I don't know how they are going to fair considering the age of the seeds and that its autoflowers. Anyway I'm going to make the best of the situation.

@Toby I've checked out your 12-1 schedule. Will definitely try it in future!

Easy Ryder is stretching a bit. I initially had it for 3 days under HPS light and then I swapped it with a 150w Cool white CFL. The Chiesel seems as if its going nowhere. She sprouted but just stopped growing. I think that seed might be too old.

Attached are pictures of my 2nd tent that I setup for the autoflowers. My other tent is housing "April Fool" who has a lot of issues which stunted her growth but she is back on the mend and flowering is now in the 5th week.

Update day 48 of 73:

So the Chiesel seedling just stopped growing after germinating and died a quick death. The Easy Ryder survived and is doing ok, measuring at 20cm. She had a little bit of heat stress (max 33 degrees celcius) due to few days of summer like weather. The current humidity is 23% with a temp of 27 degrees . She's flowering but progress still seems slow. :poke 25 days remaining and the flowers are still very small. Maybe I'm just being a bit impatient...

I'm still patiently and nervously waiting for my seed order from Bonza:yipeeee

Update day 51 of 73:

Easy Ryder doing good!:poke Considering that I thought it would turn out to be a small lollipop.;)

Trichomes are starting to cover the leaves. She's very bushy which means a lot of the flowers are not getting enough light. I'm too scared to trim leaves because of possible shock which she wont recover from in time.

Update Day 59 of 73

All is good, she's still the same length but much bushier with very large leaves that are being covered with trichomes, it seems disproportionate to the overall size of the plant. Similar to a bonsai I guess! It seems to me that it still has a long way to go before the buds are fully formed. All the leaves are still very green with the exception of some of the tips. When does the leaves start yellowing? 14 Days seems to be a short time to complete her growth. I'm actually learning so much about autoflowers during this process.

Are you still using the Biobizz range in pure coco? I feel I have come across some reading which indicated that the range isn't really suited for growing in just coco with no other amendments

Yes I'm still using the Biobizz range with EM prosoil. What other

Additives do you think I should add? If you come across the info, pass it on. For now that's all I have.

Hmm I dont have info on hand....it's just from a while back from reading though a lot of threads it just seemed molasses based nutrients dont really go so well with straight coco unless its like a mix with peat moss, worm castings etc....

I was just thinking given your clean set up, something seems to not be gelling and was wondering if it is not the Biobizz...

I wouldn't judge the Biobizz on the autoflower in coco. Next, I will try the Biobizz with a Feminised seed in coco and Nutriplex side by side to get a good comparison. I heard good things about both Biobizz & Nutriplex but I'm still a newbie making mistakes, so I don't think I the nutrients are too blame (yet). I have yet to receive any news on my seeds that I ordered from Bonza, sadly it looks like a loss for me.

It's been nearly 30 days since the seeds were shipped.:-hairpull I will have to try a different strategy. :sillyass

Ah that would be awesome to see a comparsion actually!

Shit man sorry to hear that about the Bonza order....but maybe there is still hope, could be caught up at the post office if they still have a backlog or something....Unless it was lost along the way you should still receive some notification about it. Email Bonza maybe...they have always been excellent with communication when I contact them. Are u cape town side?

Yes I'm based in Cape Town. I'm hoping too that there is a backlog at the post office. I think I will follow your advice and send Bonza an email even if its just to inform them.

You can even go onto their site and use their live chat option on the bottom right, those agents are also usually very helpful and informative.

Update: Day 69 of 73

No extra vertical growth but lots more trichomes and the buds are looking much better. Nice smell but not pungent at all. The leaves started yellowing 4 days ago which means she's nearing the end of harvest. I do suspect that she would surpass day 73 but I will just have to wait and see.

Update Day 78 (of 73) 5 days overdue.

She's ready to be harvested. :rastabanana  The last watering I did 7 days ago with fresh tap water to try and flush her. I cut away all the large yellow leave. I can confirm that this strain has a very low odour. I didn't have to scrub the air. It's only when you are up close and personal that you get a nice sweet spicy fruity aroma. I'm yet to pinpoint the exact smell.

I don't have a decent magnifying glass to check the colour of the trichs. I'm assuming that she's ready because she's past her due date. Next step is obviously to chop, dry and cure her. Any helpful tips?

Final Update - Smoke Report

What a fantastic autoflower strain to grow. Even though it was very easy to grow, I still made some more small mistakes along the way. The seed was bought by GSR about 2 years ago and I only used it 18 months after receiving it. I reckon the age of the seed played a big role in the slow growth that I experienced. The other autoflower seed, the Chiesel survived shortly after germinating but just stopped growing a day or 2 later.

My end result was 10.4 grams after drying. I cured it in an airtight glass jar for 30 days in darkness, burping the jar every alternate day.

Yesterday morning I rolled my first joint. What a smooth smoke, no cough and no green taste. She has a very sweet honey fruity like taste and aroma. Now I'm onto my next grow...

Good job. Next time, try eliminate any form of stress, plant in the finishing container and go easy on the watering. Auto's are a pia. Age of  seeds shouldn't make a difference if stored correctly.
