INDOOR CRAFT SOIL AUTO GROW

Greetings and thanks for stopping by. I will be growing the following plants in the next couple of months:

AUTO NBA DIESEL (Bulk Seed Bank)

50% SATIVA – 30% INDICA – 20% RUDERALIS

THC: 13-17% CBD: N/A CBN: N/A

GENETICS

NBA Diesel x Ruderalis

FLAVOUR

Auto NBA Diesel has a spicy flavour and aroma, with notes of exotic fruit, earth, pine wood and Diesel.

EFFECTS

The effect is powerful, long-lasting and rather physical. Diesel lovers will certainly enjoy this Autoflowering cannabis seed.

FLOWERING INDOOR

9-10 weeks flowering time with a yield up to 500 g/m². Can be flowered at any photoperiod between 12 and 18 hours of light per day. 11-12 weeks total crop time.

This strain is a hybrid of the classic New York City Diesel crossed with the awesome Lowryder #2. Like all the newer Autoflowering hybrids, it has an improved yield and better flavour compared to many of the original Autoflowering strains.

AUTO CARAMEL KING (Bulk Seed Bank)

5% SATIVA – 75% INDICA – 20% RUDERALIS

THC: 20% CBD: 1,6% CBN: N/A

GENETICS

Caramel King x Ruderalis

FLAVOUR

Auto Caramel King has a sweet flavour and aroma, with notes of caramel.

EFFECTS

Fast hitter, it has a very relaxing body-stoned effect.

FLOWERING INDOOR

8-9 weeks flowering time with a yield up to 450-600 g/m². Can be flowered at any photoperiod between 12 and 18 hours of light per day. 10-11 weeks total crop time.

Our three-way crossbreed of Blue Black x Maple Leaf Indica x White Rhino was grown on a large scale. One particularly heavy yielding specimen was chosen out of many and we crossed it with an Autoflowering Northern Lights hybrid. The results are very interesting plants with a superior character. They have a good yield of big sized buds and a medium height. Due to the dense flowers plants can be susceptible to mold but if grown early enough in the season, there will be no problems. Recommended for beginners and experienced growers.

Welcome! Nice to see someone new. 🙂

It's a bit quiet around here. I think maybe this part of the forum should be made public and not hidden from regular (non-member) browsers.

Sweet grow light! Cabling job looks pretty decent, nice and minimal, clean. 👍

I have usually had a good strike rate but I have had a problem with these NBA Diesel seeds. I bought two and neither have sprouted. The caramel king has a short tail. I'm waiting for it to get a little longer before I pop the seed into soil. I am trying to get hold of the seed bank to see if anything can be done. I have plenty of regular seed and some fems, but I'm now out of autos.

Sprouts people, sprouts!
Sat 17th Dec update

I have two embryonic weed plants as of today! That was quick. They went into paper towel on 14th Dec. Two days later they had good sized tails and I put them into their starter pots. Overnight the little ones popped their heads out of the soil.

1672070042_Screenshot(266).thumb.png.9123a74aec9d610b7d4ca174e492acc7.png

I have decided to bottom feed them at this stage as it will be easier to keep the soil moist while I am away. I will use a bbq skewer to check moisture levels so that I avoid over watering this way. I will be away for a week. Do you think it would be safe for me to leave the pots in a couple of cm of water when I go, or would that endanger the roots? Perhaps I should let them soak up a good amount of water and then that should be enough for a week because our little seedlings are still so small. What do you think?

DSC_0675-Edit.thumb.jpg.e8ecb13e7ecf646116cd5f2d9b9f60d3.jpgDSC_0687-Edit.thumb.jpg.6acea0fcb9e576d83901867cad969438.jpg

I have added 1 tsp mycorrhizae and 1tsp Seagrow to a liter of water and that is what is in the saucer. The skewer tells me that one inch from the bottom is wet. There is an inch of dry soil and then the sprouts which are in an inch above that.

Thank you very much for visiting my journal to see wot's in pots. Have a brilliant weekend!

Omg, I forgot to update the strain information!!! Neither the NBA Diesel nor the Caramel King were a success, so I have a Skywalker Kush Auto and a Red Russian XXL Auto sprouted.

SKYWALKER

Genetic Heritage
Skywalker Kush Cut (selected from DNA seeds) x Triangle F3
Seed Type
F7 Feminised Automatic
Indica/Sativa
65/35
Cycle Time
65 to 70 days from sprout

Strain behaviour and structure:

Our auto Skywalker OG is mid-sized, good vigour and growing without too much foliage, by employing an easy strategy of leaf tucking, you can encourage her to shoot branches up with little to zero interference to overall growth. Her open structure allows good penetration and therefore increased yields and minimal pop-corn. Internodal length is moderate and she's very manageable. In the flowering stage she has a very distinctive appearance, Fine leaves eminate from the flowers in an almost spikey fashion and have a tendency to curl upwards, the buds whilst not outrightly singularly large, have incredible density which later become like mini rocks that hit your tray as you trim them. The flowers are very white in apperance. They are spread evenly and give a nice flower/plant size ratio. Odour control is an absolute must whilst growing this variety and if you travel with the finished product, a minimum of double bagging is recommended.

In the weeds.

Size
60 to 90cm
Yield
50 to 90 grams
Aroma and Flavour
Pungent with a Capital P OG, earthy, piney, dash of lemon. Flavour is a mouth coating blend of barthy, pungent and sweet rolled into one.
Effect
Strong, couchlocking, straight to the legs and straight to the head, and will take you to your own world of planet Skywalker.
Extract
TBA
Cannabinoids
TBA
Medicinal Effect
Great for anxiety and pain relief, promotes well being.

AUTO RED RUSSIAN XXL

"Sex: feminized autoflowering
Genotype: Sativa/Indica/Lowryder#2
Cross: Red Russian XXL x Lowryder#2
Indoor flowering period: 7-8 weeks
Outdoor harvest time: 10-11 weeks
Indoor yield: 400-450 g/m2
Outdoor yield: 50-200 g/plant
Height: 75-180 cm
THC: Very high
CBD: Medium

Auto Red Russian XXL is available as photoperiod and autoflowering seed. Both versions are feminized, just like all of our other seeds, meaning there is 99.99 % of a chance, they will develop into a female plant. Because this version is autoflowering, it will automatically begin flowering phase, based on its age. Therefore, no lighting schedule adjustments are needed.

It is a mixture of sativa, indica and ruderalis. The ruderalis genetics gave this strain the ability to switch to the flowering phase by itself. Red Russian XXL has a huge family tree. Some of the ancient ancestors are Brazil, Mexican, Thai and Colombian sativa, and of course, Afghani indica, that made this strain mostly indica. Some other famous ancestors are White Russian, White Widow, AK-47, our AK-77V, Northern Lights, #1 Skunk, Mexican Haze, Mexican ruderalis, Silver Pearl and many many more. In the final mixture, that resulted in this autoflowering strain, were our Red Russian XXL and Lowryder #2.

This strain thrives indoors and outdoors. Indoors, the flowering period ends after 7 to 8 weeks. In that time, the plants usually produce around 400 to 450 grams per square meter. Outdoors, the flowering period ends 10 to 11 weeks after planting the seed. A single plant can produce 50 and up to 200 grams. It can reach from 75 to 180 centimeters in heights.

Auto Red Russian XXL is a very strong autoflower, easy to grow and with one of the biggest yields. It produces very resinous buds, that can contain very high amounts of THC – around 21 % and a medium amount of CBD. The aroma of the buds is earthy and pungent and reminds of diesel."

Day 4

Good morning,

As you can see, the stems are just over an inch long, the first leaves are getting bigger and there is action in the node where the next set of leaves will come from. The seedlings are a good colour and are unblemished.

The soil is still spongy and damp. I will give it a slight top up because I will be away from home from tomorrow. I am feeding Seagrow, Mycorrhizae and Environoc 401.

I decided to do a proper swick instead of leaving the watering to chance while I am away. Normally a container this size wouldn't drain in a week but with the weather hot and dry I am concerned about evaporation.
The swick consists of a reservoir, a wick and feed. The pots with holes in the bottom are placed into the perlite, which is heaped into the reservoir as the wick. The feed is poured in until it comes up to 2 thirds height. The last third must remain out of the water to introduce the element of air.

Look at my babies, hands in the air like they just don't care 🙂

A Week Of Swick And Absence

I was away for a week and when I got home the swick and the pots were dry to the touch. Roots have started growing into the perlite and the stems are gangly, so I sense an upcan coming soon. In the meantime I have given the stems some support and recharged the swick. They are working on their thirds set of leaves.

This discoloration is not particularly attractive. Let's hope it isn't going to become and issue. The plants look super healthy otherwise.

Today I went shopping for perlite and plastic dishwashing bowls.

Day 13: Upcan & Big Girl Swick

Today was the day for an upcan. Roots were premature but I was worried about the long stems and I wanted to bury them asap. Now the plants are in their 20 L big girl cloth pots resting on swick reservoirs. I have been spraying the surface where the seedlings went in and I intend to do a well watering around the seedlings to give them something until the bottom water has time to wick.

A Note About The Swick

I filled the plastic bowls to three quarter height with perlite. I mixed enough amended dechlorinated water to fill the reservoirs with liquid to two thirds height. I wriggled the pots heavily into the damp perlite and I have the very base of the pot resting on wet. I moat watered all the way to the outside of the pot so that the damp soil will conduct water by capillary action, wicked from the perlite reservoir.

Judging how much water to deliver top and bottom takes time and I did not rush it. I up-potted yesterday, wriggled the pots into the perlite and did a small moat water around the plants to settle them into their new homes. The following day I topped up the water in the reservoirs and gave a more thorough moat watering. I am monitoring the movement of the liquid through the cloth grow bags so that I can make any adjustments that may become necessary. I poured of about 750 ml from each and the following day (today) I moat watered with that water as the top layer of soil had become a little dry. I want to get the balance perfect for the wicking action and that takes some feel.

This is when my winter grow started showing signs of spotting. I am using the same soil (Orgasoilux) but it is used soil which I have amended. I will be bloody furious if this happens again. I planted the sprouts in ordinary spent potting soil but now that they have been up-potted they are in the amended soil mix and their roots have in all likelihood ventured into the amended soil. The frustrating part is that Jamie Garner grows the most incredible plants in his soil. Has anyone else experienced trouble with the Orgasoilux?

The Lavender Best showed the leaves starting to crisp at 8 days old.

The Bruce Banner 2 at 17 days.

The Caramel King at 25 days

The Wedding Cake at 24 days

orgasoilux - every bag is a little different.

I've heard reports of plants toasting in that soil, but lately it's been more positive.

you can use clean water till first sign of deficiency. I wouldn't put a seedling directly in orgasoilux, I'll pop it in sphagnum or rockwool then move over to orgasoilux when they're just a bit bigger than the plants in your photos. also use the orgasoilux just as it is, don't add stuff, it's already fully loaded. only thing you can use is a healthy dose of microbes when transplanting and that's it. clean water, you'll be able to get the plant to above your knees or "ready to flower" size on just water and the nutrients in the soil. first time you feed will be before flowering so you'll wana go for Biobizz fish mix at that point and when you flip over to flower you obviously gona start giving bloom nutes, but switch the Fish out for the Grow, as the Grow has more sugar for the microbes and you want less N at that point and more P and K.

when reamending the Orgasoilux I would recommend emptying all your pots into a 100L bin or pot, dump 10L of jamies elemental blend in there, work it through, water it, let it stand for about a month to two months, then you got yourself a super soil there. that elemental blend is fucking 🔥🔥🔥

Thank you N.P. I planted the sprouts in spent potting soil and then transplanted the seedlings at 12 days into orgasoilux. The plants are autos. I have decided against photos given the intensifying load shedding 😞 I have put this solution into my reservoirs: Byodyne Environoc 401 (microbes), Mycorrhizae, Humic and Fulvic Acid with Kelp, and Seagro. I was planning to switch to Bloom as soon as they show flower. I have Biobizz Bloom.

When you say reservoir, do you keep mixed nutrients for longer than 24hr?

like hydroponics?

I did but it was a rookie mistake. The liquid in the reservoirs went septic. I am experimenting with a different swicking setup now because I find the perlite messy and it's impossible to know how much water is in the reservoir at any one given time without lifting the pot and testing. That aside, I won't be mixing smelly fish stuff in the reservoirs again.
