  1. Plant is quite sturdy, but growth has been slower than the traditional soil grow, I'm guessing it's nutrient related. Need to get some biobizz or equivalent.
  2. Roots found their way into reservoir. Need to find a better hydroponic nutrient that won't create residues and cloud the res water
  3. You know I'm not sure, if the male is a strong Buddha's sister plant, I may just keep him for a breeding experiment, let's see
  4. A quick update. 7 days into 12/12 and no clear signs of pollen sacs. Nonetheless plants seem healthy, gave them a double dose of seagro, about 750ml per plant. Will be away for another 5 days or so, so plants will be left unattended once again.
  5. forgot to mention, the microbial activity will cause the tea to foam, kinda like yeast, so place some newspapers under the bottle, as the foam escapes from the vent hole in the bottle lid
  6. firstly im no guru on the subject, but here's what i did: In a 5 litre water bottle drill two holes in the cap so that a aquarium air tube can fit in the hole. Use water from 1 cup washed rice or oats, that starchy milky water. Add to bottle Add 2 handfuls of compost A table spoon or two of molasses, I use date molasses, extremely high in trace elements, better than the cane type imo, which highly dosed with pesticides. A table spoon of seabird guano powder A tsp of seagro Sometimes a dash or mycoroot A handful of organic fertilizer based on poultry manure/kelp meal Connect the aquarium pump, after 48hours, the concoction will have a woody smell like mushrooms almost Feed to plants until runoff, repeat after a week or two
  7. Hy hydrogrowers, the respected masters of yield, what is the ideal temp of the water that actually contacts the roots?
  8. Well I did see a distinct hairs on one of my plants, but it was the bag seed, which seemed most vigorous since the outset, i didnt care to inspect the rest in detail due to the restrictions of the canopy and the criss cross of stems, makes the task a bit of yoga lesson, so i said, f@#k it, flip the switch to 12-12, when i return friday, i check for balls and nukem
  9. Will remember that come harvest time of Buddha's sister and Kandy kush, hope you reciprocate the gesture kind sir
  10. Looking good Surv0, delicious names you got going there, giving me the munchies just reading your post, I read Strawberries, Candy floss, Blueberry cheesecake. damn i need icecream, do you have some growing?
  11. well done T.O.G. i'll bet there are members on this board who'd part with a teste for a stash like that!
  12. sup reaper, seems like we're roughly in the same predicament, i just lst'ed my plants, have my suspicions about sex.I would strongly suggest you initiate low stress training with your intention to scrog, start the horizontal orientation the meristems, if youve topped you should have multiple, exposing the secondary bud site to the light and focussing the plants growth activity to many the secondary nodes. I would say the time is now to last, scrog when you sure of sex. Good luck and hope you reap better than you sow
  13. Thanks Glo, going to research preflowers and report back with more pics
  14. Did some LST for the first time today. I'm amazed how flexible the stems can be, did break a few in the process, needed to bandage the wounds. LSTing definitely helped save some headroom, thanks again Justin. I can not see the rationale for a screen or scrog , unfortunately not an option for me right now, as I haven't sexed yet, last thing I want is to untangle a male from a scrog net ...
  15. Most references suggest 27C as ideal, interesting that you have success at 20C . I guess much depends on how you germinate and how/where u measure. Under the humidity dome ?
  16. Stretching their legs in their new pots. Leaves are a bit droopy due to the shock, therefore will train and lst tomorrow or this evening. Will be working on a automatic watering system as well to at least perform one watering during my absence next week. I have decided not to swap my 250W hps yet to the 400W or 600w hps. Will do so when I return and determine sex. Will also decide between 400w magnetic versus 600w digital versus 400w digital, will perform some power consumption measurements and rudimentary lux comparisons to determine which to choose for the remainder of flowering, if any one can advise or relate their personal experience, I'll be grateful. Cheers for now and enjoy the long weekend
  17. Ok mustered up the will power to complete the transplant this morning. Took your advice Justin and filled buckets about 80%. Makes schlepping them around a bit less of a schlep about 20% less of a schlep
  18. I guess having the hot habaneros around makes the ladies blush and put out [emoji1]
  19. Hiya Justin is that the normal temp inside the cabinet, 18C? Or is it the temperature due to the cabinet door being open and cool air entering the cabinet?
  20. zairek

    pressings?

Ahh ok. Is your extract coconut oil based?
  21. My habaneros as per my better half's insistence. They gonna have to move to veg tent soon. Veg tent is populated as of this evening. Flowering tent is being prepped for 12/12, expecting a huge stretch, especially since they will all be repotted into 35l buckets. Room will be like a jungle next week this time. Hope environment copes with these extreme conditions. I have to leave the grow unattended next week, have some training scheduled (not plant training you potheads [emoji1] ) Advanced networking training. Have a hectic evening planned for tomorrow, have to repot 5 plants into 35litre buckets, expecting plenty elbow grease....[emoji1]
