Very nice brother👌The more cost effective way will be dry amendments. Kelp Meal, Insect frass, Bat Guano etc. EPIC5:2 works great. With these a little goes a long way✌️

ive been looking at the bat guano from the hydroponics store and some kelp meal for the topdress mix , the NPK on the bat guano is amazing (3-13-4) but would like to add some extra potassium with the kelp meal (1-0-4).

you reckon a slightly dialed back dose of each bat guano and kelp meal  ( like 75% recommended dose ) would do the trick ?

  2. Hey guys been a while 🙂

my outdoor grow is going really really well and need some suggestions

    image0.thumb.png.54278ae0d51c52dcdc67f42ab8597ca6.pngimage1.thumb.png.4dc932bd6efe7f7c21a51a0f46fe7160.pngimage2.thumb.png.0dce4f17ed823fd7f626e64c1d7a6dc6.png

ive been using using my mix of seagrow and biogrow biotrissol for these girls , but its becoming quite a nightmare mixing so much nutrients for the 6ft monsters on the left.

ive been looking around for some top dressing flowering nutrients (ideally organic). I found the green house biobloom but thats gonna cost an arm and a leg . So has anyone found anything around in SA or a recipe they have made up themselves ?

(had to also show off the amazing grapefruit sourz im growing on the right by @Totemic 😉 )

The girls have been chopped after 3 days in darkness and the Girl Scout on the left is showing some amazing pink colour and super dense whilst the master kush on the right has stacked up really nicely

The white widow was a disappointment, but is full of crystals and hella frosty

Lastly a photo of the fruit spirit that will start to be cured now , she’s came out alright at the end ( those nugs are all atleast 15cm long :) )even though she flowered the last half of flowering outdoors as she hermied .
I’ll upload a final report on the quality of the all the bud once it’s been cured for 2 weeks aswell as the final yield , overall very happy so far with my first grow and confident I’ll be able to hit a massive yield on the next

  4. Update
It’s been about a month since the last update and lots has happened , i went on holiday for 2 weeks so I built a simple drip feed system and had someone refill the reservoir every couple of days ,but as I was meant to fly back home I caught covid , so definitely not the best of times not being able to tend to the plants during late flower but here are some of the pics of how the girls are doing

  7. @wanna be dagga kop it really is not difficult to buffer coco.

Perhaps I will put together a tutorial sometime with pictures - however when using coco you do need a decent PH pen.
Will see if I can get a tutorial put up early November when I have a bit of time and am buffering some more coco.

I bought one of those 5kg Coco bricks and had to buffer that and it was a royal pain in the arse

  8. I think i'm going to have to scrap and start over, I'll use coco this time as a growing medium just not sure how to use it, the CalMag part really confuses the fuck out of me. I got 1 auto seed left, who is in cpt that perhaps has clones?

Also confused me at first , just get already buffered coco or buy a calmag sachet from hydroponics.co.Za and use that to buffer the coco , and if your tap water is soft ie a low ppm/ ec add a tiny bit of Epsom salts and calcium nitrate in a ratio of 4:3 and you’re in the clear

  10. I’m wondering could you, could you spray with the bicarb weekly as a preventative in early stages of flowering ? I spray weekly with neem oil to keep pest at bay , but wondering if I could take a similar approach to combat PM until I can get the correct resources to have the correct environment

    Little update
Before and after some defoliation , first photo from the front and second from the back.
The girls really starting to fill up and going to give them 2 weeks more of veg

  13. Looking good bro. I like the traditional mainline method, chop 3 times for 8 colas.
On a side note, how do people usual tell when equipment needs replacing? Obviously stretch like in your case is one sign.

The real problem , I got my MH bulb from a friend who said it was used for 1 grow but obviously needed to be replaced , the research I did indicated they last 2-3 grows

  14. Been a while guys , so I realized my MH bulb was long gone and that’s what what causing so much stretching so I put in the HPS bulb I had which is new, I was originally doing a flux style mainline but had both a stem snap on the master kush and GSC and was too late to save them , so I’m now doing nugbuckets style which unfortunately adds about 2 more weeks of veg

  15. I’m using HID at the moment (400w hps) , the only reason I opted for it was because it was a lot cheaper than going the LED way , I’m planning on switching to a COB setup but that would be quite a stiff investment for a hobby
