  1. Cut down the Alien OG a while ago and the rest of the plants have had very little issues with WPM since. Veg tent doing well, gonna be moving the White Afghan Skunk into the greenhouse soon. Quite impressed with the Orient Express, filled out to a nice size and had little issues with some of the troubling conditions. The constant rain seems to have stopped and it should be able to be harvested in a few weeks. The Crescendo clones and Dirty Banana seem to be doing just fine. The Sakura looking quite frosty, read that the Pre-98 bubba needs a lot of Veg time to produce big buds, definitely going to do that next time, but I accomplished my main goal of more seeds.
  2. White Afghan Skunk has been put in a new home and the Congo, Ortega, and headbanger seem to be doing fine, final headbanger popped and is in the small pot in the back. I also popped an Uber by Cannarado Genetics just in case. Ortega definitely showing its Indica heritage. I love looking at the Orient Express, very nice growth with little issues. It started out with thick leaves but the latest leaves are really thin. Hope some of the Sakura pollen got to it. The clones seem to be doing alright, while the Alien OG is having issues. It seem really susceptible to WPM and seems to have fox-tailed. Going to be applying some double nickel to hopefully solve some issues. The Sakura is looking really good, seems like a perfect strain for small spaces. Definitely seems to have been seeded by the Sakura male, so hope all goes well with that. Had an order placed for some AK Bean Brains seeds from America, I will be really happy if those seeds get shipped here with no issue.
  3. The Northern Berry Gold has been chopped, bud washed, and is currently drying. Tried a tester nug of the Glueberry Og and it had nice heavy effects, for some reason it tasted like a Watermelon Jolly Rancher on the exhale from a vape to me, hope it keeps that taste after the cure. The three Congo, three Ortega, and two headbanger have sprouted properly. I dug around the last headbanger and it has a long tail so I nudged it more to the surface and I just hope it takes. The tester seed that survived seems to have decided to disappear, I dug around and couldn't find it at all, which makes no sense but whatever. Just need to transplant the White Afghan Skunk to a bigger pot soon.
  4. Since the testers largely failed to germinate, only got 1 seed to show a taproot so far, I think that batch of seeds got damaged in international shipping. Hopefully the survivor will be a female and sprout properly. To replace them, I've soaked and planted 3 seeds of Congo by Ace Seeds, 3 seeds of Ortega by Mr. Nice, and 3 seeds of Headbanger by Karma Genetics. White Afghan Skunk still going nicely, should be joined by some companions soon. This should be the Ace Orient Express, also showing no problems. I cut down the Glueberry Og a bit early and gave it a budwash last week, saw some PM on the leaves again and just decided to cut it down as the constant load-shedding at the worst times has not been helping. The Northern Berry Gold will come down tomorrow probably, showing amber in the buds. Alien OG starting to frost up. Really like the structure of the Sakura, nice and compact.
  5. Seems according to phylos genetic mapping, OG Kush is related to Chem91 and two cuts submitted by Robert C. Clarke, who is is a cannabis researcher, called "Ghani" and "Thailand". Speaking of OG, probably the best weed I ever had was an OG that came into a med club in Orange County that was probably named after the county it came from, like Recetta OG or something. I could never find any info on it, but the effects were so good. One hit and before you even exhaled, the full blanket of effects had already hit and transported you to where you want to be, but you just kept smoking because it so good. It was also just like the first hit every time, tolerance didn't seem to matter. I smoked that for weeks before it was gone forever, I imagine that was the real deal cut or close to it.
  6. You think simply growing by the ocean magically makes a strain an OG? Strain's became popularized because of the black market and later medical, and those black markets growers used clone only cuttings to deliver consistent quality. Florida's cut of OG kush is called Triangle Kush, a lot of the cuts stem from the same genetics and are just named after the region or grower who held them. When people refer to "OG Kush", they generally mean one of the elite cuttings. So to have OG kush, you either need to get a clone of the elite cuts or get genetics directly from one of the elite cuts that are considered "OG kush". In my opinion at least. This article might be more clear of Josh D's story. https://www.humboldtseeds.net/en/blog/story-og-kush/
  7. He never said he started it, he just received the cut as "kush" and helped popularize it as he felt it was special. No one really knows the true genetics, we can only speculate and see who was holding the true elite clone only cuts to get an idea.
  8. I grew up in Orange County, I don't really agree with everything. I just think it's the story with the most evidence to back up the claims. In interviews Josh D says they wanted to change the name from Kush because it wasn't a true Kush varietal from Afghanist, etc. I think it's highly likely it was chemdog that made it way to California and Florida through different cuts.
  9. Josh D's story is that he got the "kush" cut from Matt "Bubba" Berger, who flew it in from Florida. Everyone started calling everything Kush so they named it original kush. I grew up in Cali, never even heard of the term Ocean Grown before the internet, always thought it meant original.
  10. He was connected to the original crew that spread the cut to LA earlier.
  11. There was literally no backstory in that, just a story with no evidence. Josh D's story seems pretty verified and is the most vetted. https://tv.dopemagazine.com/josh-d-farms/
  12. Pretty sure the OG just stand for original, it was just called Kush and when other cuts started calling themselves kush, they named it the original kush, at least that's what I remember Josh D saying. Lineage probably from a bagseed of chemdog from Tahoe at a grateful dead concert, and chemdog itself came from bagseed of dog from connections at a grateful dead concert.
  13. The clones and the White Afghan Skunk seem to be doing well. The Sakura male, I have one female sakura as the other seemed to have hermed from heat stress probably so I chopped it. I'll try and store some pollen and maybe let it go to town on one of the crescendo clones. Norther Berry Gold doing good, PM seems under control but still watching out for it. Prepped for the tester seeds, hope all goes well on that end.
  14. I was just looking through their collection, as I was looking into the best chem in seed form. Guerilla Fume, Double Krush, Dog Patch, and Hunza Valley 91 seem to be what I'm most interested in.
  15. I thought the White Afghan Skunk should have popped already, so I did some digging and voila.
  16. Last weekend I went to the hydrobiz stash and dash thing since it was nearby, cannaclone was giving away free clones to everyone who showed up at the end. I got 3 Crescendo clones by Ethos and 1 Dirty Banana by In House. Very nice people, but it was kinda funny that someone called them to complain while we were waiting that most of the rasta bricks you had to find to win a prize were found by people who showed up early. Transplanted the Orient into the greenhouse, I'm loving this plant so far just super healthy and vigorous looking. Northern Berry Gold auto still going fine, hopefully will be able to harvest in a few weeks with no problems showing up. There was a little PM on a few leaves of the Glueberry OG auto which was worrying, think it might have been from when the power went out for a whole day as they had to replace a cable and it was raining. Been thinking of also switching the greenhouse to positive pressure. The Sakura's are looking good, pretty sure the one on the right is male. Decided to try out some tomato cages for support. Very vigorous growth from the Sakura's, quite impressed and I really hope I get a nice cherry pheno.
  17. Decided to pick up a few packs, might pop a White Afghan Skunk this weekend. Order went through fast and the seeds got here quickly.
  18. Unfortunately the Lost Coast lemons got the chop, the female was throwing balls. Transplanted most of the veg tent into the greenhouse, only the Orient Express left going now. Might be getting some testers next week to run that have priority. Orient Express is going well so far. Northern Berry Gold was looking nice in the sun, started leaning from the weight so I need to add some support. Loving the leaves on the Sakura. Alien OG going alright. Will be nice to have more more plants in the greenhouse, hope everything stays stable.
  19. I will definitely try to diary more as space allows, for now I have the Orient Express going. Everything looking good in the veg tent so far, probably going to have to transplant some of them soon. Of the Lost Coast Lemons two seem to be males, I took a cutting from the bottom of the female just to try it out. Ordering some more proper cloning stuff as well. Will also try to harvest some pollen from the males. Northern Blueberry Gold seems to be healthy, hope it bulks up more soon. Glueberry OG looking really nice in the sun. I wish the dosidos auto wasn't a complete runt, gonna take it out and maybe just leave it in the veg tent since it smells so good.
  20. I got most of the Mephisto's from their international site, but I don't recommend it since the shipping on that was the worst with sapo.
  21. I wanted some Ace seeds so I ordered international from OAseeds since they offered courier delivery, got them last week and they shipped quite fast after the order went through with excellent stealth packaging. Also got Ortega from Mr Nice and Vitamin C from Gold Leaf Seeds, the rest of the seeds were freebies. Gonna be a lot of fun going through these seeds. I soaked an Orient Express fem last weekend and it popped up today just fine. Seedlings all looking good, once some of the autos in the greenhouse are close to done I'll probably start some Ortega and maybe Congo. The greenhouse seems to be doing fine with the new extraction fan, still stable and no signs of PM despite the constant rain. One of the circulation fans stopped working after load shedding so I still need to replace that. It's quite hard to take nice pictures when it's always cloudy though. Lost Coast Lemons doing good, but no sign of sex yet. The Northern Berry Gold is looking good, hope the lack of sun doesn't hamper it too bad. Glueberry coming along nicely. Hope the weather is less depressing in the future.
  22. With the constant rain recently, I had a PM problem so everything was just cut down and disinfected. I installed a proper extraction fan last weekend and moved some autos inside to test the performance with the current rain this week, so far the humidity has been much more stable, just need to worry about load shedding I guess. Northern Berry Gold by GSR looking good. Glueberry OG, loved the smell on the last one so I hope this also delivers. This Dosidos came out really short, looks pretty though. In the veg tent, I have three Lost Coast Lemons by Humboldt Seed Company I got as freebies. I also soaked three Sakura by Bodhi, one WiFi #43 x Do-si-dos fem by Motherland Genetics, and one Alien OG auto at the start of the week. So far a Sakura and the WiFi have sprouted.
  23. Started some new seeds, Dosidos auto from Barney's Farm, Northern Berry Gold from Green Smoke Room, and a Glueberry OG auto from Dutch passion(the Glueberry OG I harvested previously had a wonderfully strong berry/coffee liqueur smell, will be nice to see what it's like fully cured). The Purple Merkel, Lavender Best and Black Cream auto are around a week old now. This Alien OG from Green Smoke room has a wonderful fruity smell. The Pure African sativa's stretched quite a bit. The Trumps Cookie Jar auto seems to be getting a bit of frost and a little bit chunkier. Took a tester nug from the recently harvested and dried Sweet N Sour Mephisto, took a few hit's from my lotus vaporizer and it was a very nice strong relaxing euphoric head high, definitely gonna have to ration this one as I keep craving for more. Now to wait patiently for it to cure.
