  1. Saw this article on News24 as well. Why the hell is this news?
  2. Sure is patience Toby but I'm sure the patience will pay off! Is that a MIDI keyboard in your pic there ?
  3. Yip I am. Totally get you there!
  4. Very healthy looking lady there Totemic! Can't wait to see the bud she produces
  5. My local Oasis factory shop sells RO water for R1 a litre so money isn't too much of an issue. I'm not really fussed about how clean RO water is, although that's a clear benefit. It's just so much easier to manage PH . It has a PH of 6.0 and that PH doesn't change much at all when adding nutes. Haven't used PH down in ages as a result
  6. Started giving problems so I reverted back to the original
  7. Giving the plants some time in the sun thanks to Eskom... Notice how the TBH on the far left is darkening nicely after the Epsom salts from yesterday
  8. Could be a PH issue sir as I noticed a PH of about 5.3-5.4 on the run off a short while back. I did a light watering to the TBH yesterday with some epsom salts though and I'm noticing a difference this morning. What's your opinion on RO water?
  9. 12 days from cloning and they were ready to be potted :thumbups
  10. Yea Toby pretty much that. Cutting - Dip in Root powder - Into Jiffy Pellet - Into Humidity dome which I keep humid by just giving a good spray with RO water every 6 hours or so
  11. Hi all I've made a slight change to the uploading method and I'd like your feedback. It now enables you to integrate your attachments into the post which the previous uploader lacked. However this one lacks some of the more convenient functionality of the previous. Should we go back to the previous way or stick with the new? Let me know.
  12. Finally the next update! Growth rate is starting to pick up nicely since the cloning and topping. All clones successfully rooted and have been potted, their growth is also coming along well :thumbups I really thought cloning would be a pain in the anus for some reason but it isn't at all to be honest... totally hassle free I transplanted the B2B into her final 25L pot and I'll be doing the same to the TBH soon. The AMS is lagging a bit behind because she was struggling in the early stages after the topping. The King's Kush I stuck outside as that plant was a waste of space in the tent, all 3 clones overtook its growth so that was the final straw for me My one concern, although not major, is the light green colour of the TBH and B2B. I'm currently feeding with a PPM of 700-750, surely that's enough for the current size? I am supplementing with Horti's CalMagN+ B2B Clone

  20. These pointers are pretty much related to saving electricity in general but will definitely come in handy if you find your electricity bill is getting excessive since you started growing. These pointers are obvious but believe me some probably are unaware [*]Convert all your household light bulbs to energy saving bulbs such as Fluorescent, CFL and LED. Your ultimate goal should be LED [*]Switch your geyser on for about an hour or two a day and then switch it off. Most of us only really need the geyser for showering or bathing so plan your geyser on-time around when those activities are going to happen and then switch the geyser off. Getting a timer for your geyser would be ideal! [*]If using HID, keep track of your bulbs age and time it has been used. Older HID bulbs reaching the end of their lives will cause a ballast to draw more power to keep the bulb at the same intensity This is a working thread in progress. Others feel free to provide your input on this matter :thumbups
  21. This has been circulating on FB Truly sickening to think of the other consequences of this besides the obvious destruction of cannabis fields and the only source of income for some. Have a look at the FB post here
