Our winter outdoor grow is showing some Irie winter bud with some beautifull shades of colour.

Yields might not be as impressive as summer, but the delicate winter flavours make up for it. The reduced vegetarian pest load is an added bonus, unfortunately the taxman(budrot) still has to be paid no matter the season.

We prefer to wet trim due to coastal humidity and then hang untill the "twig snap" stage. Sometimes a fan is used for indirect air movement on muggy/rainy days. Then they go to the jars, leave some headspace - fill to 70%. Monitor your jars RH, don't like exceesing 70%-still too wet, dry some more. Keep an eye out for possible mold growth. If it stays in the low 60's, you should be good. Burp your jars once or twice a day, note the jars' scent as time goes by, it'll go from fresh/grassy to stinky/sweaty and eventually you'll notice fragrant terpenes start developing. 

As a rule we jars cure for minimum 30days before we test, some strains can go up to 90days before the good smooth flavours develop.

Eish gents...... Its easy to point fingers and all that, but where would you go/emigrate that doesn't have same or equivalent issues. Between the WEF and WHO etc.... even if you dodge now...they come searching. 

Geographical isolation is good initially, but can you maintain that isolation...

North Coast winter colours.

Outdoor season officially starts around September and ends around April. 

But some rules can be bent, I'm still growing outdoors in July on the northcoast, weather permitting of course.  If you do plant outdoor in mother earth in September then your plants will become quite large, 3 to 4m tall. If you'd prefer something more manageble you could plant later or just plant into pots or growbags. There are a few different growing methods/techniques for cannabis. 

Indoor or outdoor and synthenics nutrients or organic. Cannabis can be grown in either. You'll have to decide which style suits your situation, abilities and your pocket best.

Seems a quiet time for outdoor organics. But the growing never stopped round our parts.

Jars are full of summer flavours maturing gracefully. Playing around with some subtle winter terps...just because. Growbeds been put to rest with a few green and brown layers, woodash and aged manure. Multiple AACT applications should help things along.

Moving abroad means having to be dealt a new set of cards to play with. It's a gamble.

Maybe one day i'll get outa dodge when Elon makes interplanetary transport available for us humans.

We grow outdoors technically, but still use lights for various reasons.

Currently have 3x light fixtures,

20w led for germinated seeds, 48w led strips for the clones and 2x100w led for outdoor veg.(daylight extension during winter)

It requires some maneuvering during loadshedding to manage the manual timers. The 2x smaller lights are paired with (auto on) loadshedding lights. Switch them off after loadshedding, would love to automate this. (running for a year now)

The 100w(will only run 4hrs/day) will be connected to the 5k solar inverter system. Which should create a bit more autonomy, seeing as this loadshedding shit is going to get worse.

Your results thus far look awesome and speak for themselves. 

We need more South Africans involved in proper breeding....for the love of the herb not chasing $$$. (That will come in its own time.)

North coast also pretty humid with 2 days rain (still raining). Permanently running a oscillating pedestal fan to provide indirect air movement in our dryingroom/garage. It helps a lot.

Mamma mia... those are hectic numbers. Grew a few Seedsman Lemoncello's, also with claimed high thc percentages.

Had 1x pheno (and I didn't take clones) that eventually came in at 22%. We are regular users but nothing over the top, I had half of one joint and I needed to lie down....wanted to fall over, I had zero balance. Gooffed off my head. 

26-30% would be something else.

Been planning around this idea for a while now. Seems a natural evolution from a smoking carpenters' point of view.  

Today the creative juices were just right.

The material was retained and cured from the 2022 outdoor grow.

She weighs is at a miniscule 179gr.

Been having a blimmen rollecoaster ride this season so far.

We just had almost 2 weeks of nonstop rain, heavy downpours mixed with light drizzle. 

Lost the CBG, Seedsman CBD, Swazi and Purple bud to snapped main stems and wind damage. Luckily we've got clone backups on all but the Swazi. And the Strawberry Vostok has just developed Fusarium wilt yesterday.... will chop as soon as she shows milky. 

Added 4 layers to the growbeds just before the rain started, in between some calcitic lime, bonemeal and bio ocean kelp for the micros with wormtea and AACT. 

Added bonus was the 30 butternuts harvested from under the ladies, they have proved to be a decent cover, keeping the soil cool and moist and yielding decently.

I have blitzed leftover apples and bananas in the foodprocessor with molasses for our girls, with good results.

There are many cost effective ways to process organic materials to make their nutrients more bio-available for your plants.

Do yourself a favour and have a look at Korean Natural farming or KNF on the interweb. Plenty organic tips.

Is it planted directly into the earth or is it in a pot?

We have hectic heat on the north coast but haven't seen that type of leaf deform.

Almost looks like a root or genetic issue but the more knowlegable guys may shed some more light there.
