    Such a stupid site

Have a Black Friday sale and no stock. Yeah Growguru. Way to piss of potential customers

Just another incompetent business faking it in SA.

And your "real business" in this industry is? I've had great service from them for years, I'll shop there quicker than others closer to me.

  2. Technically they are entirely different. Total dissolved solids is a measurement of actual dissolved solids in solution. EC is only a representation of the resistance in solution. The two are theoretically not interchangeable and entirely different. Your confusion comes in from companies converting the resistance into a possible representation of total dissolved salts or "part per million". This conversion is based on particular parameters and works more as a representation than an actual account for the solute. Try aim to use EC rather than TDS/PPM. If you know what you put into your solution, you can use a bit of simple math and work out your concentration by resistance.

  3. Peat lost popularity here because of cost. Coco was cheaper and punted as being as good/better. I prefer peat, the pH is easily balanced and the activity is far better imo. It the medium preferred by professional flower growers, however the cost is often the reason it is ignored. Want some golden advice? If you use Lime/Rock dust/Phosphate/Oyster etc, you'll want peat not coco.

  4. There are a few options for led light sources, some local to South Africa others not, all components are manufactured in other countries depending on where you source. Even hlg uses diodes produced in Asian factories. They have recently invested in a machine which solders to their pcb’s in the USA so they can claim manafactured in the USA, however the machine which does the soldering I speculate has Asian origins as well.

I currently am employed as a grower at a legal grow operation harvesting what equates to 15 kilos of premium indoor per week. And we incorporate hid and led lighting. Each has advantages put my personal grows will all be led from now on.

States side? -+ 50kg/month yeah? What kind of photon intensity per square?
