans got a little burn from the peroxide, but nothing major. Leaves seemed to have cleared up and I thought it was gone. I should've climbed in with the loupe sooner.

Actually, its caused by cooler temperatures & high humidity. Some strains are also more susceptible to mildew...

4. Thanks Jimmy-z, that helps a lot.
So as far as I understand then, I'll use the calcs from the spreadsheet at https://hydroponic.co.za/detailed-dosage-breakdown-element-ppm-npk-ratio-hortimix-andor-ehg/. Aim for ~1000ppm at pre flower and work out the weekly dosage to build up to that.
But does that mean for flowering I should be aiming for ~2000ppm?

The highest you should aim for is 1000 ppm or 2 EC, A, B & C combined. Some plants can handle higher, but you risk burning them.

Very dark leaves, usually mean almost too much nitrogen, burnt tips usually follow if you increase your concentration. It's all about reading the leaves. Lol

5. Resurrecting this thread... What dosage & schedule should I be following for using hortimix for soil?
RedEye you say don't follow their guide, what do you recommend then?
So far what I've been told/seen is this, let me know if any of this is wrong?
What do you think, does that sound reasonable?
That chart wouldn't work very well with cannabis because of the shorter veg cycle.

By the time you hit pre-flower, you should be at 2 EC or 1000ppm or slightly higher, depending how the plant handles it, & then once in flower you reduce A & B, and start adding C. Tapering A & B off till harvest/flush

6. I know someone who has ordered and got all auto's when they were meant to be photo's
I've placed 3 orders with them. Next day delivery in CT. Auto blueberry with one order, but I still prefer photo period seeds... Autos are finicky.

7. Would love for this to be normal yellowing, but it seems to have spread quite a bit, and I'm only about 4 weeks into flowering. Here's some more images to show the spread of the yellowing.

Still nothing wrong, it's completely normal... the only large leaves you'll be left with at harvest, is the fan leaves on the colas. Almost all the other leaves will yellow & fall off before then.

8. How dry is the medium when you water? Which potting mix?

Are you feeding any nutrients?

A pic would help.

I've seen grows in perlite only, so I'd guess one of those questions above is where the problem is.

Edit: Some potting mixes contain added fertilizers, stay far away from them, they're likely to burn the crap out of your plants.

@Jimmy-z For now I only have 1 x tent to grow in, so I’m doing autos. Just bought 3 x auto seeds for R60 each from biltong and budz. I also have a super lemon haze from germinating atm as well as some bagseed from a greenhouse grow that hit pollen from somewhere. Females were Buddha cheese and Northern lights so it might produce ok bud.

Space is a bit of a problem normally so I will have to see if I’m ever going to have space for a mother

id rather just buy clones but eBay is fresh out of stock😂😂😂

There's always the seed/clone exchange. I don't have any issue giving away clones either as it's practice for me; and if I have good genetics, like the Bay 11, it keeps the strain alive, since I won't be able to afford those seeds easily again. Basically paying it forward.

10. 10 x auto seeds = R1800.00 ex postage
Why not buy a 5 pack, plant 2 & make clones to fill up your grow space & give to friends, etc. That's what I'm going to do with my Bay 11. I popped 2 & gave away 5 clones while I practise for next season ;)

11. Jimmy-z thats not bad going lol. I’m sure they are awesome but I don’t want to drop 1500 for learning to grow hahahhaa
Did the prices go up? I think I paid R1100 at the time I split my order with friends , so they paid me 250 per seed. Didnt hurt the wallet so much. Lol.

12. Jimmy-z yeah, it’s funny as we (mate and I order together) had a chat this am as I was looking to buy and had looked at cannabisseeds.co.za but they want you to take a 2nd bond in your house to get some bud. We changed to cape ape seeds after gsr didn’t work out and they delivered.
I just ordered a test order from the Biltong shop. So I’ll see if that arrives.

guess we just have to find what works for us.
Wish there was a clone bank lol
Cannabisseeds.co.za I got my order the next day. Ordered last year & the year before. I think one out of 15 didnt pop.

13. Sadly we ordered from GSR and received nothing. So henceforth it will be other banks.

I've actually never had an issue with them, apart from long delivery times. Ordered twice from them & the last order was R2400 for some Bay 11 seeds late Nov last year.

They also replied to my mails a bit late, but they came through eventually.

14. Well they kinda did get root bound due to not transplanting soon enought, it's only the single GDP plant with those deformities. I started this grow on the 9th december, so they'e almost 7 weeks veg roughly. I will be taking clones of all the plants this coming weekend and most likely give them another 2 or 3 weeks and push straight into preflower to sex them (I have regulars mixed in there).
Well, they all look really good & healthy. Even the mutant.

I'm lazy when it comes to my grow, so I start off in the final pot. And I plan to move completely to autopots at some point, when I have some cash to spare.

15. Thanks, one of the grand daddy's looks like a red headed step child. I am contemplating culling it. Its deformities are just pissing me off

That's interesting to say the least... I'm actually curious about the GDP. I couldn't get any when I was looking for seeds early last year, so I went with Bay 11 which is GDP crossed with Haze & is a sativa dominant strain.

How fast is your GDP growing? Mine is a pretty big bush in a matter of 5/6 weeks. In the pic, they're the 2 on the far right.fd0ab2b32506b37bd2cb5bb0154ddb06.jpg
