Luba M
Hey everyone, I’m just getting started and trying to figure out a simple but effective setup for my first grow. There’s a lot of information out there and it’s honestly a bit overwhelming at the beginning. I’m not looking for anything too advanced yet — just something reliable to learn the basics properly. What would you recommend as a good beginner-friendly setup in terms of lighting, ventilation, and overall environment? Also, are there any common mistakes beginners should avoid early on? Appreciate any tips
Chris Jay
Hey @Luba M There is way to much information. Keep it simple. You can buy full grow kits online, depending on your budget. Personally i would grow limited indoors and flower outdoors currently. A simple mistake is not doing a proper budget, any indoor grow is going to cost you atleast 10K with everything needed to get going.
Naughty.Psychonaut
I second what Chris said You gotta spend a bit. Start small, but not cheap. If you go for the cheapest options you'll have so many different struggles and just end up discouraging yourself. Starting small will also allow you to focus more. Often times even when experienced growers take on bigger grows a lot more goes wrong, because naturally there's more room for error on a bigger scale. Get a 1 plant setup, those marshydro 70x70cm tents work perfect, gona need at least 150w LED with the right diodes. (Not a flood light or any random LED. Also not the purple / pink lights.) Then you'll need a inline fan / extraction fan with some ducting to take the air out the room, and a small oscillating fan for air circulation. The rest is just a pot, soil, nutrients and a plant.
