Going to pump in air with an inlet fan
-
Fan doesn't oscillate fully, but it's blowing across cross the entire area... I can see the space blanket moving all over
-
How's the spacing here? Is it OK?
-
-
So it begins. Removed all the shelves and cut the top shelf to 150 strips on either side. Still alot of work to do
-
Yea I think I'll just monitor Temps and humidity and adjust as needed
-
Better yet, if I run extraction fans for 1 minute and then pause both inflow and outflow for 2 minutes (whilst still running oscillating fan obviously) that would still be 3 air changes every 6 minutes. Would it be OK to let it stand like that for 2 minutes with the same air circulating? Or would it result in any detrimental effects?

Question regarding ventilation.. I have read that the air needs to be completely exchanged at least every few minutes. Ive got a grow area that is 0.8m3 Extractor fans that run at 90m3/h So theoretically, if i keep the fans running 24/7 , it will do over 1 and a half change per minute, if im not mistaken.. Can i put my extractor fans on a timer, to only run every other minute? i.e. run for a minute, then rest for a minute and repeat.. This would mean approximately 3 air changes every 4 minutes..

Thanks!

I guess ill start with one fan at the bottom and add a second if needed..
-
Also, how would i deal with power failures, considering that my grow area is going to be a closed and insulated cabinet? How long can the plants survive without new air and circulation?
-
Quick question.. where should circulation fans and fan heater be placed? At the bottom , in line with pots and angled upwards? If so, would they stay at the bottom as the plant grows taller etc. or move as time goes?
-
Have changed alot of things since then though.. 3 x 10l fabric pots Freedom farms potting mix 150w LED grow ight 2 Extractor fans, 1 in and 1 out Oscillating fan heater Oscillating Fan Insulation for sound Space blankets for reflection temp controller etc wanted to spend 1k, but looks like its gonna be like 6-7k lol
-
How many pieces is this though? lol is it 6, or 12 or 24 ? Seems to me like it is 12 pieces. I did see this yesterday but i think its gonna be too pricey tbh. 15 pieces wont even cover one 1800 x 900 panel if im not mistaken

Yep will think about it and decide..
-
Think I have some strong 2 way tape lying around somewhere.. Should sbe fine I guess
-
Yep, good point you make about the permanency. If I could find strong enough magnets then why not? You know of any that won't break the bank? I think the 50mm foam would be too thick though won't it?
-
What's a good glue I can use to stick this insulation to metal or wood? Or maybe a strong 2 way tape?
-
So you'd agree with the 50mm option?
-
Maybe the best would be to just get the 50mm.. Then I can double up wherever possible..
-
I could do the insulation on the outside for 4 of the 6 sides i guess..
-
Just thinking now that if I use the 100mm, then I'm making my grow space really cramped as one of the sides is already just under 500mm without any insulation. Would the 50mm still work to a degree? Maybe double up on the 50mm on selected sides and keep it 50mm on the cramped length?

Thanks for all the help so far guys. Much appreciated Can't wait to get started

I think something like this is gonna do the job

Thanks! Will have a look around
