I wish I stayed on a large property. Sadly I'm stuck in suburbia.
It is a great strain. A lot of work has gone into this lines parents by Sannie, and a line worth working further as I am.
There are so many small pheno variations with slightly different terpene profiles, yet all the buds are characteristic rock hard little balls for buds. Not a massive yielder because of this trait, but some really strong, sit you right down kind of bud.

In about 6-8 weeks from here. The more sunny days the sooner.
-
Dont feel bad man. Hermies are part of the territory, and happens to all growers.
You would be surprised how good that bud still will be after proper curing. That will also get you a ton of oil hey.

Yeah its a bit late for a CT outdoor. Gets too wet into winter.
-
Swazi landrace takes anything from 4-6 months to finish.
The only thing to do is watch the pistils. Once most of them have browned, the calyxes will start swelling. Only start checking trichomes once this swelling (Senescence) has reached the top of the buds.
If you dont have a loupe, get one.
On a landrace you should be aiming for mostly amber.

See the pm I sent you. Just stick to the ratio, and add accordingly until you get to the ec you want.
I will add though, that an ec of 1.8-2.0 is very high IMO. I hardly push the ec over 1.6 ever, and I get happier plants. Remember the plant will only take up what it needs, and trying to supercharge the res, won't make the plant perform better than it's genetic potential.

What are you currently using for fertilizer?
If it is hortishops A+B + MKP, then cut B out completely. It is Calcium Nitrate, and while you are also cutting out Ca, it won't really affect your plant in this stage. A also has a fair bit of N in it, but the B, which is Ca(NO3)2 has a crap load more very freely moving N
-
Those calyxes still a bit of swelling to do IMO.
I would also do some flushing. Those claw leaves look to be N toxicity. I would cut N out completely for the last 2 weeks.

THanks.
Yeah, I have an extensive veggie garden of about 200squares. Cannabis is one of my staples, just like all the other veg I grow for consumption.
The pallet of greens that a veggie garden has is lekker camouflage. My plants aren't necessarily hidden, but simply blend into the background.

An update on these ladies.
Kept 3 females, and they are just starting to flower. These will remain quite small because I planted them so late, but they are 60cm tall now.
-
420,
I think all lady bugs are predators, but the most active is the normal red and black one's. I've seen a lot of white and black one's too, but they are a smaller species.
-
Now is a good time to get in under them and do some cleaning up. Removing those little branches that don't get any sun etc. Get a bit more air flowing and a bit more penetration. Also helps a lot with a hermie issue. Often those lower branches are the culprits.
-
Lady bugs are out of season now. With a bad infestation I would recommend Pyrol. Neem works well as a preventative measure for future outbreaks.
-
looking good there. My fingers are just starting to cramp on your behalf already.
-
hope you get it sorted. keep us updated hey.

About 20-25cm hey. The cab was also in my garage, where my ambient room temp averaged 18C. I found that with the light on, I got a 9-10 degree rise in temp.
-
You could try adding more extraction, and/or adding an active intake. What is the temperature in the room itself?
-
Man, these last 2 days have been heaven sent here in CT. It's kak hot for us, but for plants under the Sun, it's a turbo boost!
-
It's really too late for me to do anything with them. Their growth already shows that they will flower the moment they are mature enough. Basically growing in 12/12, well almost.
-
I use the nutriplex range now, and I have also noticed low ppm readings. I have however resisted pushing the ppm, and have stuck to the provided schedule, and it's working great. At full strength Veg feeding I get 650ppm, and I'm not expecting it to go over 1200ppm in flower.
I also go more by what the plant is telling me, and even with these low ppm readings, the plants are growing and responding real well. Much better than pushing normal AB + MPK nutes at high ppm's.
-
Yeah, and worse is those poor people. Those people live off the land there, and that spraying is killing their food too. It's rubbish that that poison only kills cannabis.

Been a while since I posted up an update.
Unfortunately the MSxJ turned out male, but below are how the new lot are doing.
Already in its spot.

The lucerne pellets you can get at any pet shop. The Talborne I got from Builders warehouse nursery section.
