  3. A little insight into the GHS strains I'm gonna be growing if anyone is interested. Kings Kush AMS http://youtu.be/EbGmLP72caA
  4. Bought myself an aquarium pump and plan to pump water from a 100L container(reservoir) using a timer. My main worry is whether all the nutes mixed into the water will settle at the bottom of the reservoir over time which is where the pump will sit. Perhaps I might have to raise the pump up a little bit in the reservoir to avoid any nutrient burn issues. Any suggestions?
  5. Thanks for that TK. Powerful talk indeed
  6. This is how low it's getting... DAGGA CULTIVATION FOUND IN BELLVILLE WARDROBE Bellville police on Tuesday found pots with dagga plants as well as a "big" tree being grown from a suspect's wardrobe. Captain Fienie Nimb, spokesperson of this police office, said: "On 2 December at 20:00 the crime prevention unit received an anonymous tip-off about a possible dagga plant standing in a windowsill in a block of flats on the seventh floor. "On arrival at the flat the members spoke to the owner of the flat. He confirmed that his son liked to plant plants, but he was not aware that it was dagga," Nimb said. She said the officers found one pot containing three dagga plants on the window sill. It was, however, when they continued their investigation of the premises that the officers found the "big dagga plant inside a wardrobe in the son’s room", Nimb said. "It was connected to a water filtration system and globes were fitted to heat the plant," she said. The plants were confiscated and the 26-year-old man arrested and sent to court for dealing in dagga, Nimb said. The two constables attending to the arrest were Lindall Ockhuis and Johnay Fielies, Nimb said. - TygerBurger http://www.tygerburger.co.za/214582/news-details/dagga-cultivation-found-in-bellville-wardrobe
  7. Hi Folks Finally I'm able to get my next grow going and my first on this forum!! For now I'm going to be growing out 5 seeds. These are a collection of freebies from seed banks and seeds from friends. The reason I'm growing out these "less valuable" seeds is because I'll be going away on the 21st and will be trying out my auto watering system I've devised for the 2 weeks I'm going to be away. I popped the seeds on Tuesday & Wednesday this week (4 days ago) Here's the strains I'm growing: 1 x Thunderbud Haze (Holy Smoke Seeds) - Regular 1 x Kings Kush (GHS) - Fem 1 x Black To Black (Soul Breeders) - Fem 2 x AMS (GHS) - Fem Growing Medium - 60/40 coco/perlite Nutrients - Nutriplex Trio I'm starting the seedlings off under 2 x 85W CFL's and will be moving them to my grow tent in a week or 2. The grow tent will comprise of: 1 x 400W HPS 1 x 5" intake 1 x 6" exhaust 1 x Oscillating Fan All seeds have germinated and are now in their mini pots. The 1 AMS seed took a very long time to germ, so long that thought it wasn't going to so I popped another AMS only to find both seeds germinating in the end. Which is why I've got two of those now As you will see all but the AMS seeds have broken the surface, they should pop up tomorrow. Started the seeds off fully emerged in water for 24 hours and then moved them to cotton wool until the white roots have emerged Then into the pots below Till next time!

Fire you also have the option of Nguni seeds locally. Otherwise go overseas and use VCpay if you don't have a credit card.
  9. Sounds brilliant! Would love a Cape Town premiere too please
  10. Great to have you on the forum engineer! Welcome!
  11. Looks like we certainly didn't pull enough interest this month so this competition will now run through December as well. This was decided together with Hydro Herb Africa and they will be sponsoring another prize on top of the current prize. We will announce that prize very soon so keep checking. Hopefully we can pull a lot more entries next month!!! Come on lads and ladies!!! :sillyass
  12. They really coined it while it lasted! Wonder how long they were operating for...
  13. We'll push the closing date till 12pm Tomorrow. If we have less than 5 entrants I'm afraid we might have to push this comp through December as well. With another prize added on top...
  14. Hmmm strange... Perhaps some feedback might help! Why have you guys not chosen to enter this month's comp? Is the prize not that appealing? Are you concerned about safety? Let us know here please.
  15. It hasn't disappeared Mac. The account is still on this forum. Why the new account?
  16. They have to use the term "labs" don't they
  17. Didn't see any news like that. Tried to find it but came up with nothing... Big busts do tend to pop up every now and then. It's worrying but those are big ops that draw a lot of attention. It shouldn't alarm us small scale growers
  18. Nice looking grow there ODD! Definitely need to upgrade on your fans I reckon.
  19. Newsroom speaks to the former managing editor of the South African Medical Journal Prof. JP Van Niekerk
  20. A video of the last bit of Marc Emery's speech at the cannabis cup 2014. He also makes a special mention of the dagga couple who've been attending the cup this year
  21. Thanks 420. Please remember the date on paper rule Only one plant can be entered per member. The plant can be photographed and shown as many times during the month as the member wants.
  22. Very quiet in these parts! Are there any members who are going to place entries? Entries close on Friday at 8PM! This prize is valued at R600-00 folks so these nutes aren't to be messed with!
