  1. @GGGthank you for the kind words and the suggestion. What about using a  pallet? 150 litres must weigh a fair bit.
I'm going to use this mix again, from last year's grow. The pots are bone dry so I gave them a good wetting and a dose of seagro. I've got a lot of old hydroton that I can mix in to lighten the load on the floor joists.

Pallet would be perfect to distribute the weight , for instance two people standing next to each other weights +- 150kg so with a pallet you should be save.

  2. Those roots looks lovely , as do your plants. You can even out the weight of the tote with a bigger piece of board or even roof battons.

  3. I still disagree with this cos i dont have a sealed environment- but hey i could be wrong and ill give it a shot and see if it works
To be honest back then I just thought CO2 whoohoo I'm going to harvest big , but then I came to the forum and started to understand more about CO2 and realised it was Abit of farting in the wind , besides sealed room everything else must be on point and I'm not geared up like that. Would be cool one day when I'm big and can grow ordentlik.

  4. I am/can definitely supply alot of O2 in the res. Ive got a piston air pump thats providing a decent amount of air and i can even add more air stones to the res.
How do you know CO2 under the leaves made any difference in a non-sealed environment ? You did give me an idea though. A floating container in the res with a little water, that has no contact with the res, were i can drop the tabs in might work
Yes go for more bubbles if you want to give CO2 in the Rez comparment , but il put them on the Rez lid in a container with water. The less CO2 at your roots the better.

  5. hehe i think about my growmies issues even while i stand and stare at my own plants lol
@ExoticCannabis2021, when i was running hydro and doing manual checks twice a day, i noticed that my ph fluctuated a fair amount as well, and how i dealt with that was with daily ph adjustments, often twice a day with a few drops to get it back to where it should be.
it sounds like you are not dosing your water on the daily and are compensating by lowering the ph that low so that its not a problem in a few days like you said.
maybe try more regular dosing and then you wont have to let your ph swing so much? go in at 5.6 and then every time it goes up to 6.2 you give it a few drops to back down to 5.8 or 5.6 even?
Totally agree , if the rez temp fluctuates during day and night ph also fluctuates , also during summer when it was hot and they drink alot of water and the volume of water goes down EC tends to go higher because they only drink water to cool themselves as they transpire and do not feed much, also changing ph.

  6. Ok so you 6 weeks into flower then , you can lower the light a little more if there is no light burn on the highest parts , with my QB's I can go as close as 10 cm with good airflow . Drop the light 5cm and see what happens. Nothing much you can do now anyway , even if you get a good light it will help a little but not alot . Use this grow as a learning curve and a bench mark for your next grow.

  7. Hi and welcome , by the looks of it your plants are still in veg right? Doesn't matter what the lights are or temps or anything , if the get 12/12 they will start flowering and you will notice it with in a week . If still in veg what I will do is top the plants alot , give it a week and flip to flower , they will stretch and grow closer to the light up to end of week 3 . You will get a yield with that light but not close to what you will get with good lights. Light make buds bigger and denser.
Lots of people have done what you doing , there was a time when growers only grew with CFL'S .

  8. The two that was LST(topped and Fimmed) stand at 25cm and the one that I left as is at 35cm from soil.

They just got plain rainwater and last night with the flip they got some flowering feed and Probiotic.

Veg room temps fluctuate fast between 20-26 due to the element heater , so growth stunned a little but , each winters story. But it's ok , it is what it is.

Sooo here we go guys ✈️

  9. CO2 in the Rez , need lots of oxygen in the rez, when I did RDWC I put the tabs in a container with water under the canopy , the leaves take up the CO2 . That will help you to keep ph in a smaller range . In veg they like 5,5-5,8 to take up nutrients efficient ly and flower 5,9-6,2 . I had best results that way.

  10. 37 days in flower , so so . White Wedding Cake smells good and has the most thrichs of the three . Strawberry Fields has nice tight intermodal space and looks like one long bud . Zurple Punch loooong intermodal .

They got a good strong feed of Fire Juice that I wouldn't recommend and no tips burns yet. Have burner them in the past tho.

I'm happy with this grow, just over 5 weeks and another 5 minimum to go .

Try totes guys , it's like a grow bed .or try growbeds , very healthy and convenient way to go with some restrictions that can be overcome.

  14. @GGG please update your diary before midnight tonight to avoid a 2nd warning.
    1st warning
Will check what happened , did update last night .

  15. 12/12 from seed you can go abit smaller pots and more pots .
    Some good advise above !!
LEDS will work way better with what you wanna do and to reach 800g dry you will need to cover every cm with a bud basically and have very good airflow to avoid high humidity with so much plants .

  16. AC might work out cheaper than topping up the ice a few times a day, ice not going to last long. That's a lot of watts in a 1x1x1,5m area , you need about 2 hight also with that light. In general a pot is 30cm plus the plants will be 30cm+ and that will leave you with 90cm between light and plant canopy before the stretch when you go into flower. What airflow do you have passing through the grow space ? Luckily weather is getting colder and that MIGHT counter the heat side but the intensity of the light on the plants can be rough after stretch.
Some fellow growers using HID will give advise soon , hang in there.

    PS- Welcome

  17. On the T2 plant, the yellow seemed to subside but there are still two leaves with some yellow edges.
The T1 plant on the other hand just went full-on with yellow. If there's a prize for most vibrant and colorful plant, I might be in the running. LOL!

I thought leaves doesn't go back green after a discoloration . Interesting
