  1. Hi. Think I may have an issue. Some very big plants, Ghost Train Haze, only had one seed and wanted to save a clone mother. Will be a shame to lose them now. What can I do?
  2. Hi all. Advice needed. I think these are aphids. What to do? Early flower.... What insect can I get easily to help? As always, thanks for any advice.
  3. Reviving an old topic, was sick, busy etc etc. @Zonkinut How did yours work out with the 4 day sacks? I have only used sts as recommended by the guys above, and seem to have perfected the art of turning the ladies. Maybe not perfected but doing quite well. Played around a lot and learned and failed a lot as well (do not breed autos in the winter)... My best one thus far is a Gorilla Cookie Auto x Super Lemon Haze auto. Really really good cross. Left the approx 700 seeds in brown envelopes in a dark place for about 4 months, with some silica packets inside. This is my way of "curing" the seeds, then off to the freezer. Tested quite a lot of them periodically for germination rates and it seems to do the trick. Almost always 100% germ rates. Works for me. My current breeding project is a turned Trumps Cookie Jar auto from President seeds, pollinating the following, all auto's. Gorilla Cookie F1's. Fastbuds parents. Orange Sherbet, Fastbuds. Strawberry Pie, Fastbuds. Stardawg, Fastbuds. I got an insane amount of pollen from this plant. Started very slow and I thought it was a dud after 14 days, then it just exploded. Poor thing is on its last legs and almost completely dead now. I only spray sts twice, one week apart. Wish me luck. Hoping for a shipload of seeds and some funky crosses!
  4. @PromYup. Mixed with flour and all. Might have been a bad batch, I struggled a lot to get a small amount from that round of STS treatment. I changed the STS recipe after that run and it seemed to work great with an autoflower breeding project I did.
  5. @Naughty.Psychonaut to be honest, my air circulation could be improved a bit. Did not really worry about this as I am not really stressed about a good yield, just breeding this round, no smoke. I am monitoring the RH and temps, hovering around 50% and 23 deg Celsius. I STS'd a plant on the previous round, and stored the pollen in the freezer for breeding this time around. I may have stuffed it up somewhere, because it does not look like the pollen is working. It has been about 3 weeks and no seeds visible yet. Anyway, I will give it another week or two. Thank a lot for the tips. Learning more and more each day.
  6. @Naughty.Psychonaut. I am growing in my garage, a small space I created to grow 4 plants at a time. Unfortunately I am flowering, but it is a fem breeding project I am busy with. Breeding Gorilla Glue with Wedding Cake and Banana Kosher Kush. I hope these goggas did not stuff around with my pollination because I haven't seen any seeds developing yet.... I will try the above recommendations. Thanks for everyone's input thus far!
  7. Hi. Can anybody identify these little guys and how to get rid of them? There are thousands flying around my grow room. Can they be the cause of the spots on my leaves?
  8. Going to nuke the garage with a few cans of these. Should help, in my mind ar least...
  9. I may be a bit late, but I have a Fastbuds Fastberry that my cat damaged early on, and I threw it in the ground outside because I needed the space for something better / undamaged. Did not have much hope for it, but here it is 4 weeks later. Still some time to go, but surely a tough lady. At least 3 feet tall.
  10. Ok. So I am starting a new breeding project. My previous project was to feminize a Gorilla Glue # 4 with STS and collect some pollen. It took forever and very little pollen got harvested but I am sure there will be enough to pollinate 4 other plants. A welcome bonus was that there was a male in the room from a very potent mysterious strain I was testing and some of his pollen snuck into my STS area, giving me 100 or so regular seeds from my feminized Gorilla plant. I am sure there will be some interesting variations there. Anyway, on to the next one. I have popped the following 4 strains into some jiffy pellets last night; A feminized Gorilla Glue # 4 from the same family as the mother / father. These were quite potent and I would like to preserve this strain until I can find a true regular male for some fresh genes. A feminized Granddaddy Bruce. A feminized Wedding Cake. A feminized Banana Kosher Kush. I am sure there will be some seriously funky crosses coming from this. My grow area is in my garage and there is some boxes and stuff stored on the other side. Any chance of some viable stray pollen still lurking by the time these 4 reach maturity in two months? I have sprayed and wiped down most surfaces with diluted Jik bleach, unable to spray down the boxes for obvious reasons. Thanks.
  11. Ok. Time for an update and requesting some input. All these below numbered Orange 1 according to me are females. All the ones below marked Red 2 are males. I sprayed STS on all of them just in case a female slips through. No nanners on the females yet, but their growth did slow down quite a bit. The males did not slow down at all. Just about 12 days since I first sprayed, hoping to see some sacks soon. Thanks for any input.
  12. @PsyCLown Yup, pulling a steady 220 watt at the wall.
  13. I bought this a while back. Works perfectly for my needs. Great reviews on Amazon, that is why I bought it. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0185OLBPK?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
  14. Weekly update. Will have to take them off the crates because they are getting a bit out of hand. Flipped them over to 12 / 12 on Friday, so hopefully they will show me their goodies soon. The Gorilla Glue is destined for feminized breeding, so it had it's first shot of STS on Friday as well.
  15. Time for the weekly update. These plants are growing like crazy but I am still unable to sex them. Anyway, to me they look in incredible condition.
  16. Weekly update. Still unable to tell the sex on them, I might be a bit impatient....
  17. Hi @drgreen What size pots did you use?
  18. Excellent, thanks a million for all the valuable input!
  19. Thanks. Yup, Freedom Farms soil. Brilliant stuff.
  20. Thanks guys. There is no damage yet. The bigger ones looked a lot like the 7 spotted ladybird. Will keep an eye on them. Thanks a lot.
  21. Good Morning. I posted this topic in the Pest section but not getting any response. My apologies for double posting. Can anyone identify this guy? I found two bigger ones that were more orange brown with spots, almost like a ladybug, but took them off before I could snap a pic. This one is much smaller, probably a baby of whatever the other ones are. Friend or foe? Thanks.
