Update:

Been feeding grow and kelp in small amounts.

This is the flower chamber, one confirmed female, three suspected females and the rest are unknown at the moment.

Then a magical hemp420 ganja fairy gifted me with some proper genes. A vanilla kush and strawberry amnesia clone.

Vanilla in the front strawberry in the back, so very excited about these genetics

Looking good man. Keep an eye on the males, they like to take over the show and pollen can go for km. You can pick up a jiffy Ziplock bag for the SA, the Vanilla was tipped which was not mentioned so no need for that.

Thanks for the feedback guys! Sorry for not updating recently life has been crazy.

So her are some images of what’s been happening, have time stamped most of them as I can’t keep track of dates.

Then the vanilla kush was reset to regular upward growth to get a bushier plant and LST other sections. The SA is still a bit slow.

I have to agree with JustinHemp420[/member] . You've dialed in and the results is speaking for itself.

What nutes you running in flower ?

Thanks bud!

Those years spent following so many brilliant grows on this forum and prior ones paid off.

Currently I’ve had to water them two to three times a week depending on the weather. So I’ve been doing one feeding of fish emulsion for primary grow nutrients, not idea as I’d rather be using biobizz grow but very tight on bucks at the moment. Also been doing top dressing with worm castings which has been great for young plants, have yet to burn them as a result of the castings.

Then I do a clean feed of RO water with a PH of 6,5-6,7. The thinking behind this is to reduce a salt buildup from some of the inorganic bites I’m using.

Then every third watering I give them some nutriplex bloom and Micro but at way below the recommended dosage.

Otherwise I do feed with kelpack and amino mix on occasion but my thinking behind this is that it’s primarily to reduce stress and develop healthy vigorous roots.

I’d love any suggestions, I’m pretty conservative with the dosages about 2-4 drops of the specific nutrient per liter of water.

This is mostly guesswork on my part. If anyone sees any noob mistake here please point it out.

Why do you give such low dosage of feed ??? Rather give it at recommended dose

That Sir is a very good question. I was pretty terrified of overfeeding and burn but I realize now how minute the feeding is. Will up it to the recommended strength.

Rather start with the dosage that is indicated on the bottle. If from there you don't see any probs then increase on a weekly basis if you see that the plant needs more. Even with Organics.

I am using Bio-Bloom this season and it states that feeding should be between 2 - 5 ml per liter. I started off with 5ml per liter and saw that my plant started getting burned tips. Then I went back to 2ml per liter and increased every 2 weeks.

I'm also the conservative type, I'd rather start at 2 and work my way up until i see issues and then cut back. Calcium and magnesium are great for flowering buds, are you covered in that regard? I feed a bit of calmag nitrate every 4th feed.

Thanks for the advice guys.

I’ve upped the nutrients for the last feed and am excited to see how they progress.

I haven’t added any CalMag but thank you for the tip man. Which product do you use?

Thanks guys, I’m so damn excited watching these ladies grow. Kind of my zen garden in all the chaos of my studies and work.

These are some shots I took yesterday when I could pop in quickly for a feed.

The vanilla kush is getting so bushy as a result of LST. I haven’t done a defoliation yet but tied some bigger fan leaves down to allow better light penetration.

I’m thinking of getting this girl to spread out as much as possible. Take a few clones when topping after a bit more growth upwards. Once she’s big I’ll probably flower her by herself, considering a scrog to get the best use of my coverage. But nothing has been decided on yet.

And the strawberry amnesia is on the mend. So excited for this to go into flower, need that energetic sativa smoke.

Couple of shots from yesterday girls responded well to a feeding of 2.5ml fish emulsion per liter.

Strawberry amnesia doing well, Hein if I get some clones off her in a month or two I’ll see if I can give the gift forward.

Vanilla kush is bushing out so well. I’m considering topping her taking clones (not yet, I few weeks) then setting up a small 50cm x 50cm scrog to get a good yield under my 250 hps. I love this plant.

U gonna enjoy growing both, the VK with its power frost and the SA for its colas. The SA is a 70 day plus plant and the VK is 60 plus. Something to take into account if you planning on scroging them together

Thanks man. I’m considering doing two separate nets about 40 x 40cm.

Bit of an update, I’ve been away from the garden for about three days and in that time the girls got about 10cm away from the light. With my inferior heat extraction it has caused some minor heat stress on some growth. Tied them down again a bit and gave them a good feeding.

Noticing some interesting trends among the plants or rather between phenos.

First one up is the indica dominant non topped plant. Heat stressed her out bud no burn just dropping at the top. She’s showing some of the best development in bud sites.

d48c30e2574fc32653d480ab3c3ddcff.jpg

Then next is the sativa dom structured LST’ed plant. She’s always been bushy but is popping budsites and showing good development. Gave her more of a tie down today.

Then the more hybrid looking plant and the one showing the best result of LST. Extremely bushy but a bit slow on development of bud sites.

A bit of an update on the ladies and clones. Responding well to training.

BS#1 the stretchiest most sativa like strain in flower, she showed sex first and is developing the fastest but I suspect she’ll spend a while in flower.

BS#2 my favorite plant in flower, slow to initiate flowers but gorgeous structure and responded very well to topping and lst.

  • 2 weeks later...

Update time: been extremely busy since the last update.

The girls are slowly progressing through glower. Killed the untrained indica female as she was just stretching too far showing very airy bud growth and some leaf mutations (single leaves)

The very sativa looking bagseed.
