  1. Thanks bud. I probably don't have space for 2 5l buckets though but I could put in whatever fits.. If it'll help. Also, I think@StickyD420 mentioned to me before that the light also needs to be at a certain PAR if supplementing c02, if I'm not mistaken Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk
  2. Hi guys, just need some advice again please.. Im a bit worried about my temps. My temps are constantly running at around 30deg when lights are on.. Im a bit concerned on what is going to happen when i tirgger floweing as ive read that anything above 26deg is bad... plus Spring/Summer is not even here yet. Any ideas on what i can do to control it? Putting an A/C in the room is out of the question. Perhaps i can try an air evaporator (but this will increase humidity.. my humidity is low though...) or should i just invest in bigger and better intake and exhaust fan? My current fans already should theoretically exhange the air 1.5 to 2 times a minute
  3. The manual says RH though, on the controller [emoji2369] Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk
  4. Interesting. With regards to percentages usually referred to like@TheUltimateNoob just also mentioned. Do those talk about RH or AH? Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk
  5. Thanks bro, no worries. it hasn't gone above 55% yet. I have a cheap hygrometer that says it's currently at 40% in there but the humidity controller is showing 25-30% Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk
  6. Here's a current pic bro. Theyre already quite bushy. Not sure when I should trigger flowering though.. Will assess the situation at the end of this week.
  7. Those ones are a bit too pricey brother. I just thought I could find a cheap solution that could even make a small difference.... Will see how it goes.. I haven't had any problems with humidity so far, but once my cupboard is like a forest I'm not sure what to expect lol
  8. Apparently you can even hang calcium chloride in a sock and put a bowl underneath to catch the water.. And I have 20kg of calcium chloride in the garage, so that's another option for me. Think I'm probably just gonna disconnect the controllers out put relays and use it as a standard hygrometer, so it's not a R500 gone to waste lol
  9. Probably just simpler to get stronger intake and exhaust fan, if it's even needed (Current fans are 90m3/h in a space that's 0.8m3).. Haven't had humidity problems yet but just planning ahead. Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk
  10. Wouldn't be a problem at all to run the device on a timer.. The only screw up is that the dehumidifier doesn't run off power at all. Basically you just hang it wherever you want it to dehumidify (unplugged) and then recharge it when the beads change colour. Might just leave like this for now without controller, or try out something else like this. https://www.bidorbuy.co.za/item/475966478/mini_dehum.html Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk
  11. Turns out that the dehumidifier is crap and doesn't run off power, but rather recharges the beads off power only lol.. Will just leave it in my grow space anyways and get a different dehumidifier for the controller Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk
  12. Wired up a humidity controller with mini dehumidifier quickly. Not the prettiest but I'm hoping it'll do a job here. Might add another dehumidifier later on if needed. Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk
  13. I've tied 2 of them down.. The Master Kush is still a bit short and stem is a bit rigid, so will wait for it to grow taller and possibly get a bit more of a flexible upper stem hopefully Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk
  14. Ok thanks bro, I will have a look tonight or tomorrow and see what I can do. So basically I should just tie down the main stem for now and then wait for the other branches to grow 3-4 nodes right? ? [emoji120][emoji109] Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk
  15. Hey there bud.. Will these twist ties do the job, or should I try to get the ones that are labeled as 'soft' Also, you mentioned that the side branches are too small and that I should wait for 3-4 nodes. Not sure exactly what you mean by that lol. That main stem has about 5 nodes.. Are there some other nodes I should be looking at?
  16. Thanks guys, ive been reading up a bit on LST and i think ill give it a go.. Just need to get some ties etc and will give it a crack! Not really too sure how best to do it, but im just going to tie the taller branches down and try to create an even canopy, allowing for max sections of the plant to be directly exposed to the light as i can.
  17. Been smoking since High Schoo (Probably started like 17-18 years ago.. How time flies!)l. Smoked everyday for years. We used to smoke 6 joints in the morning before school between 3 guys and after school we used to smoke until it was dark.. every day... Then i used to go home and smoke again a bit. I probably went through a good few years where the only time i wasnt high was the early parts of the morning lol. I never smoked too much "Indoor" as it was always too expensive and i never really noticed TOO much of a difference tbh so i always just bought "Greenhouse" . I even went through a spell at my first job where i used to buy "location zol' or 'ma-jut' from the hawkers outside which was full of seeds and shit quality.. so used to smoke it with DIY bongs and the high was terrible but intense if you smoked alot! but i kept smoking it anyways even though i wasnt enjoying it, or in the best place mentally lol.. . I literally didnt smoke a joint for that whole year and was just smoking whatever i could from a bong. When i did roll a joint, i used to put it in the bong and pull half the joint in one hit lol.. Been through alot of other drugs also but am clean of all those now. Long story short, those days are long gone and ive actually been smoking on and off for the past 3 years or so.. Been stopping and starting again in Holidays, December etc. Ive actually even stopped smoking cigarettes now and snoke only weed (Smoked cigarettes since i was 10) Then.. the lockdown came and ive been smoking full time again ever since. Bought some good quality stuff just before lockdown and started to build an appreciation for the good quality stuff. Problem was that the good quality stuff is a bit pricey.. so i thought that i could start growing my own batch with some of the extra T5 HO lighting i had around.. plus i also had a decent LED light (Gonna use it as a supplemental light when my babies start flowering).. Started doing some research and ended up here. Wanted to start off with what i had with little to no extra capital.. but here i am now like 8K+ later, hoping i can grow some good bud lol. Im enjoying the growing so far though and learning alot.. just very unsure on training methods etc. and whether i should be training.. what method etc. considering my space. Just topped last night, so im going to leave it like that and see what happens.. Maybe theres small inputs i can do here and there as the plants grow.. will see how it goes.
  18. @TheUltimateNoob Regarding LST.. Does it basically just involve tying the main stem down? Any tips or advice you can give me, by looking at the pics above on how i can tie it if i decide to go LST?
  19. Would never have thought so. Not even sure what im looking at, but it looks amazing lol
  20. Thanks brother. The humidity controller im getting is also a hygrometer, so ill use my current hygrometer for the drying area if needed. Already have a small kitchen scale and liquid PH test (Will invest in the pen afterwards) Would a smartphone with macro camera suffice as a substitute for microscope?
  21. On another note, i wanted to get whatever else i needed for the rest of my grow, until harvest and curing etc. Think im gonna still get: -humidity controller with a small dehumidifier -seal-able glass jars (Any particular one you guys recommend?) - @Prom previously recommended that i get boveda moisture regulating bags. Is this something that is used for curing? Or for general humidity control in the grow space? -Pruning scissor (Any particlar type?) -Carbon filter (Does size matter when it comes to carbon filter? Also,...anyone do a DIY filter?? Its just activated carbon as far as i understand...) Anything else i need to flowering and harvest, curing etc that i may be missing?
