  1. Thanx felix. I think I will wait until your flowering stage is complete. Harvest will tell... Then we can talk. Sent from my D5503 using Tapatalk
  2. Felix, you sound like someone I can trust with LED light questions. I too have been researching my ass off. I have this R900 Video LED light that is battery powered and so insanely bright. I've had LED Modules made for fish tanks that outperformed fluorescent T5 tubes, I really think people have not giving LED a good chance, and most probably the ones who bought cheap Chinese versions. The other problem I keep seeing is that LEDS are being compared to HIDS in wattage. Aren't LEDS capable of producing the same brightness at a more energy efficient rate? That's thats what I thought atleast. I've been watching Youtuber "Cali Green" grow two indicas under a 300w LED. That definitely means LEDs are capable. I mean, HID has such a wide spectrum of light that the plant is not using. If reliable leds are a problem, it should be as simple as us investing in one grower who knows his electronics and have him build day Led lights with modules and drivers soldered together. Having said that, has anyone here done a grow from start to finish with ONLY led? Sent from my D5503 using Tapatalk
  3. Will only germinate them when I get a better setup going (end of year/early next year)
  4. This is such a cool idea...Stealth Freezer-in-the-Wendy Grow! Sent from my D5503 using Tapatalk
  5. Been reading this thread and researching as much as I can on LED's. I too really want to grow 1 - 2 plants at a time with only LED's because of heat and ventilation issues. LED's are the future!

Sup bro. I also just joined. Read as much as you can before you start buying anything Sent from my D5503 using Tapatalk
  7. Wise words Venom. I would also add that it's wise to start with seeds or clones you got from a friend rather then spending lotsa money on good seeds and then wasting them. Sent from my D5503 using Tapatalk
  8. Just got my order! Go GSR.. Sent from my D5503 using Tapatalk
  9. Ok maybe I should say what my aim is for the future. Since I don't smoke or consume cannabis, I would like to eventually be able to grow a perfect plant, ONE at a time and then harvest it for people with cancer or under going chemotherapy. That is literally all I want to do, and currently I only have space for one plant under my desk. Until I move next year, the best I could probably do is a CFL or LED. I can't do any ventilation or even hydro as is. I'm on a One plant One light diet. Sent from my D5503 using Tapatalk
  10. Snap...was hoping to not go the CFL route and just grow with LED's. That Cali Green dude makes it look so easy..
  11. Is it not possible to achieve something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Q3S7v1gTNI
  12. Yeah man, thats unfortunatly all the light I have for now. Will order one of these "UFO LED Grow Light "Mary Jane" - 135 Watt, 10.75 Inch, Cooling Fan" once I get more cash and space. This grow was really just a 'lets see what happens'. Also those LED shine at 600 Lumens which apparently equivalent an 11w CFL. But yeah, this really was just a by-the-way grow. What would you suggest I lack to get this thing growing properly?
  13. For those of you thats interested. Here's my first and current plant: If called this plant "Cousin Larry" - Mainly because its survived the worst circumstances IMO. Its first days were grown under an incandescent desk light bulb during the nights, and then moved to a window sill in the mornings before I leave for work. I literally was winging it when I picked these seeds up off my friends table and floor. I stole some potting soil from a different plant and mixed in a 80/20 ratio of potting soil to worm castings. The plant one day fell off the window sill, spilling all the soil and exposing some roots, I put it back expecting the plant to die since they're so sensitive. Alas it still grew... Eventually I bought this: Its a DIY LED Aquarium lighting kit, with 0.75w LED chipsets. Total of 7.50 watts at R189. Waterproof and gives off almost no heat at all. At the same time, I started reading extensively about the cannabis plant and already saw the errors I was making. I started fixing things and getting a setup more permanent which helped my plant growth a whole lot more. Had a make-shift box made from those dashboard sun protectors, and moved the plant into a bigger pot with LECA: So yeah, Cousin Larry is still alive and currently in his(technically HER) first week of flowering. Problem is, its growing under my desk and is already quite close to the top. I have no clue what to do about that, since i've been told Sativa's almost double in size during flowering.

  16. What about the greensmokeroom? I just ordered seeds from them before I joined here.... Am I in trouble?
  17. Looking forward to seeing this build, although I dont think this is considered micro grow
  18. Could anyone point out in the picture what plant signs show that this plant is not "a-grade"? For a first grow, it looks like the he did quite well. Im just as new to it, so what am I missing?
  19. Hey All Finally glad that I've decided to join a forum for this extremely facinating plant! First things first, I do not smoke or use marijuana in anyway. Im currently growing my first plant, purely for experimental purposes. I scrapped some Swazi seeds off a friends desk while he was preparing a joint and just started learning, reading and educating myself from there on. Some background info: - I have about 6 years of experience in freshwater planted aquarium maintance - I do quite abit of gardening and try to be as self-sustainable as possible (Growing spinach, potatoes, various herbs, chillies, tomatoes) - I have a small DIY 3 Layer Worm Farm - I have a passion for research and applying my knowledge So having said all that, I figured that growing cannabis was bound to happen - I only had no idea where and how to start. I find this plant extrememly interesting and very beneficial to humanity. Anyway, Hello to all and I look forward to reading and learning from all of you as I am by no means a know-it-all! Laterz
