Hi, I have been trying to germinate this strawberry cough seed with no success. Followed my normal strategy of popping it in water till it cracks then placing it in an eazi plug for it to sprout from.
So far it doesn't seem to want to sprout, and when I check beneath the soil this is what I see. Any advice? Is this little guy a write off?

The Hydroponic shop has some lights. You can also get from Amazon, delivery typically takes 2 weeks.

Okay great, I am currently dealing with a pest issue but going to be sorting that out this weekend ahead of my next grow.I don't have anything additional, I don't feel it is an issue.
Like small pests such as thrips could possibly fit through but its unlikely that will happen. You'd need to have a pest issue in order for that to happen.

Awesome, thanks those Jardin Light Baffles look interesting. Thinking about getting 2 for intake, should I get bug nets for them too or is the mesh fine enough to prevent insects getting in?I agree that an intake fan is a waste, as long as there is some way for passive air intake (I like using the Secret Jardin light baffles, they're filters and allow for better air intake without any light leaks).
Air circulation inside the tent is important, a cheap solution is to get one of those box fans - they're easy to mount and help circulate the air as it has the cover on the front which turns to direct the airflow around the tent .
A single fan for exhaust is sufficient too, it's not a large tent. I assume you have a 4" or 6" fan, which should be perfect.
Airy bud as mentioned are likely down to light and/or genetics.

I have a BESTVA 600W full spectrum LED that I got off Amazon, the reviews were pretty good. I don't have a carbon filter.
Cool, I will try and get a fan for inside the tent then, any recommendations? I see the clip on oscillating fans seem to be sold out on all the online stores I've checked.

Hoping someone can give me some advice on a fan setup for a 1m x 1m grow tent. I currently just have an extractor fan and 1 flap open for intake. I have been playing with the idea of getting another extractor fan to use as an intake fan and maybe a fan for inside the tent.
Would this new setup be overkill? I have been finding my buds to be quite airy. Any advice would be appreciated.

I've personally bought from Cape Ape and Trophy Seeds with great results. Not sure of Cape Ape's sources but I know Trophy Seeds imports some of their seeds. I have mostly bought from Cape Ape though and all my grows have gone great

Still just vegging, actually a reveg. Looks like mostly the lower leaves have been affected. Thinking of just tossing this plant and cleaning out my tent

An update around concern for future grows in my tent. I have a chilli plant in my tent and am finding these tiny yellow pests in the flowers. I really want to leave my chilli plant in the tent. Any suggestions on some sort of fumigation that can be used in the tent with the plants in it still?
I'm planning on starting 2 new grows soon and want to make sure the tent is pest free before that.
Looked a bit closer on my cannabis plant and found some :( Used a microscope and I think they might be thrip. Does anyone have any suggestions with dealing with them in a grow tent?
I'm thinking of just tossing the plants in the tent and fumigating it before I start my new grow.

Actually for my girlfriend who smokes. She has tobacco but no paper. Smoking cigarettes really helps her stay calm with her BPD.

Hi, a bit of an odd one and sort of cannabis related. I had a marigold plant that was outside that I brought into my tent. Recently when I was pruning it I found that it had some weird little yellowish pests. Needless to say I took it out and sprayed the tent with a neem oil solution. I am worried that my other two plants may have gotten affected but so far I fan not see anything on them.
What I would like some help with is possibly identifying what they are and what DIY recommendations there are to get rid of them.
Sorry the photos are not the best quality but they are so tiny. Kind of look like worms but they do have legs.

Make sure you have a hygrometer to monitor your temp/humidity and good airflow in your grow space if indoors.

Awesome, thanks! I've heard they're great for clones. I usually use freedom farm classic for soil germination. I heard you can cut off some of the edges of the plug to cover the top. I don't have any form of propagator, is it needed?I love eazyplugs they work excellent for clones.
I also plant straight into soil and get good results except lately when I used freedom Farm classic it's too strong for seedlings so I got some seedling mix.
My next round I'm going to plant them into eazy Plugs and cover the plug with a thin layer of seedling mix as its difficult to get the holes closed without messing up the plug

Hi, has anyone used Eazy Plugs for seed germination? How well did it work for you and any advice on using?
I usually just go straight to soil with decent results. I have 2 seeds left of a CBD strain that was quite expensive and don't want to risk failure

Just an update, flowering quite well

I think this strain does have a bit of purple in it, so it makes sense for the veins. The stems are a little purple though, but it was like that from sprout already.
Yip, I am growing a Carolina Reaper next to it Should I take any caution?
I fully agree, my last auto I ordered online was about a month off from the indicated time to harvest.
Thanks for all the input guys

This is the Charlotte’s Angel CBD strain. Pretty much watering it and feeding it the same as my last Auto. Hoping it isn't a deficiency, I'm feeding it using the preflower recommendation for soil with the GHE products. The water PH is good from I've checked. Thanks for the suggestions :D

Seed Germination Issue
in Indoor Growing
Posted
Thanks, it did crack open in the water after 1 day then I put it in the plug. All I can see is a bit of white of what I think should be the stem but it never broke through the soil.
I have started germinating another in a moist plug. Hoping it will break through by the weekend
