Hey me easy crew! Got a bit of strange thing happening here. Leaves going light green towards to outer leaf and dark on the inner leaf.

Last feed was only CalMag and Epson in ph6 water.

    Any ideas?

I'm thinking root zone, maybe too warm from the heat matt?

Weekly update - built and put in the new SCROG. Also added silica to the feeding mix.

Getting a bit worried about the lack of vertical growth on some of the branches of Plant B (right)

Your plants are exhibiting early onset calcium/nitrogen deficiency and most likely bad pH, you can see by the leaves on the right plant excessive ridges along the leaf.

this is really good to know!!! 🤯

when I hear "tap water" it's like an alarm goes off. "dechlorinate! dechlorinate! dechlorniate!" what the hell was that all about? why are people always talking bout dechlorinating your tap water for your cannabis plants? would you say it's just misinformation?

Because it stems from American growers, their water tend to have much higher concentrations in some areas. Chlorine is not an issue, if you can smell it in the water then the levels are elevated and only then would I either run it through activated carbon or let it stand. But even if you let it stand you still have to worry about chloramines, chlorine is not really the only thing you want to remove. That being said, I only grow with tap water, using RO water is purely negligent waste of a precious resource. Do you really want to start stabbing people in their backs with devices to suck their fluids out their bodies to drink? (TankGirl reference).

    Ahoy matey!

Been a while but I have finally got a grow going again 😄

So I am quite fortunate in the sense that I did not have to start plants from scratch, got some larger cuttings from friends and most were ready to be potted up into 20L fabric pots already. Said friends did have some issues with pests and the overall condition of the plants meant that I needed to do a bit of work - top them, clean up the old dead leaves and now I need to start with some training and I obviously needed to spray for pests.

When I got the plants I did a spray with a mixture of neem and pyrol, I much prefer Pyrol over Neem but had both and decided to not fuck around and get rid of these pests as the leaves had been attacked quite a bit by the thrips.

Two nights ago I got some Beauveria bassiana (EcoBuz sell it as Pest Pro, as well as a few others under various names) and did a spray on my plants as a precautionary measure - not that I have seen any thrips since the first spray. I saw some bugs in the coco, but has not seen them recently and am hoping they have since died as well... not actually sure what bugs were in the coco to be honest.

Some details on my grow, equipment and supplies etc.

I am using Quantum Boards with Samsung LM301B diodes as per usual. I love these lights, they work really well and grow some dank bud!

For air circulation I use box fans which are mounted at the top of my tent, blowing downwards.

23cm pots for the smaller plants, 20L Plant Matters fabric pots for the larger plants.

The plants are all in coco with a bit of perlite. I use the 5KG bricks, buffer myself and just eyeball the perlite.

I like to use GHE Tri Part nutes and I follow the feeding chart on the bottle

I aim for a PH between 5.8 and 6.3 generally. Mostly in the 5.9 to 6.2 range actually.

Below is a list of the strain I am running currently:

Solfire Gardens - LSP (Lumpy Space Princess)
    In House Genetics - Bananium
    In House Genetics - Sugarcane
Exodus cheese (not sure which breeder)
In House Genetics - Jelly breath
In House Genetics - Lime drops
Exotic Genetics - Cookies & cream
    In House Genetics - Slurricane
In House Genetics - Frosted apricots
    In House Genetics - Blunicorn
    TH seeds - French cookies

Since some of these strains have already been flowered by my friends, I know how some will turn out and others I will need to wait until flower to know whether they will be keepers or not.

So far it seems the Lime Drops and Frosted Apricots are not that great, Blunicorn could be better too I believe but I have not seen pics of these plants myself.

The Sugarcane is a keeper for sure! Jelly Breath was quite decent too. The Exodus Cheese makes some really big buds I believe and French Cookies some very dense nugs.

Cookies & Cream is from seed, there is a chance it may be a male. Also not sure how this pheno will turn out.

I will certainly be narrowing down the strains for my next grow and scrap the strains which do not perform as well.

I will be posting some pictures when I get a chance. Still need to do some training on the plants too, hoping to flip to flower before the end of Jan.

    Exodus is ethos.

Not a warrior of justice. I know how long the plant has been illegal and why they made it illegal. This bill is almost exactly as the Canadian bill, but we not them!

We need Fields of Greens for All! This is the start of how they control the market and all the small guys who have been fighting forever and struggling are going to be forgotten about.

Then go protest, because that's how everything is resolved in this country.

What a bad time for this to happen. It is a terrible Bill that criminalizes some things heavily. This is going to be a long and costly legal battle that will likely happen in front of a judge. They really snuck this through now! Very unhappy about this.

You'll need to explain your logic here?

Ya be happy about the Government controlling a plant that they didn't give 2 hoots about a few years ago but now they want to tell you how and when about it.

Let's arrest and ostracize people for years for using the plant and then just switch it up control it when profitability becomes viable 👍🏽

Hate to break it to you warrior of justice, but this plant has been illegal for more than a "few" years, circa 1922.

You can't have it both ways the government will try to make money from it, exactly how every American state/Canada has done.

Why is private use regulated anyway? You can plant as many vines as you want to make wine or brew as much as you want to make beer.

Why must my private use be regulated? Nobody tells you how many potatoes you can grow and consume?

Step in the right direction but not too happy.

You'll survive don't worry, when you start pulling more than 1.2 kg per harvest then you can be unhappy.

Shot, it's all about getting good roots, and a 5 lane nutrient highway going, to feed those bad bitches.

In soil, I'll have to use another method to get the silica in, as the Microbes dont do the sauce, and need it in organic form they can turn into plant source matter.

Oh ya, did I mention yet what a boss grow you got going there😊😎💚

Added, you got that green avocado look to new growth, I f#@king love that🙌

Soil is full of silica already.

    @greenkushThat plant looks great!!! Nice💪

I grew for many years using synth nutes and coco on a drain to waste program. Once dialed in, it's where I grew my biggest and most potent bud to date. Nothing wrong with synth nutes and results are great if used correctly with the right parameters and technique in place.

After watching a few YouTube videos and seeing what some of the more organically experienced members on the forum where doing, I decided to give it a try at the beginning of the year.

It's been a very educational and informative transition, as I've learnt so much more than just growing dank.

Still honing my skills in with regards to this growing style, so I'll reserve my opinion on which I prefer until I have accumulated more experience.

I grew organic for  years, won't ever go back to it.

Biggest problem is smell is subjective. An hallucination at best.

My one cross is literally the only one I've ever smelled that had grape scent, all these other things with grape had the scent of freshly tainted ass. I hate the smell of weed in general.
