  1. Can't be foxtailing on that setup.. starved, hungry.. you still on the 50% dosage?
I would go max wattage on the board and stay at 50cm distance.. but pump it up! And same with nutes.. check the recommended dosage for flower and give em that!
I have increased to full nutes today. Will crank up the wattage now

  2. remove all the yellow leaves, plant already gave up on those. The left bud pic looks like foxtailing. What is your light setup right now?

Thanks for the advice. It's a 240W quantum that's at 130W and 50cm above the canopy.

  3. Still a bit sad even after this morning's water. I am just hoping this is a combo of light stress and it approaching harvest. I think there's a bit of fox tailing. I've raised the light to 50CM above it now. 20201230_101145.jpg20201230_101206.jpg20201230_101221.jpg

  4. Hi, is that your pH of the water before or after adding the nutes, in general pH drops after adding nutes to water

Sent from my F5321 using Tapatalk

That is after adding the nutes.

  5. What's your temp and rh like BTW?

Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk

Temp is around 27 but did get up to 29 on one or two days last week. RH has been between 50 and 60.

  6. I do, every watering my plants get nutes or if I have the blumat going then they get nutes constantly as the coco dried out which is generally small amounts of feed multiple times a day.

Plants love it. Never had issues with salt build up either.

Good to know, thanks! Will see how it goes. Really just want the leaves to stop drooping.

  7. That is a bit high, I always have my pH a bit lower.

However from what I recall, nitrogen isn't locked out very easily and I doubt at 6.5 but may not be a bad idea to lower your pH.
I aim for a range between 5.9 and 6.2 generally.

Perhaps do your next feeds at 5.9 and monitor from there and see if it improves... Although you are going into flower now so changes may not be noticed as easily due to no new leaves.

Thanks for the advice. I was thinking of watering a day later and skipping nutes on it. Do you water with nutes on every water with your coco grows?

  8. I don't really grow many autos but I do not dilute nutes and I do not flush either and I also use coco.

I believe autos do use slightly less nutes though. Plant looks as if it still has a few weeks to go before its ready for harvest.

What nutes you using and what EC are you feeding them?

Edit: What PH do you give to your plants?

Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk

So I do not measured EC, I do not have the tool to do it. I use General Hydroponics and follow the chart for coco. My PH is around 6.5, has been throughout the grow. Grow has been pretty great up until now :-/

  9. They consume quite a bit less end flower.. like they consume way less in the beginning. I never water before I checked the pot.. simple habit. Lifted the Gelato this morning.. gets it in the evening, just not light enough this morning.
At the end of the life cycle, the plants will remove the resources, they still want to use, and yellow leaves out and let the leaves die. But that usually starts bottom plant. When a Auto goes end life cycle, she even does that to the sugar leaves. Then you know.. better check for harvest asap.
Went quick over to Fastbuds to check the C4 data. Took a bit longer as they changed their website.. duration is now "Flowering".. what makes it a bit silly to read, Photos have a flower time. As the Gelato has also "Flowering Time" 9 weeks. Must be plant cycle. 11 Dec you made the post, that your plants are about 6 weeks old. we are 2 week plus.. so 8 weeks in.. you are coming to the end. That yellowing might just be that the plant gives up on the fan leaves.  But they still look very heavy to me.
Who told you how to fertilize your plants? Any reason why you gave 50% of the.. I guess recommended strength on the bottles?
Awesome thanks for the detail. Yip just over 8 weeks. Pistils are still so white and pointy, was thinking might be another week or two for flowering. My first coco grow and when reading online it sounded like diluted nutes with every water is what you should do

  10. Your leaves look very heavy. I am no Coco dude.. you might wanna suck up to @CreX or @PsyCLown
I agree that Nitrogen deficiency will yellow your leaves. BUT.. that happens on all the leaves, also the fresh grown ones. Yours look green to me.. what points to to wet.

The weird thing is that it only really started looking like this yesterday which was before I watered, I was hoping the watering would perk it up. It's been looking good with my every 3rd day watering the whole way so far.

  11. Oh I never thought of that. Well next water is Tuesday will give it a skip and see on Wednesday. I do check about knuckle deep and it does seem dry. I am using coco. Would over watering cause yellowing?

Looks a little like a nitrogen deficiency from what I have seen online

  12. Hey bro. Can't say I had any issues with drooping at end of flower, leaves were always perky.
Are you using any nutes? How often do you water?
Yip I am, every third day with diluted nutes for each water. I use 50% nute mix and 50% water

  13. Things seem to be going well with the switch to a quantum light. There was a bit of curl and yellowing of the leaves, which I think was ligjt burn related. I have raised the light since, does not seem to be getting worse. Buds are starting to dense up :D

  14. @Slartibarfast you do not have to use that metal wire thingy.

You could wrap the rope ratchet around the rope and then connect one end to the one side of the heatsink and the other end to the other side of the heatsink.

Otherwise use 2 of those metal wire things to connect between 2 sides of the heatsink and then just connect the rope ratchets to that... if that makes sense? That will help give you some extra headroom and give you more stability with hanging the light.
Thanks, been thinking about doing that today. Plant seems happy but still would prefer to have the option of raising the light higher.

  15. Well, are your plants in veg or flower? How old are they?

Also 35cm above canopy should be fine but doesn't sound right that it's the highest you can hang the light - perhaps send a picture for us to see. How tall is your tent and your plants?
Increased the power a bit now. Tent is around 1.8M and the plant is flowering, about 7 weeks in now and it's an Auto20201217_173056.jpg20201217_173107.jpg20201217_173133.jpg

  16. Quantum board received :D I went with the 240W. What power should I be using it at? Currently have it set to 95W and it looks pretty damn bright.

Also, what height would you recommend I have it above the canopy? With the mounts provided the highest I can get it is 35CM above the canopy.

I’m also using those from lightitup. Doing an informal comparison between 600w HPS and 480w QBs.

Ill know in 2 weeks time, but it’s looking good for the QBs👍🏻

That's one awesome looking setup! Keen to hear how it goes
