I did give them a 1/10 dosage from folliar feed of fish emulsion. Not a good idea in retrospect.

So here’s another update y’all, please tell me if I’m doing this update thing too often - I’m just obsessed with these babies.

So I repotted everything that had roots growing out the bottom. And gave them a through watering, these are shots after replanting.

This is later on in the afternoon. Girls (hopefully) are all happy and praying for me.

I should have the light closer but I’m only just managing with temperatures.

Nice quick growth. Looks like you're going to have to up-pot them very soon.

 

I prefer to use 1l milk cartons for seedlings, gives a bit more time before they need a bigger home.

Just a tip. Next time get some seeds online. There's nothing worse than wasting your time of inferior genetics(hermies and such), which most bagseed unfortunately turns out to be.

 

Then again, with numbers you may just find some keepers

I’ve given that some consideration but just wanted to ensure the system would work before putting proper genetics in there.

On the subject, are there any reliable seedbanks locally yet?

The entire reasoning over the grow is to have a variety of medicine depending on my needs. So that’s definitely on the to do list!

I’d be devastated to take these through flower and have them hermi on me.

So Everything has been taken down and boy this Strawberry Amnesia is a power house in terms of bud size, I don't think any of the plants are where they can be at in terms of potency due to no aircon but we will see once she is dry and a few days into cure. Have a slight cold ATM so can't really smell shit, hopefully the 2 will coincide and I can get my smell back when they've had a little cure. Other than that the Vanilla Kush is still great so obviously she can handle the heat. DC is 80% which I'm still happy with, way better than the street junk. I'm also interested in the last GG I harvested, she was in the biggest pot of all the plants and ran the longest in flower also. Compared to the other GG she has way bigger buds and more resin, we'll see.

Have you thought of making a light fixture with LED bulbs? They will produce way better buds than CFL especially in flower.

Well that’s a brilliant point.

But I’d like to keep this as a seedling/young veg section and possibly purchase a 250w hps. I could sort out the flower lighting for R2000 and then spend the other R2000 improving airflow.

I’ve researched LED’s available locally but could I get a comparative yield with leds within this budget?

Being a student my choices are food or going over budget. So I’m trying to be as cost efficient as possible.

Greetings fellow cannabis enthusiasts

I’ve attempted indoor growing previously with minimal success due to privacy and sharing accommodation. With only a handful of successful outdoor grows.

I’ve since gone to university and share a flat with my brother. Since moving in with my girlfriend, my room in that flat has been empty. Perfect = extremely private.

So I’ve been collecting thousands of bag-seed over the past five years. Just for this vary moment.

I’d lost my shit with a dealer, getting horrid product when I’d been spending thousands on quality from him whenever I had the extra cash.

I walked into a lighting store and impulsively bought two 85w CFLs with a serious reflector for each. These are for veg as I don’t think I’d be satisfied with using them for flower.

Then mixed up a seedling mix, I have my suspicions it’s a bit too hot but again this was on the spur of the moment.

1/4 part freedom farms organic Promix.

1/4 buffered coco

1/4 worm castings

1/4 perlite

Made a little nursery from a spare snake tub with some cross ventilation holes installed.

Here’s them all ready to germ. I got really baked and thought “Well fuck, lets dump a bankie of pips into this 2l tub to ensure I get at least a few to germ.” Well I should have known better, hahaha I was in for a surprise.

Realized I need to repot sooner rather than later.

Day 5: only 2/15 didn’t survive such a young transplant.

Day 6: transplanted a few stretchy plants.

Day 8: signs of heat stress I think? Trying to cool the cab down with little success on a budget. Also started giving them 6.2 ph bottled water. In case the ph in my areas tap water is causing issues.

Day 9: now we’re really growing like weeds! Leave curling still evident on some plants.

Currently I’m on a super tight budget but I’m working on getting input from my boet in terms of capital.

So what do you guys think? Got a larger space for flowering this is just for vegging for now. I do know I should get reflective material against the walls ASAP just waiting for some spare cash to do so.

She pretty much is what she is. Her stretch has slowed and pretty much committed to flowering now, and starting to get all sparkly.

 

Her canopy has settled on 0.9m2 and she is roughly 40cm from soil surface to canopy.

This morning I had a very close call with my neighbour. I would like to get the opinions of this forum regarding dealing with neighbour ganja related conflict.

I was sitting outside enjoying my first joint of the day after a painful nights sleep. When about 4 minutes into the jay I heard a noise from my neighbours roof. (My backyard is 5m x 4m bordering the wall of my neighbours living room, our roofs touch in some areas)

I hid the jay in my hand but there was a open yet empty grinder lying on the table in front of me. I looked up and saw my elderly male conservative afrikaans neighbour on his roof, looking at me and then moving on to his solar panel geyser.

I freaked out a bit as I was already slightly medicated, but I held my ground and just waited for him to leave. I have one tiny seedling in my yard that I'm unsure of if he saw or not.

I'm concerned I have the boys in blue rolling up to my front door this evening. I've killed all other unnecessary seedlings I had. I only have my healthiest one remaining. Do I just off it or try my luck?

Yes it is, unfortunately I only have stacks of outdoor bagseed.

About two weeks ago I was sitting in my garden puffing a fatty and saw this in a empty pot of potting soil I had laying around.

These probably came from a bunch of bagseed that I had messed outside, but I soon realized they would not thrive in their current conditions. So I replanted the strongest looking seedling in what was probably the most gentle re-potting I have ever done . I planted her in 50/50 coco and perlite, and it looks like she has begun to thrive.

I've been having issues finding Newport at any local stores in my area.

But I did find one of their distributors and they are selling cases of 6 for R111.11 excluding VAT.

Or get a stay of prosecution.

I recently attempted the rosin technique but I had no success.

I did however do my first BHO extraction, I ensured it was in a safe well ventilated are outdoors.
