  1. Sup guys

I want to increase the humidity in my cab but cant afford a humidifier.

The highest i get is about 32%. Looking to reach at least 40%

Does anybody know of any tips and tricks to increase humidity without having to buy any gear?

    Much appreciated

  2. Thanks Toby.

I don't think I can use the weigh method cos I have them in 16 litre pots so 200/300 ml of water will not really affect the weight.

I opted against starting off in small pots then transplanting to larger ones.

So now do I not water them again until they have perked up? Or do I just give less water from now on?

Attached are pics of my 2 and a half week old seedling.

I dont know if im being paranoid, but the leaves appear a bit floppy to me. I understand that overwatering causes this? Is that the case here or is it too early to tell?

I have been watering them every 3 days with about 300ml water.

Any feedback will be much appreciated.

    Thanks

Lol, you're a brave man to bet against a fighter who's undefeated.

Im a Pacquiao fan, but I can't see him beating Mayweather.

  6. Thanks Toby.

I did download your schedule a while ago..but it's the nutrient strength % part that I don't quite understand. What is that exactly? How do I measure it? I hope that's not too dumb a question but im fokn clueless! lol

@Admin: Broke the surface about 2 weeks ago. Still very small.

Had heat problem in my cab so left them outside.

Im about ready to put them inside now...and feeding.

  7. Sup guys

I need some help understanding the Nutriplex feeding schedule. I bought the nutes from Grow Guru and I was expecting them to come with instructions but they didn't. I downloaded the feeding schedule posted on this forum but I don't understand it very well.

I have a 25 litre tank and my plan is to mix nutes with the water in there so I can hand water my plants when needed.

My question is which of the 3 nutrient solutions are required at this stage and how much ml's do I mix into the 25 litre tank?

Im growing in coco/perlite in 16 litre pots.

Looking forward to hearing from y'all

    Peace

  8. Thanks for all your advice dudes.

I think i'll go and buy one of those PC fans like Toby.

But now the question is...how am I gonna cut a 12cm hole in the cab??

Does it mean I have to take the cab apart? I really hope that's not the case. I totally suck at DIY!

  9. Sup guys

    I need urgent advice.

I have a heat/ventilation problem with my current grow cab using 250W HPS.

I have now decided to go with CFL's instead. My plan is to get about 6 or 8 30W bulbs. (not even sure if you get 30W)

Could you guys tell me where in Cape Town I can buy the bulbs, sockets and everything else needed, please? If I could buy everything at one store that would be ideal.

At the moment, my seedlings are getting light from mother nature outside in my yard. But I want to get them in the cab asap as my housemates are starting to ask too many questions and Im running out of lies to tell them hahaha!

Looking forward to hearing from y'all

    Peace!

  10. That makes sense. The room in my house will ofcourse be warmer than your garage. The temp reading in the cab without the light on was around 23, 24 degrees.

I also have the temp sensor about 25cm from the light.

Okay, thanks ouens..looks like I'm gonna try my hand at adding an active intake. Seems easy enough in my head :-hilarious

I wish I was more of a DIY handy man...but i used to bunk woodwork at school and rather get stoned. Oh the irony! hahaha

  11. So the cabinet has been running for 24 hours, and today was rather hot in CT, but the temperature at 15:30 was 29 in the cab. Humidity was at 33% which is a bit low for veg, but still doable, and will work well for flower.  :-puffin

    Hi Totemic

I bought this cab from you back in December. Thanks again :-gthumb

I had it run from 8pm till 12 noon but the temp I get goes as high as 35 degrees.

The cab is in a normal size room by the window.

Can you (or anybody) perhaps give me any tips to get the temp down a bit that does not involve any rebuilding. Im not the DIY type of guy lol  :-blazed

All suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
