Organics gurus got you covered on the pH and amendments ... A few more bob on the fabric pots:

 

Elevate them as much as you're able to, to allow some airflow. It'll help them dry out more evenly. Even just a couple cms will help. Can't tell from the pic if they are already.

 

If the bottom inch of the fabric pots are soggy af, which is often the case I find with mine, could try a small layer of hydroton on the bottom, next transplant (if you haven't already and you're potting up), and/or an intermittent, or thermostat controlled, heating pad underneath provided it doesn't raise ambient temps/root zone too much.

 

I'm not in soil, but often the top of the medium will be dry and a small bamboo probe or feel of the bottom of the pot is moist.

Didn't mention the seedlings and clones has started to kick into gear after the mite infestation which is a relief.

Lucky enough to pick up another 2 Royal Glue bug free clones.

Thanks Zairek,i didnt add those ammendments because the palm peat with soil had good drainage. Vermiculite holds moisture so you dont also want to hold to much moisture with a small plant. That was my logic when i thought about it. Yes unfortunately it is the LED,i only came across the forum after i took photos so next time ill take it in natural light. Thinking of getting a cmh light.

Imo if I may, if you are not comfortable with growing as I am I wouldn't get too involved in putting together your own soil mix, get something from Freedom Farms or Jamie and take it from there. From my little experience I would genuinely get a good quality mixed soil, takes a lot of the guess work for a beginner like me lol

Lil update with about a week and a half to go I think on the Vanilla and DC clones, the DC has started to give off a soft purple soft of colour, normal to some pheno?

The Vanilla is super frosty and sticky.

The CM bag seeds will go an extra week on the others as the tricombs are still mostly clear.

Started giving only Ripener, so here's holding thumbs.

I realise the post is an old one but 3 years later the issues remain the same.

I personally would like to get a little advice from those of our community that are parents and particularly those that are parents to prevent teens. Obviously this being my first grow I have come to realise that it's really not something that one can "hide" anymore. Fortunately they have seen (they being a 5yr old Son and 11 year old daughter) the box and plants briefly but have not asked what plants they are etc etc .

Anyhow, it's been on my mind lately as to what I would say as to explaining the reason for use, especially now the the likes of my daughter is being taught Cannabis is a drug among others.

So how have you that are parents entered into this discussion and what was the outcome? I know my kids will love me regardless as we have a great family circle, and are good ppl at heart so the fact that I do and telling them doesn't concern me really lol.

Anyone just thought I'd raise this topic from another point of view.

Hi Growopz (don't want to use your name unless you pronounce  it) I have received most of my lights and the magnifying loupe from you. Really great to have options locally available and I'm loving the lights at the moment.

May I ask, would you and your business be susceptible to alternative products other than those listed on your website? For instance if you see or if we regularly request something not locally available, would you or your company be partial to perhaps including it in your product range?

Two weeks of flowering, 5-6 days drying, then *at least* 2 weeks curing. No point rushing, as the dry and cure can make or break your grow.
