  1. With respect. The law is a very serious subject and that is why I take it seriously.
I have discovered subsequent to my initial comment, that the BILL I had in my possession was the leaked BILL of January last year. The 2020 BILL is revised and reads very differently, so I retract my initial criticism of the BILL.
So you in the clear now man? Nothing gonna catch you off guard hopefully.
    Apologies for the misunderstanding earlier.

The members here are passionate and will voice their opinion without fear from what I've seen - also, context & tone isn't generally portrayed well through text.

Hope you're all good. No hard feelings, and Happy Growing.

  2. Also remember, that a "Private Dagga Club" is meant to be a non-profit organisation, so any funds accrued by the club needs to go straight back into the club for maybe like events, electricity or paying the gardener to look after the plants for the club.

I wouldn't mind starting one of these really.

  3. Trying my gawd damn hardest man.
Lol, and we all are grateful, honestly

Honestly you know more about the laws than anyone I've engaged with before, I aspire to have that knowledge someday.

  4. A lekker added touch would be a name on the chest pex. As an optional extra for the hoodies.

I would be keen for a hoodie.

    Lowkey with some distinctive detail.

Would you be keen for custom names or just a brand one?

  5. Wouldn't be a problem at all to run the device on a timer.. The only screw up is that the dehumidifier doesn't run off power at all. Basically you just hang it wherever you want it to dehumidify (unplugged) and then recharge it when the beads change colour.

Might just leave like this for now without controller, or try out something else like this.

I get you. Might be better to just wait until you get another one.

The one on bidorbuy is better because it uses a hydrophilic substance to wick moisture out of the air instead of a heating element to dry the air out or something.

I say give it a shot, but you'll need to save up and invest in a proper dehumidifier if you want to run one all the time and keep a stable RH... I've had a smaller Chinese one, much more powerful that that rechargeable one... Didn't make much of a difference

The airflow of the dehumidifier you end up getting will make a difference as well because if your grow area has active extraction, you may be exchanging the air faster than the time it takes for the device to effectively remove the moisture - its the problem I had.

For something more effective, you may want to use the dehumidifier in the room you're growing in that the grow space is taking intake air from, or not too far from the intake perhaps... This way it will lower the overall intake humidity instead of trying to remove whatever little moisture it can in a high air-exchange environment.

  6. HEY GUYS,@DavidB IM also still waiting for my order bro.  I was wondering if there were other people still waiting. Hope it works out for you
There are many... Some of the orders have been reaching their destinations at random times, months after the order and things.
So it's best not to have high hopes honestly. Hate to be a downer.

  7. Banking apps mostly

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sweeeeet, I know someone that does banking software as well.

He's always got some code or the other on a screen or 2 whenever I go to his place.

  8. Turns out that the dehumidifier is crap and doesn't run off power, but rather recharges the beads off power only lol.. Will just leave it in my grow space anyways and get a different dehumidifier for the controller

Seems like battery management sensor shuts off the outputs when the device is being charged to save the batteries.

If you still wanna mess with it, you'll need to match the voltage of the batteries to a small power brick and solder the output wires of a USB from the power brick or the output wires from the power brick itself to where the batteries connect to the circuit. It'll bypass the BMS and give direct power to the board, simulating an infinite battery as long as its plugged in - that way switching the power on with a timer will turn on the device.
I'm pretty sure it'll fix the issue.

  9. I'm going to reserve comment.

Taking it as the bill affects something you were doing. Sorry man.

The implication for a bigger grow I guess would be you having to cull some plants. But if it isn't that, the only thing I could see you getting involved for was suspicion of intent to do some stuff...

Apologies if I'm wrong... But if that's the case you need a good story, not a defensive one. It was a risk either way if whatever you were doing still managed to get you into a fix even though cultivation and use was legalised.

  10.

Thanks man Yep I also dig the wiring, hope the epoxy holds up, but the wire is pretty stiff so should hold the shape well

I over-bought some things I didn’t end up needing, like many T-bolts and nuts and washers, 90 degree brackets, waterproof cable joiners, wrong guage wire, and too much wire. Taking all this out it was definitely cheaper though. And I can use the spares on future projects.

But I am super happy with it, very good spread and very bright. I just need to add a potentiometer for dimming

Nice, so it worked out cheaper and you have some extra bits now

Very nice build bro. One for the books. Although - you were right - I would dial it a bit back with the size of the extrusions

Looks like it was necessary for those strips though

  11. My day job is developing apps for mobile phones, so luckily the coding is easy for me, the hard part is getting my ass off the couch

And I have too many hobbies, as you can see in my office:

    I also have 2 3d printers

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Man, I'm in the market for a 3d printer at the moment.

I used to code a bit back in the day but never had a use for it at the time so I just lost interest... I also have a quite a few different things I'm into but right now I just wanna setup something to get an income of some sorts - which is why I'm launching an online store.

What kind of apps do you develop?

  12. I'll be creating a mother plant from a selection of 8 plants of the same strain, keep the mother in a veg tent, and use clones in the flower tent which I will then use the SCRoG method to get as much as the tent filled as possible.
Probably do the 8 plants in 40L fabric pots to allow for as much veg time as needed. Otherwise I would have done 12 plants in like 20L pots with a shorter veg, but I foresee that would be illegal now if the bill passes in it's current form
Would be interesting to compare a scrog to a mainline grow.

When I upgrade my space I'll be running 2 or 3 trees in flower at any given time.

I'll flower all 3 together for the first run, we can check the harvest compared to ScrOG. Not anytime soon though. Still need to get my light.

  13. You skip the 2nd nodes because they grow vertically and not horizontally.

It's the Nebula method that @TheUltimateNoob would also like to incorporate.

It's easier if you check the original guide here: https://www.growweedeasy.com/manifold

    Nebula method is a beast.

I've done it to my Blue Dream which was my first proper Indoor harvest... It set the bar so damn high for my expectations and standards now that I refuse to grow any other way.

My latest development is flippen weird though. One of the branches on the Inzane self topped and it threw my entire training off... This was before I snapped it... Oh yeah she recovered from the snap as well.

I'll show you guys when the light comes on... I don't know how to continue doing what I want to do

  14. Wired up a humidity controller with mini dehumidifier quickly. Not the prettiest but I'm hoping it'll do a job here. Might add another dehumidifier later on if needed.

Lol looks like a lot of my prototypes when I'm making things, no joke. If it works that way I don't really have a reason to change or upgrade it, most of the time I leave them looking like that and just use it as is.

  15. I've tied 2 of them down.. The Master Kush is still a bit short and stem is a bit rigid, so will wait for it to grow taller and possibly get a bit more of a flexible upper stem hopefully

Nice growth bro, that green looks so lush.

What other DIY electronic bits do you have around your grow space? Or even just in general...

I also make stuff to use and I'm actually thinking of doing a temp&rh sensor with maybe a soil moisture sensor as well so I don't have to guess when to water anymore.
I didn't learn the coding though so I'm getting my buddy to help me out with that.

    My god, well done bro.

That wiring is so pleasing to look at, thank you so much for doing it that way, lol.

I'm sure it will perform well

I'm curious though, what made it cost more?

  18. That's a nice looking cap, bro!
I do not wear caps often, but support is what it's all about!
If I was to wear one I would prefer the "baseball cap" design, if there is one. I am one for a more "professional" look, but with hoodies it doesn't matter too much as a hoodie itself is a little on the unprofessional side hahah. I am looking for a hoodie, though! So defs will support if hoodies with a nice design become available!
Do you have a name or a catch phrase of some sort?
    Thank you so much.
I was actually thinking of getting some snapbacks and some baseball caps so people can choose (I myself prefer the baseball cap). It'll also give me a feel for which sells more.

Its the reason I've held off ordering until Tuesday, just refining the first order a little.

I do have a name, and a brand logo - just haven't registered and trademarked it yet so sorry bro but I can't post it right now. I will next week though as the CIPC systems come back online tomorrow and I just need to transfer a few hundred bucks so I can register a company and then things will get going.

    Still need a slogan though.

Haha yeah it's a hoodie after all, but what I mean is like I need to look for someone that uses good quality material, then find someone that can do some quality printing within my budget ... But yeah it's all coming soon guys, it's been moving along nicely and I've got about 5 or 6 custom designs now (1 is the brand logo which actually will look nice on a cap).
