  1. Good Morning.. not sure is a good one for you SAgrower.

This is hard... really hard to tell.. I would say you have fungi, root and Caterpillar/Grasshopper issues.. but would really need to feel the leaves and see the full plant.

So very much please please.. others might have better information. The holes are your smallest issue.. when you pulled the plant yesterday, did you smell at the roots? You smell very easy if you have root rot.

Sorry.. pictures just keep me guessing..

  2. Load shedding isn't a that big deal breaker. On Autos you loose growing time depending on your lighting schedule. I buffer that time.. but isn't also really needed either, Autos just a bit smaller.

Stage 1-4 you just go 24/0 during veg and shouldn't run into any issue for premature flowering. If they get freaky and go Stage 6 or more again, you will run into issues, if you don't produce artificial battery light. But you can also bridge that with 1-2 LED light from PnP. 😁 Just do it! 😀

Greenhouse brings advantages and disadvantages.. easiest growing you get in a tent, as you can control the climate yourself.. the better you do that, the better is your result.. and some green thumbs help too 😉

  3. Serenade.. import some (wouldn't use wantitall, they are hyper expensive)

Is a bacteria, they just cultivate it and put it in a bottle. It eats mildew and once it doesn't find anymore, it dies off. One spray sorts you out..

Is the first time I have PM.. or anything on my plants in CT. So don't feel to bad.. this year will not be good at all, humidity is radical exactly when it shouldn't be 😂

If you spray and nothing happens, increase the dosage. Going on with what isn't working, will end in total loss anyhow. So it is up to you to decide, give em a bitch smack and see what survives.. but is clean or you will lose all anyhow.

If I would have Serenade here, I would fill a syringe and send you some 😕 But that is still shipping. I wanna spray the tent, just to be sure, is as clean as it should be.

    The P Bicarb didn't work??

  4. Indoor I do remove (fix light).. Outdoor I don't (moving light).. or only if forced by a epidemic

One of my usual plants (picture taken a few mins ago)

And patient Zero from this year after the defoil because of powdery mildew.. was as bushy before. Weather just way to wet in Feb

    But got her clean 😊

  5. Depends what you want to do with the result. Anything you have it in your buds.. is not to advise to smoke it, but you still can kill the fungus, once dry, and bubble it. Once dry, very easy to kill with Ozone.

If you want to smoke it.. I would remove those buds.. and burn them on the braai.

Serenade would clean it out perfect.. but till you get that, things will look rather grim. P Bicarb soak is the first I would do.. you don't want the fungi to spread. And give the other ladies around a spray just to be sure they have a little protection.

Weather is causing havoc all over the place.

  6. 😂 way easier... no Autos from bag seeds 😁

I go that far... don't waste your time with bag seeds.. in any case don't waste fertilizer on those.. crossing a sexy female with a bush male turns out shit.. and that shit is just not worth the effort. Leave bag seeds and dump them in the bin!

As long as the male is crap quality.. your plants will end crap! Only use bag seeds, when you made them and know exactly what is inside the genetics.. rest very very much a waste of time!

Your plants flower, as the light duration is below 12 hours now.. they just do, what they are programmed to do. Any fem seeds you dump out now and don't use artificial light, will turn out small little bonsai's. Autos will just follow their time table.. and with little light, you get just nothing out.

  7. @Zaza

👍 mine look worse 😁 but as mentioned.. they will swing back if you keep up the TLC. Important part is that the fungi don't spread anymore and looks good so far.. turns gray.. that is a dead fungus 😎

P Bicarb is after Serenade the best i know to get rid of Powdery Mildew. But if you have Serenade.. use that!! Way way less stressy for your plants. Is something I can very much recommend each grower to have, if you are more in the humid areas. (mine is shipped ^^ lets hope it passes customs)

Almost R50k to register an imported fertilizer.. and that's per product. That's why you don't have many options and why it's usually expensive. You can thank the department of agriculture.

Sweet, a man with knowledge 👌 Does that also mean that I can't import for personal use, if the product isn't registered? If I can import for personal use, I think I just order for a year stock from over seas.. products are half the price.. so the 30% or 50% the customs would add.. would still keep the bill lower. Not sure about trading and corona (not the beer).. might take a bit longer as expected.

If I have to order one product.. can also order all the stuff I actually would love to have in my arsenal.

In regards of the Department of Agriculture.. if it works like Home Affairs, I should get it way cheaper and really fast registered, if I do not go the official way 😂 I think very hard into the idea to open a online grow show.. with all the products I would like to have inside ^^ But after your remark, I think I better check with the officials, what side costs are coming into the calculation. So many thanks for the input!! ☺️

  9. Sorry ^^ Eskom got a bit in my way 😁

Can't add much.. I just want to point to a simple fact.. if you use Ph as a weapon, always check that your soil stays in the right Ph region.

And just that I get my imperial stuff right.. Ounce = 32g and a gallon is 3.8 liter. Is a little more as I take as ration (6.5g per liter water) and should be ok to use.

But as Mambawana said.. you are good 😉 you most likely checked in the morning and at lunch time it already looked a bit better.

They are a bit stressed now.. so they will drink a bit less.. don't swamp em

@Prom Thats great news. You must be stoked. Can you tell me how you diluted it? Will you keep spraying, or is twice sufficient?

Touch wood, but the only pests I've had so far, are mites and whitefly. I grow regular blueberry from Dutch Passion and my keeper mom is very mould resistant.

Putting all on the P Bicarb would be to much of an honor ^^ I used apple vinegar before for 3 days (5ml per liter water) .. the areas where it reached the flowers, I used 15ml per liter and gave it a local harsh flush, soaked the flower as good as I could.

    The P Bicarb i mixed 1 tea/spoon (6.5g) per liter water.

Checks I just did with the microscope on a few spot.. all tests look rather dead to me 😁

I will not spray for 2 days now and see what is going on. If the weather stays as humid, yes, I will spray them lightly every 2 days, but stay with the P Bicarb for now.

Rather funny how your mood swings with the condition of your plants.. 😆

Oros.. you saved my plants 😁

Aquarium shop is not the best communicator hehehe but they did send the stuff right away. Got the Potassium Bicarb yesterday, instantly gave the whole outdoor crop a soaking.. 10L for 9 plants.

Today looks already waaaaaaay better.. winning this fight 😎 Gave a second light shower right now and have a very good mood 😄

The stuff is as effective as I remember it.. but still can't wait to get the Serenade ☺️

    Have a fun week growing!

  12. @Mambawana

    Thanks for the advice, bru!

I was considering milk.. but decided due to the weather not to go that way. Is very humid and I fear I battle suddenly bud mold too (even I would boil the milk before using it).

I need a week of warm dry weather or I really see no way to get rid of a fungus. Friend down the road has bud mold and is fighting a rather loosing battle. CT weather is very very humid this season. 65% and cloudy as we speak.. little fungi must have a rave on those leafs right now 😂 might even rain a bit.. then the party should turn orgy.

No answer from the Aquarium shop yet ^^ i have my hopes on the P Bicarb.. worked good in my few experiences. Serenade is the best of the best.. a fungi eating bacteria and dies off when there is no food anymore. Told a friend in Germany to send me a bottle... might take a bit to reach me, so more a nice to have bottle for the next case.

Eskom just had us 3.5 hours down too... 😁 growing in SA keeps you on your toes.

Hello Prom, Check distilique out. They sell little baggies of potassium carbonate. Alkalising powder from the chemist will contain bicarbonate . The way this stuff works is to raise the pH too high for the PM to survive. Milk works on the same principle.

Try these okes. They might have what you need

Thanks man! I was on the website yesterday and just got scrambled code. Wrote a email to the admin and hoping it reaches a mailbox ^^ must have. You are a super star. ordered!

  14. I start to get the idea to get some proper gear to SA ^^ Is like the fertilizer.. only real pro option is Bio Bizz.. and that is double the price as in Europe. My first choice isn't available either.. nobody down here imports Plagron! Why?? Don't know. Is like with Serenade .. import. Cant be that hard to get some good products in one grow shop inside SA.. legal growing. Perhaps time.. after 21 years of living in retirement 😁 to start working again.

Perhaps I am also just a bit grumpy because one of my babies has Coronavirus issues 😁 So please nobody take any of my ranting personal.. but I miss so many products down here.

  15. Is due end March... so painfully long. Before I bud wash, I make a braai with the plant 😂 only thing mattering to me is quality.

I might lose my full outdoor harvest is it spreads.. just the 5k fertilizer i blew into the babies is giving me a sour taste. Somewhere upwind is a badly infected garden... only explanation I can find. Only plant having the issue is standing also in the most windiest spot. Sometimes strange things happen 🙄

  16. I need one shower.. is very very early. Never had taste issues with P Bicarb.. but can always bubble the plant if unhappy. Right now, only goal is to get rid of the fungus.

I even would apply Serenade on the spots by hand.. but that product is a zero find either ^^ How do you guys survive down here? 😁 Right now I use home made apple vinegar.. but the weather is not looking to get better.. so I have 2 options. Go a bit radical or dump the plant... so the others have a fair chance to finish clean.

  17. Ants herd and farm aphids.. they drink the sweet juice the aphids give, when stimulated. So they also protect them against enemies.. get rid of the ants and the rest on your plants ASAP 😋

  18. Where do you buy Potassium Bicarbonate in SA?? Get it in any European Supermarket.. just not in South Africa 😁

The weather in CT is shit.. and we really call it shit.. got the first time in 11 years hassle with my outdoors.. powdery mildew, just started, but can't find Potassium Bicarbonate.. as strange as it may sound hehehe

Can PLEEEAAAASSSSEEEEE somebody point me to a shop I can buy that quick and give my Ladies a cleaning shower????

  19. Weed below 58% doesn't cure, as to dry.. at least to my knowledge. That is why I never go below 58 ^^ Curing range is 58-66% humidity. So I aim for the middle.. 62 ^^ but I just bring it to 62, then I remove the bag and just vacuum the weed.

  20. When you reach 62%, you have the perfect moisture level for curing. I remove the bag(s) at that stage and put the batch in the final storing container (very sure the container is washed/disinfected and the seal is cleaned).

No, no "burping" needed once you reach the sweet spot. After that you just have to give it at least 2 weeks to cure and you are ready to smoke. If the jar does it's job, the weed will stay at that moisture level. So when you take a bud out, let it breath for 15-30 mins, before you smoke it.
