  1. Week 2: She is 370mm tall. Showing sex and clumping up slightly.
  2. Alrighty let's see what happens when you run a clone straight into flower. This cut was put into its pot a day or two after roots were showing out the jiffy cube. So potted date was 25/1/2016 For this test I'll be using the following: Medium - coco/ perlite mix. Nutrients - Nutriplex on drip system. Lighting - 600w HPS Strain - GSC You can see she is def a female, but I knew this already. She has got a bit of space between internodes. I'll keep this one updated..
  3. Yea so I let the root ball at least establish. But yes that makes sense that the roots correlate what s happening up top. Ill take some pics and put a small log up.
  4. Oh LOL!! My bad.. Yea that's a perfect size to flower... I'm doing a test on some clones to see what the yield will be when put into flower a few days after roots have developed and its been potted. Awe
  5. Seedlings need great attention, just like babies... That is why I find the paper towel method such a NO NO. You see when you use that method you will indefinitely damage roots once you try plant it and more than likely expose the rootlets to oxygen that will cause them to die down. On the other hand if you plant directly into your starter medium (coco, soil, rockwool, jiffy) you will avoid any contamination. And only the strong will survive and show their heads to the light.... On the plus side they were freebies and now you have learnt a lesson about germination. So you gained either way you look at it. Peace
  6. Welcome Cannabistherapy Im glad to see people putting themselves out there. Hope we can help you any questions and visa versa... I have a question actually about your Suppositories.. What base are you using? And do you give strain info on all products made? Sweeeet

    What's this

I did have pH issues, where my res dropped to 5.1+-. So emptied the res and refilled. this happened like 10 days ago, so still waiting for the results of doing a 5.5 flush, then light watering with feed. I'm running a drip system, with coco/perlite in fabric bags. Moisture in medium is roughly 20-30% I have sneaky suspicion that when the pH level was so low and it fed my plants, from the low end on the moisture scale in the pot, it caused a salt build up??? So i have done a flush. But from here on out I think a 5.5 flush every week is a good thing, Ill let you know the result. Peace

    What's this

Hey all. Tell me what you think this is caused from? In coco/perlite, drip feed.
  9. This is the biggest problem with indoor gardens in South Africa. Our damn ambient temps dont favour indoor growing temps at all. Swamp coolers in my opinion are a waste of time. Ive been trying to get mine to drop my temps like you say reaf but dammit it is so minimal. And when it counts in flower where you need LOW temps, the humidity they put out can cause mayhem in a garden (PM, Botrytus...) Growing in a room with temps reaching +35degc isn't ideal at all... but its doable.... Ive done it. But the results will be way less than a controlled room So now we are left to save our money to buy an air con... But then thats out of reach to a lot of people with them starting at R4k+- So the next best option is to keep the root zone as low as possible. (18-22 IDEAL) So with any kind of Hydro system, you would be using a water chiller for an aquarium @6k+- or like us peasants use frozen 2L coke bottles, replacing them as often as they need to be replaced. So that then requires lots of deep freezer space. Or you could do a DIY on a office water dispenser, or a chest freezer, by making coils inside inside the freezer compartment and running a small pump, so as to run the reservoir thru the "freezing" piping. This should lower your temps a couple degrees depending on what you surround your piping with... IE; Ice, dry ice, A water bath with salt and iso?... If anyone on this forum sells aircons etc.... please come forward... Awe:-peace
  10. Well its the first of what seems to be a very very promising festival.
  11. Yea.. You see if they come into your place and find one little micro grow or if they find say a tent that's holding say 4 descent plants, the charge is gonna be pretty much the same.. So rather go a bit bigger just to make the whole thing worth your time and efforts. And remember if anything goes wrong... Jointhequeue

    Veg 18/6

How long is a piece of string? It's all dependant on how big you want your plant..
  13. What else you hiding in your house if you scared they will search your whole house?
  14. Don't miss on this one people. It could become the next cannabis cup Africa.
  15. If only we were that far ahead.. My next step is to dry. I'm getting too much moisture lately with the higher temps..
  16. Yea dont use it, I bought 2 cased, ran it and got some shitty ass dark oil. Newport or a 9kg cylinder of cosmetic 31 grade n-tane is best.
  17. To start off with, clean fresh glass will do. You can buy rigs with a glass hit piece "nail" at most bong shops now. Then you could buy a ceramic nail at the cheaper end or a quartz nail at the bit higher side, or Ti. I know a guy who had all the equipment needed at a great price..
  18. Ok I've got limited experience other than a few runs on material I've had left over on the non solvent extractions IE: bubble, dry sift. Now my question is what is the average yields you get? 5%, 10%? Off of either bud, trim? Obviously dry full buds yielding the most. Awe
  19. I found, just put it into a brown bag and leave by an open window. Or newspaper folded over with the trim resting on it. Dryer the better...
  20. I dig it. Culture vibes are kiff.... haha
  21. Ok sorry for the bad log keeping. Heat wave didn't do me any good. I also just took on some mother plants that were not doing too well so got them in to nurture them. So my mind slipped on the seedlings. And they didn't quiet grow how id like, so I handed them over to a mate to look after. Next time I'll try harder to show y'all. As for the moms. They high CBD strains. Oil making stock.. Gotta bring them back to life...
  22. Hey 420 Ok so yes it is the best to use, well for what we can get. Colibri will be the better option, but it's not here in South Africa. The Newport has a very low residual content and of mystery oil. And you can get it at a spar or tobacconist. And if not just order, say you prefer it over all the others.. If you got a mate in the spar business then you could get a better price. I was getting mine at R26 a can, buying 12 at a time. But I think they go for around R29.. My side of the woods anyway. Let us know how it goes..
