  1. If the auto seeds were produced in Europe you may be surprised to discover that the advertised characteristics of growth and flowering don't quite apply here. If you don't want to waste money get some local Sativa seeds from a friend and grow those. You will learn more about each phase of growth and how to tackle nute problems. The easy cheap route, but you will learn more. Happy learning.
  2. Will have to so something in the near future to change your mind StickyMo. I know one person out here who is more than qualified to tackle the complexity of producing hybrids with stable genetics, and has zero interest in money. Genetic manipulation appears to be difficult and complex to get just right, relying on much trial and error. Thanks to Watson & Crick (and a little 'acid') the structure of DNA emerged, but only fairly recently with the emergence of 'epigenetics', has the field of genetics started growing again, after a long period of stagnation. New knowledge removes the complexity that results from the lack of knowledge. I believe we can have a really great and significant Seed Bank right here in South Africa, one that will rival the best Seed Banks in the world, and the time to start is right now. Once verified I will be happy to share my knowledge - and knowledge should be Universally free.
  3. I am sure that many of you have been watching developments concerning marijuana on the internet. The Research Documentary released by 420.com was and is a real eye opener for anyone with a brainwashed negativity towards Cannabis. This I discovered when I shared the Documentary with many colleagues and friends. There has been progress since the Documentary was made, positive progress I believe. There are now three Pharma Companies on the verge of releasing a 'new medicine' to the world. The name of the medicine - DELTA 9 - how appropriate! There are even investment opportunities to get in on the ground floor of this remarkable 'discovery' - being hailed as the greatest medical breakthrough since Penicillin. I find it amazing how these guys are able to jump on a Bandwagon and make it theirs - turning plagiarism into discovery. Main thing however - it does bring acceptance, and with that de-criminalization. Here are some informative links; www.drugpolicy.org/ http://www.angelnexus.com/o/web/68573?r=1 http://www.angelnexus.com/o/web/68345 Perhaps we even get old Dr. Oz on our side? Anything is possible in this crazy mixed up world we live in. Happy Smoking...
  4. Thanks for the welcome guys. There is an answer to the 'fire' problem that follows all grows - GROW MORE HERB!

    N toxicity

If there is no nitrogen in the Bloom that you are using - then the dark leaf color you are seeing cannot be nitrogen overload. Dark leaf color can be confusing. Early stage potassium and phosphorous deficiencies present with dark leaves that can easily be confused with nitrogen overload. Even micro-nutrient deficiencies of manganese and zinc can cause the leaves to go a dark green. So consider the possibility of a deficiency rather than an overload. Sometimes a quick check is possible if you use a foliar spray containing half strength or quarter strength potassium and phosphorus. If after a couple of days spraying morning and evening you see no improvement - try low strength micro-nutrients in a spray. If you are using tap water - high levels of calcium can lock out your magnesium, and that too, starts with leaf darkening, and all sorts of problems start cropping up. I use DIW (de-ionized water) exclusively, since discovering such problems. Good luck.
  6. Greetings Free Thinkers. I am an old but wise, retired research scientist. I spent many years working on that dreaded condition -cancer. What better way to spend my retirement years continuing the same work, but with Cannabis instead of deadly poisonous pharmaceutical compounds. As a newbie, I felt a need to join with others more experienced with this incredible plant. What better site than 420. I began only in May/June this year, but I have my first harvest expected in 3 weeks time. It was quite a learning experience - but now that I can 'talk' to the plants, it has become most relaxing and pleasurable, especially so, combined with a cerebral high. I hope to learn more here, but my goal is to contribute. Peace.
  7. The same old hype that's been doing the rounds for decades. Rather than read bullshit propagated by the mass media, one should consider that matters of drugs and drug addition fall within the realm of science, so would it not be better to get information on these topics from science? When Pharmaceutical Company's start growing cannabis then you know all the adverse crap is just that, a lot of crap. It has become a part of the Pharma Industry...
