CG420za Posted June 29, 2016 Author Share Posted June 29, 2016 Ladies and gents, it's official. I'm not a fan of harvesting. It took me 4 hours to chop, trim, wash and hang. Next time I'll aim for the weekend. So I had 2 plants, Alice gave me 270g after trim/before wash. The other gave me 85g. I recently used this method from youtube with 12 grams of the Sugar Haze harvest and about 3 grams of trim....Those brownies packed immense power! Toby Posted June 29, 2016 Share Posted June 29, 2016 Yeah I would also recommend butter. I have my own technique, I need to write it up and post it here. Took me a while to get the dosage right. I use coconut oil, its the best IMO for cannabutter. Sometimes if i don't want to bake, I take a teaspoon in my coffee and I'm set for about 6 hours. Lots and lots and lots of airy popcorn Lesson learnt, chop more buds lower down. A few decent buds. Definitely need to improve next grow. Here's some pics. On that subject, I need some advice. I'm looking at changing my lighting. With the CFL's I had some high temps and RH issues. My new cab will be 57cm wide, 60cm deep and 192cm high. Thoughts please guys? Should I build my grow around what I buy or the other way around? I haven't heard of Aeradix before and I wouldn't go with the gthydro LED panel either without knowing how it performs. I don't think you can go wrong with that 250W digital ballast honestly....Just add some decent ventilation and you will be set to grow some nice dense buds. Depending what you choose you probably should build according to the light but you can definitely make the space accommodate your lighting if you want I'm all for the 250W Actually to add to Sir Smokalot I agree with the 400W digital from gthydro as it can run 250W bulbs as well...so maybe 250W for veg and flower under 400W... I dont even think you will need to spend more on a bigger extraction fan as for your space the cheapest extraction fan will still be more than fine even with the 400W running Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I got confirmation of this from them before I purchased. I was just thinking if it's a 1 plant grow, 400w would be over kill, but ya'll obviously know better! So thanks for the pointers. My budget was R2500. CG420za Posted July 23, 2016 Author Share Posted July 23, 2016 Sup guys So I just finished smoking the last of my 1st harvest... I think I did well with the curing and drying. Wet weight was 14.5g, dry weight was 3.2g. Strain was unknown bagseed. The smoke was very smooth, actually one of the smoothest smokes I've had. All my stoner friends confirm that it was great skyf, just the taste was a bit weak. I don't know if you guys ever tasted those cheap pink sweets that you got in those old school "Lucky packets" the corner shop used to sell? That's what it tasted like. Like a musk sorta taste. The bud smelt citrusy when you broke it. The high was mellow, but not like "I wanna sit and veg", it was more of a "let's mission" buzz. Wasn't very potent though, lasted about an hour and a half.
