  1. Thanks, im going to have to keep an eye on them. Perhaps a bit more frequent feeds, but less to keep soil PH in range. Perhaps drying them out causes it go out of wack. If it is the UV, i guess I will know soon if the issue persists. If it does, then vermiculite is another factor I need to rule out.

Next soil wont have it included.

  2. I think you got a issue with the vermiculite in your soil causing lack of air exchange in the root zone . This in turn may be causing a slight ph fuctuation causing a little burn

Ok I havent considered this. Good point...never actually thought vermiculite could do this. I answered the watering query with post above.

  3. Could be a result of overwatering... I've had a similar reaction to overwatering.

The leaves drooping and clawing seems to point to that

If it was the light surely the top leaves would be affected first?

edit: could even be mag def, plant is looking a tad pale

Ill admit, these images are a few days old. Ill take some fresh ones so you can see the difference since I put under CFL. Also removed the burnt leaves. Had them under the HID on a lesser light cycle, before switching over to flower at which point I moved them to a veg room with CFL at 18/6.

Im quite careful with regards to the watering. Only once every 3 maybe 4 days. Sometimes need to remember to water it. The plants looks great at the start of the light cycle, after some rest. It seems to start to wilt closer to the end of the cycle, just this plant and one other. I double check the soil saturation at the bottom of the pot before feeding. Also check on weight etc.

I think the light issue is related to long term exposure to UV? so older leaves start showing signs. I have light bleaching and burning on top leaves before so can spot that issue, but this is different.

Im hoping to counter any mag def with the epson salts I add once every 2 weeks or when it seems the leaves need some colour.

  4. What medium is she in and what you feeding ? Are you running bare bulb or cooled?

Using a home made coco mix...

Worm castings, perlite, vermiculite, bonemeal, rock phosphate, turbogrow, mycoroot and a few earthworms.

feeding biobizz grow and bloom, and every so often some epson salts and seagrow.

I have an intake duct pointing at a winged hood, so not cooled as well as I would like, more bare than anything. Closed hood hopefully coming soon. The air blows in the direction of the extractor but the winged hood creates some movement downwards and swirling. Ive got a rotating 40mm fan that blows over the plants on low. Temps sit at around 24/25c where it counts.

  5. Been around the block twice trying to figure this one out. I know bad light or too much bad UV can cause all sorts of issues, but the plants should adapt. Never had this issue with my HPS.

  6. Put up a pic of the lady effected if you don't mind , might not be light burn

Apologies should have done this initially..

They seem find now under the CFL's.

Also this tends to only happen on the older leaves, no growth seems ok, but as time goes on, the newer growth becomes older and this issue comes up. Happens on all plants except my Lady X which has a much darker leaf complexion.

  7. Anybody have any issues with Sunmaster 600w dual arc bulbs? Ive been getting some weird leaf burn over the last few weeks which I believe may be coming from the MH part of my bulb? Apparently MH for the first 300hrs burns really hot putting out quite a bit of UV which can cause leaf burn... recurring issue for a while now while running this bulb. Trying to just bat through it in the hopes it runs itself in fairly soon. Switching to a digital ballast this week which may help a bit, but tempted to go back to HPS. using the Dual arc as a flowering bulb right now, only 12 hours on so the UV may not be that bad going forward.

  8. Excuse my ignorance, but is this contraption used for extraction?

Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using Tapatalk

     Purging extracts, probably BHO.

    Im following this thread.

  9. Ive been meaning to actually update, wasnt sure whether to rehash this thread or make a new one.

The OG's are in flower, we cloned and kept in veg and both plants showed different phenos and went into flower at different stages. Was still outdoors for a while which made em flower earlier than expected but never the less. Indoors now on 12/12. Buddy is growing these out, while I have some other stuff on the go.

    From back left:

    LadyX/Cotton Candy, Blackberry Aldorado

    From front left:

Cherry Pie, Blue Cheese, Northern Lights Auto, Blue Strawberries. Little worm farm far left.

Had some issues with cherry pie and blue cheese, so just kept em vegging. The big ones are in flower atm, the rest are just vegging. They were out just catching some natural UV, however indoors permanently now. Waiting on my digital ballast (ordered one but isnt working correctly, greenthumb offered to swap it out asap). Then I can take some pics of the plants indoors.

  10. Hi Guys.

I'm wanting to order from cannabisseeds.co.za for the first time and was wanting any feed back from people that have used them in the passed.

Are they legit? and are their seeds good quality.

Any feedback would be really great.

    Thanks

Yes legit, ordered twice already. They are kak busy atm, orders seem to be doubling month on month especially since the latest court judgement. You can link up with the owner on the facebook page if needed.

  11. This is fantastic! Thanks for the idea. I eat a ton of prawns but never thought to make meal from it.

Definitely going to do this next time I eat them.

Looking at the nutrients of prawn shells:

    36 grams of protein.

    66mg of calcium.

14% of the DV of magnesium.

24% of the DV of phosphorus.

18% of the DV of zinc.

22% of the DV of niacin.

10% of the DV of vitamin B6.

42% of the DV of vitamin B12.

    Decent amendment.

  12. I have been trying to get a pic nice enough to make out if the trichomes are turning amber, but somehow my pics come out all blurry. Today I'll go search for a magnifying glass rather than risk having the perfect time to harvest pass.

If I get nice pics I'll definitely post them.

Not sure where you are based so cannot recommend a shop, but try look for a 45x and up loupe magnifier. Takealot has them I think. If you can find a 100x loupe even better. Great for checking the trichs on the plant itself.

  13. Yeah havent updated in a while.

Bit sad though, had to give these babies to a buddy who is looking after them. Lets say my department was cut in half recently, some sudden resignations, and as a result.. im having to pick up travelling again. I just couldnt care for them. Doing well though, and they seem to be autos (I wasnt aware). Will get some pics. Was gonna grab clones, thinking it wasnt an auto.

Starting up another grow, although trying. Will update as soon as I can, pretty damn busy at the moment unfortunately. Havent even been able to frequent this site that often.,
