  1. They still look healthy enough to get some decent bud from them. To me it looks like a combination of poor soil, lack of nutes and small pots.
  2. It's much cheaper during level 4 load-shedding
  3. Yip, I've had a bit of bud rot growing outdoors in the Cape. Around April when those cold fronts start coming and a few weeks from harvest when the buds are big. First it blows and batters your plants then when it passes the rot sets in. Need to watch them like a hawk. I have mine in pots this year so if I'm home at least they can be moved under cover.
  4. No. 1 won't work so well in Cape Town, but yeah, good ideas.
  5. Thanks guys, I've used double grow before. Just wanted to make sure that was good enough and I won't be ruining my soil.
  6. @Green Leaf Organics What do you recommend for the 10% soil? Cheap potting soil or just from the backyard? Also, the Mushroom compost / kraail mix - any brand you recommend?
  7. Really healthy looking plants you have there - they look much better than your first grow. I'm currently growing the Dinafem Original Amnesia photo version, so I'm interested to see how yours turn out compared to mine.
  8. How do you fit in the AACT feeding with your regular feeding? Do you mix in your normal ferts with the tea or do you alternate feedings? Or do you not need additional feeding if you use the tea?
  9. Thanks for the replies guys. I might go with one of those cheapies off takelot. The EC probe is still totally fine, so I can still use my old one for that.
  10. I'm growing organically outdoors in 40L fabric pots, but have not been PH adjusting my water. The plants look really healthy so far, but I'm worried the PH buffering the soil (freedom farms) provides will get out of whack eventually. I have a Hanna PH/EC pen, which I got probably 15 years ago. I stopped by their shop in Bellville yesterday to replace the PH electrode and get new calibration solutions and they quoted me R3555. . So what do you guys use to measure your water PH as I'm not spending that much? Also, I have been using tap water left overnight to leach out the chlorine, but I also have loads of rainwater in my jojo tank. Which would be a better source to use? I always seem to remember the CT water being close to 8 PH. Thanks.
